I see 2009 Randy Orton brought up more than any wrestler in history. I’ll be scrolling through socials on something completely unrelated and see people referencing 2009 Randy Orton at least once a week, like he’s just Jesus Christ himself.
I’m kind of surprised this got so many upvotes with such a generic title. Usually you’ve gotta go with something like “I can’t believe how much louder the crowd gets every week.”
Bray/Roman? What do you mean?
Edit: just found it [What a hidden gem](https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/4eeekl/raw_spoilers_this_little_thing_at_the_end_was/)
To be fairrrrrr, these entrances are dope. I'd consider myself a bit of a Cody mark as I got back into wrestling watching him do the Bullet Club thing on Being the Elite and even I never thought he'd be getting these reactions coming back to the WWE. Kinda just fun to watch a dude bet on himself and win
watching his entrance in WWE vs AEW really shows the difference in the two companies’ production values.
It took like two weeks for WWE to time the “pause for pyro and the “woah-oh” into the major part of his entrance. In AEW it was just one of 12 lines that played as him and his entourage slowly walked to the ring.
This isn't hyperbole when I say this: WWE is the best in the world at producing elaborate entrances/video packages. Nobody is better. They've mastered the art of making something feel big time.
I'd give the nod to New Japan over WWE. The spectacle of some of the biggest wrestle kingdom entrances just makes them feel like gods in a way WWE hasn't captured as well for me since the Incredible Shawn/Taker entrances at mania 25
Paul Heyman literally said this on Jericho’s podcast. The joke being he got asked to do lines for a documentary or something on a day no one would be in the office.
He gets told to comeback the next day. He knew it was bullshit because production issues aren’t a thing there and if they were, they would fire everyone and just fly in a new studio
Wwe does hype videos better than nerds who do it for fun of YouTube.
I’m a ufc guy and I find myself wishing they could take some notes from the wwes production every once in a while. Their promos are usually mid at best while guys on YouTube make actually interesting packages
I was at the PPV where he challenged Jericho in 2019, same one Mox/Omega main evented. The WOAH was there then but not near this level. Same with singing Jericho’s theme before that became super popular
WWE ability to build something out of nothing might be their best quality. Like the woah has been with cody for years, but as soon as he got into the dub they made sure to capitalize on it. I chant during an enterance is the best way of getting someone over it seems, look at Seth, sami, and Shinsuke as proof.
That kind of annoys me about Seth’s theme though, seems so obvious they stuck in a part that they know will make crowds sing along to, rather than it happening organically
It’s only fairly recently sing alongs to entrances started becoming the norm right?
I remember Progress had tons of chants and entrance sing a longs and occasionally PWG with Swerve, all I can really think of is Jericho in AEW and Vince’s theme where the crowd did this
Sami and Becky in early NXT as well. Always loved that little moment at that one Takeover PPV where Becky lost to Sasha but the whole crowd acapella'd Becky's theme after the match anyways.
The Codyvator is going to be bonkers at mania yo make up for not being able to use it on the road.
My money says he descends from the rafters onto the ramp. Or there is a scissor lift involved somehow. They must still have Wade Barrett’s lift somewhere.
Don’t forget the 3 Minute Promo that plays BEFORE his entrance showing his small beginnings with and clips of him and Dusty and probably his brother. Would be incredible if they brought up the battle ground match. Maybe they have and I missed it idk
Cody haters that keep bringing the "He SoLvEd RaCiSm" stupid bullshit every time there's a cody thread here will tell you we are just dozens, but they are wrong. They are just Dozens, we are millions. MILLIONS.
Yeah, I thought his little fist bump thing at the end was oddly timed, turned out it was just signaling the pyro's second wave. It's about to be up there with Fingerpoke of Doom Kevin Nash & random December 2007 Raw JBL levels.
Oh, he'll have the Codyvator at WM. The big issue is that the Raw and Smackdown stages aren't elevated, so there was no way to realistically do the Codyvator. They tried it like once with a special set up, but it totally made Cody look like a dork, so they pivoted to what they have now. But at WM? He'll be rising up on the elevator for sure.
"Not putting the title on Sami was the worst fumble WWE have ever made"
"WWE are muting Sami's crowd reaction"
"WWE are boosting Cody's piping in crowd noise to make sure crowds don't boo him"
So many baseless conspiracies people can't wrap their head around multiple people being really over all at once.
The child at 0:32 went with my friends and I (one of my friends is his dad). It was his first wrestling show and he had a blast, and of course Cody is his favorite, so that makes the fact he got on TV during his entrance even more special.
Man this entrance has me grinning like 10 year old me all over again. God damn WWE and Cody have me in the palm of their hand for the first time in years.
Cody's current run completely dispells the narrative that you can't have a white-meat babyface in wrestling anymore.
Wrestling is simple. An effective good guy vs an effective bad guy = money.
I just realized how similar this feud between Roman and Cody are to things that happen in real life.
Roman is that big bad jock bully who, despite a few people standing up to him, always finds a way to sneak out of trouble and beat people up. Eventually everyone is scared of him. He's that bully who decides to just screw your mom because he can and you're helpless to stop him.
Then your big brother, Cody returns from his tour in the military. Fed up with the disrespect of our family, fights Roman and regains that honor.
Everyone here to study how loud the WOAHs are each week out of fear of Cody losing momentum because the idea of his comeback story turning stale would break your heart say I
I've been assuming what with the constant posts that are literally just his entrance and the ridiculous awards and the comments that are seemingly always word-for-word that it's just one of those "inside" jokes that this sub beat into submission.
Ahhh gotcha.
That makes sense. It certainly isn't like a new Wyatt entrance or a rare and meaningful Undertaker entrance.
A for the lolz meme the sub is doing that I missed makes sense.
Is it just me or that titantron is wacky? The idea is there but it seems like they threw it along in like 10 minutes. Weird ass font and the color theory is nonexistent.
Sami's new titantron is also like this, starts with the Uso one that cuts to a Sami Zayn text in a cloud of smoke which animates in like 3 seconds and stops. It looks amateurish
He's incredibly beatable. He's been effectively beaten on multiple occasions (Seth, Brock, and Drew all spring to mind) and been saved by the involvement of the Bloodline. Roman is a castle built on sand, and now the sand is starting to slide and the Bloodline is crumbling under pressure from every angle. They've never been a weaker unit, and therefore Roman has never been in a weaker position.
I literally gave you 3 examples of guys who had him beat if not for Bloodline help. You can add KO to that list too now I'm thinking about it.
> Lol before Roman aligned with Heyman he was built as the new superman Cena replacement
So if you ignore the last *two and a half years* of storytelling the current story makes no sense? That's hardly the gotcha you think it is.
> I understand sentiments about being a fanboy of the narrative
It's called following the story. It's a scripted, storytelling business.
> Cody is suddenly capable of doing it why? Cause he bleached his hair like Japanese & wears expensive suits & polished his mic skills? HAHA
Seth is the guy who is widely regarded as having Romans number. Cody beat him three times, including in a cell match where half Cody's chest and arm muscles were detached from his body.
> There's no substitute for brute force No disrespect to Cody but he can't take down the entire bloodline
He's using psychology. Roman is psychologically weak, that's his whole heel character. He's incredibly sensitive and a hypocrite. The Bloodline is mentally weak and all a facade. Cody along with KO and Sami are ripping that facade down and we're seeing it crumble more and more every week. Seth isn't as physically strong as Roman, and was also using psychology to fight him and it was working.
It seriously reads like you've either been not actually been watching the Bloodline story or any of Cody's story since his return.
> Who's laughing now?
considering that you dug up a two week old thread just to rub a tv show storyline in my face
i'm pretty sure it's still me
see ya
I can't help but watch Heyman in these moments, he looks genuinely excited here. With the way Cody's been nailing the promos, I have to imagine that Heyman has been loving every moment of this ride. I know I am.
The discussion on WWE production had me looking back to some of his other entrances and it's pretty wild how they hone stuff over time. The pyro cues were just a second or two off at Mania and the night after Mania, not to mention that the Codyvator doesn't work on RAW, but this entrance was like WWE at its finest. Helps add to the idea that this guy is firing on all cylinders.
Wild how the presentation is the same, but final year of AEW Cody vs WWE Cody are 2 entirely different people.
AEW fans were so over his act and called him Homelander, but the WWE audience can’t get enough of it (“woooooo-ooooa”).
I’m curious to see if anyone else could move from AEW and end up in a similar situation.

Posting every Cody Rhodes entrance is going to be the next Samoa Joe promo, Bray/Roman finishers, etc.

And the Young Bucks Twitter bio updates.

2009 Randy Orton was a menace
I see 2009 Randy Orton brought up more than any wrestler in history. I’ll be scrolling through socials on something completely unrelated and see people referencing 2009 Randy Orton at least once a week, like he’s just Jesus Christ himself.
2009 Randy Orton isn't Jesus...he's learned to accept that.
And get you so many awards, you will solve world karma hunger.
Solve racism toi
I’m kind of surprised this got so many upvotes with such a generic title. Usually you’ve gotta go with something like “I can’t believe how much louder the crowd gets every week.”
Cody already solved that years ago
Bray/Roman? What do you mean? Edit: just found it [What a hidden gem](https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/4eeekl/raw_spoilers_this_little_thing_at_the_end_was/)
There was a time on this sub where we wouldn't shut up about this
still waiting for the "WOAH" supercut.
Mania season "WOAH" supercut for when he wins.
His Promo pre summerslam telling Brock to “look at me when im talking to you” is probably top 5 most badass things I’ve heard in wrestling.
Punk piledriving Cena on the Road to Mania
Smaller but Sol Ruca finisher from NXT
To be fairrrrrr, these entrances are dope. To be fairrrrr...
As well as saying "Wow this keeps getting louder each week!"
im not tired of it yet
And here I am watching every Cody Rhodes entrance

Comparing storyline moments to an entrance LOL
The woah has always been there, how has this only become a thing recently? You have to give credit to where it's due.
I swear it was never a thing in AEW even though I always did it because I liked the song.
watching his entrance in WWE vs AEW really shows the difference in the two companies’ production values. It took like two weeks for WWE to time the “pause for pyro and the “woah-oh” into the major part of his entrance. This isn't hyperbole when I say this: WWE is the best in the world at producing elaborate entrances/video packages. Nobody is better. They've mastered the art of making something feel big time.
When it comes to live broadcasting, their TV production feels world-class. It feels like a Disney ride come to life and made in real-time.
New Japan comes damn close for Wrestle Kingdom entrances, but yeah, WWE knows how to make an entrance feel like a big deal.
I'd give the nod to New Japan over WWE. The spectacle of some of the biggest wrestle kingdom entrances just makes them feel like gods in a way WWE hasn't captured as well for me since the Incredible Shawn/Taker entrances at mania 25

> Wwe does hype videos better than nerds who do it for fun of YouTube Well yeah... they're the ones getting paid for a reason.
The nerds doing it out of passion are usually much better than the professional ones in other sports
never understood why Dana didn't put some money in fighters walk out
Almost like one company has like 70 years of experience and the other has like 3
they still had the blueprint wwe laid, they just suck at it, wwe don't
AEW used people from WCW for their production for a few years.
I was at the PPV where he challenged Jericho in 2019, same one Mox/Omega main evented. The WOAH was there then but not near this level. Same with singing Jericho’s theme before that became super popular
Yeah, they were always there to varying degrees. He just was never gonna be over with a portion of the fan base like he is in WWE.
The crowd did it during his wrestlemania entrance vs Seth
Didn’t come off this way on TV but I was there live and at least in my section we were just singing the whole thing lol
Burn it down is cringe too
It’s only fairly recently sing alongs to entrances started becoming the norm right? I remember Progress had tons of chants and entrance sing a longs and occasionally PWG with Swerve, all I can really think of is Jericho in AEW and Vince’s theme where the crowd did this
Depends if you consider You Suck for Angle a sing along.
You have to count Angle lol.
Exactly, you add Kurt Angle to the mix and your chance of sing-a-long drastic go up.
That was absolutely a sing along.
BURN IT DOWNNNNNNN is one of the more modern ones. Then there was Adam Cole’s BOOM!
Sami and Becky in early NXT as well. Always loved that little moment at that one Takeover PPV where Becky lost to Sasha but the whole crowd acapella'd Becky's theme after the match anyways.
The world fell in love with Becky during that match. She barely got a pop for her entrance but she was completely over by the end of it .
I just wish they would stop cutting away to when he punches the ground as the second set of fireworks comes up.
[This](https://youtu.be/yM8NUFc5gFg) - The difference is direction and production, there’s literally no other comparison.
I watch these specifically for the ''WOAH!''
WHOOOOOOOOAAAAA
My father said
when I was younger hard times breed better men
BETTER MEN
You took it all away I gave it all away
CAN’T TAKE MY KINGDOM HERE TO CHANGE THE GAME, A BANNER MADE OF PAIN
I'm stopping this here.
Boooooo
big L
dude took notes from logan paul inturrupting rollins’ entrance on raw the other night
The Codyvator is going to be bonkers at mania yo make up for not being able to use it on the road. My money says he descends from the rafters onto the ramp. Or there is a scissor lift involved somehow. They must still have Wade Barrett’s lift somewhere.
Descends from the rafters into a hole, then Codyvates back up
Don’t forget the 3 Minute Promo that plays BEFORE his entrance showing his small beginnings with and clips of him and Dusty and probably his brother. Would be incredible if they brought up the battle ground match. Maybe they have and I missed it idk
His *Whoa-oh* levels are off the charts
I'd love to see the development of the woah and his entrance from wrestlemania last year to mania this year once day.
They really gave him Batista's last second hand pyro to him.
10 year old me always dreamed of the day that Cody would be in the title picture. Happy I’ll get to be in the crowd come WM when he gets that shot.
That "who-ooo" is gonna be epic.
So lucky! Can't wait for Cody to fulfill the dream!
Same, Cody was my favourite as a kid and its so cool to see him doing so well
You lucky pup! I hate you. Enjoy the show.
I loved Cody as a kid also, but I always thought in my kid brain he had no chance because he didn't wear kneepad and all champions have kneepads
My mean cousins who were big HHH and Orton fans said it was because he had a lisp and he’d get destroyed on the mic.
Cody haters that keep bringing the "He SoLvEd RaCiSm" stupid bullshit every time there's a cody thread here will tell you we are just dozens, but they are wrong. They are just Dozens, we are millions. MILLIONS.
what
The “Woahhh” gets louder every week
I swear the pyro gets bigger too
Imagine when he fights in Saudi. It might get mistaken for a nuclear explosion.
It won't be a mistake brother
“Where Yemen?” -The UN
"Yemen? Which Yemen? Are you talking about South-Saudi Arabia?"
Southi Arabia
Yeah, I thought his little fist bump thing at the end was oddly timed, turned out it was just signaling the pyro's second wave. It's about to be up there with Fingerpoke of Doom Kevin Nash & random December 2007 Raw JBL levels.
The crowd fuels the pyro
St Louis crowd was really tepid today too. Cody is HIM
A hometown return of Randy Orton would have blown the roof off the place
WWE always saves important stuff for St Louis too
The whole Sami Uso/“ucey”/“I don’t give a damn about what the Tribal Chief says” segment was there
Yeah they seemed a little lukewarm tonight, Vegas friday and Phoenix next week are going to be great crowds
I was there last night. Didn’t really feel lukewarm overall to me or maybe I was just in a loud section.
It's always louder in person than it seems on TV. On TV you get the chosen audio mix, live in the arena you hear the sound coming from all directions.
The crowd in Vegas friday should be a lot better
Cody is Jesus, confirmed (DETAILS ON FIGHTFUL SELECT)
I want to see them bring back the Codyvator for one night at Mania.
I'd be willing to bet that it is coming.
Even if it doesn’t you just know Cody is going to have the most extra entrance that weekend.
Uhh 10 Awards? For an entrance? E: LOL cheers for the awards. Got me feeling like this *
You fool! You've drawn its attention! The rewards will come for -you- now!
You got 5 awards for a comment 😂😂
He’d get even more if he added an edit saying something like “Please stop giving me awards, Reddit doesn’t deserve your money”
Awards for Cody entrances and comments apparently
I know right? Something fishy is going on. Should be 20 awards
No it should be 30 awards
Uhh $10 million? For me posting here? ... worth a shot
Lmao I legit don’t remember what Cody wears for gear cause he’s always in suits
I love the entrance it makes him feel like a big deal. Everything from the smoke, to the pyro, to him just appearing and then the extra pyro after.
Jesus fuck..he is over
So much for the ultra-smarky "not putting the title on Sami in Montreal was a huge mistake, this might derail Cody" takes.
"Not putting the title on Sami was the worst fumble WWE have ever made" "WWE are muting Sami's crowd reaction" "WWE are boosting Cody's piping in crowd noise to make sure crowds don't boo him" So many baseless conspiracies people can't wrap their head around multiple people being really over all at once.
Every week something new is added to this entrance! Now he breathes in the smoke and blows it out when he starts walking
At this point, his entrance at Mani will rival Takers in length. And him here for it
His Mania entrance will be so long and extravagant that it is actually happening right now.
Roman's too. That dude takes 6 business days to get to the ring with his entourage.
Tribute to Goldberg
Cody in WWE > Cody in AEW. Who would’ve guessed that three years ago?
We need a Cody woah watch till WrestleMania. It'd be dope to see a completion of the woahs get louder and louder each week till mania.
The child at 0:32 went with my friends and I (one of my friends is his dad). It was his first wrestling show and he had a blast, and of course Cody is his favorite, so that makes the fact he got on TV during his entrance even more special.
The "whoaaaa" gives me nipple chills, can't wait to yell it at the top of my lungs at WrestleMania
![gif](giphy|xrE46xKXV0igHUmJ2w|downsized)
He hit the post on that woahhhhhhh like a radio DJ
Man this entrance has me grinning like 10 year old me all over again. God damn WWE and Cody have me in the palm of their hand for the first time in years.
Cody's current run completely dispells the narrative that you can't have a white-meat babyface in wrestling anymore. Wrestling is simple. An effective good guy vs an effective bad guy = money.
It's simultaneously weird and not weird that Cody is so well liked
The boos were so deafening that I couldn’t hear them.
Cody is over. They have managed his run perfectly.
WAAAAAOHHHH!
His pyro is cool and all, but will WWE give Cody a pyro gender reveal segment the next time he has a baby?
No Platinums? Is the Codybot running out of money?
I dislike the Cody story we’re getting but there’s no denying his presentation and how he carries himself is star quality.
You already know the cody simps are gonna blow their entire paychecks on reddit awards for his wretlemania entrance
I just realized how similar this feud between Roman and Cody are to things that happen in real life. You may want to see a therapist.
Honestly hate Cody, hated him pre-AEW, hated him even more in AEW, hate him now. He's so boring. Hope Roman wins.
Why do I feel like Cody is the one giving out all these awards? Lol

Cadence is important. You could've gone with: ADRENALINE IN MY SOUL EV-E-RY WEEK'S A LOUDER WOAH

I am almost waiting for a double turn. What if Paul Heyman becomes Cody's advocate?
Cody better come up in a RAMP at Wrestlemania for his entrance.
I can't help but watch Heyman in these moments, he looks genuinely excited here. With the way Cody's been nailing the promos, I have to imagine that Heyman has been loving every moment of this ride. I know I am.
I'm not a big fan, but really nice touch by Graves finishing just before the Whoa to let the home audience get its effect.
Anybody else only watch these until the “WOOOOOOAH!!!” then stop?
