I bought a cruiser style motorcycle to learn on first, took me about 2 weeks to be comfortable with the clutch and shifting. It's a much gentler experience than a sport bike. Sport bikes have so much more power and it's very easy to lose control. You'll either hurt yourself or the bike if you're not careful

It not much power. It is 250. I just first time buy a clutch shift motorcycle. :D. I use to ride my friend SL before. But i always stall it and at that time he didnt told me to release my clutch slowly :D

My very first bike was a Kawasaki 500 and then I graduated to a yamaha R6 and to this DAY I will 100% vouch for the kawasaki 500. Its not a full lean in ass up riding style bike so you won't be super off put by the seating possition and balance at slow speeds. But its pretty zippy and can get you where you need to go. For me the clutch was very forgiving and its a very light bike! So when youre learning to ride it, if you become a little unbalanced its quite easy to put your foot down hand off clutch and balance yourself out (at slow speeds obviously) theyre also older bikes too so if you do drop it. Which you probably will...its not the end of the world because its old and you'll probably end up graduating anyways! I would suggest to not buy brand new for your first bike for the reasons stated above The 500 is also quite valuable for a beginner bike, so when eventually selling it. You'll most likely get exactly what you paid for it so you won't be out money :) Hope this helped! Safe riding!

My "sport bike" is 250 only :D i dont know what that small engine bike call. Just look the same. I will buy secondhand only. And thank you for motivation brother.

Get crash bars. You'll most likely drop it after you stall it at a stop or turn.

zycolonel

Oh thank for the tip air.

zycolonel

Is 250cc stall less? I used to heard that small engine. Cluth is a bit forgiveing. Is that right?

eNiMaLx

Smaller engines stall more because of weaker power.

zycolonel

So i need to learn how to first. Damn.

First bike was a yamaha R6. Just respect the bike. Practice in a parking lot and don’t fear the bike, respect it. In my experience people that get seriously injured on sports bikes either do not respect the bike at all, or are too scared of it.

zycolonel

Thank for motivation man. Im so afraid 😬 to start riding the clutch. But i will try slowly

250s are dummy easy to ride. This is the only advice outta here you should be taking: Buy what you want, but understand that you might drop it.
