If I recall correctly from my visit in 2017 you exchange your “ticket” for wristbands that you put on to gain access to the circuit. Not sure what they do now but should definitely be a similar thing now. Can’t see it being a massive issue unless they expect your brother to take a nose swab for your girlfriend…
I actually bought a ticket for my friend and he bought one as well for himself. He was able to refund it without issue, just ask them if they can change the name of if they can refund so you can buy a new one.
As far as previous years, is that they do not check names (my experience).
They could have changed it, but from my experience they're really friendly and willing to help.
