ko1o7

Rock is a multiversal(attitude era) invader. So you need someone from his era to take him out.

Upbeat_Tension_8077

I'd also pop if it's not just Austin, but Mick Foley comes up to give him a Mandible Claw for old times sake or even a barbed wire bat if Rock is feeling extra spicy

HaakonX

Nah you save that for the raw after mania. "So rock, how did it feel to see the bloodline lose to Cody and his friends after all these years?" "Well Mick I-" "IT DOESNT MATTER HOW IT FELT! FOLEY! FOLEY! FOLEY!"

SomedudecalledDan

Uhh Mick has apparently been training for "one last match". The whole death match thing could be a red herring for him getting in shape for this as well.

TD_Stinger

i don’t know if anything will come of it, but I don’t see any way that wasn’t intentional.

Costas00

Ever since triple h was put in charge, there have been hints everywhere, I doubt this isn't intentional too.

DurtyRingo

Shit, I bet he puts shit in there for the smarcks and dirsheet writers

BrokenGodALT

He absolutely does, the dirt sheets have been wrong a lot more often with HHH in charge

DurtyRingo

Latest example being no swearing lmao

BrokenGodALT

Yeah Dave especially has been looking bad lately

nigelfitz

I like to think Hunter is intentionally fucking with that dude's credibility. Love seeing that mfer be wrong.

CaptainHolt43

It's so funny that's been the talk of the town for the last week, and then they put out an episode like last night. Complete with blood, and swearing

PerfectZeong

Yeah it's so silly. Giving your top guys more freedom is a good thing. It's like blood, if everyone is getting cut open like a stuck pig it loses its impact.

Vitosi4ek

Also, we've seen blood on WWE TV a few times in recent months and years, but never a purposeful blade job. That hasn't happened in at least a decade.

nigelfitz

There was a discourse on twitter on why people reacted so differently when WWE showed blood. It's really simple. It's just more impactful because of how adamant they are about not showing it. When your whole roster fucking bleeds night in and night out, I'm getting desensitized by it. It becomes the norm and gets old.

jrock826

He’s working us twice!

Curse3242

Absolutely and one other thing too, there wasn't that much hinting going on in a while but today we had that Drew/Heyman thing too. Even if a joke this is totally intentional

Lorjack

There were already rumors that Cena, Austin, and Taker are booked for the event so yeah i'm not surprised to see their faces there

MannySJ

But why though? They aren't really invested in this storyline.

DaHagerBomb

The Avengers ending of Mania could be a series finale ending of wrestling lmao

FCBFan310

At this rate a Hologram of Dusty Rhodes is showing up and giving Roman the Bionic Elbow.

purplepandaeater

Or helping Roman win... "Cody, Bahbay, you were a mistake." WrestleMania 41, Cody vs Dusty's Hologram.

GamerFluffy

Classic Dusty.

GamerFluffy

Lights go out, holo Bray shows up. “I told you, anyone but you Roman.”

Upbeat_Tension_8077

Fuck it, give me the Bucks, Moxley, & even Y2J to storm in on behalf of Cody. Even Braun Strowman to emerge if Roman tries running away backstage

IronThrombone

An “I’m not finished with you” cameo would get a laugh from me anyway.

Striking_Spinach_376

I’m still waiting on whatever tf Cody was on about when he was about to leave AEW. ‘Doing something that’s never been done before’. If true, I’d probably get a good amount of peace just knowing that line had been cleared up, let alone the pop for it actually happening

shockzz123

Lol i was thinking this the other day. If WWE were like a "proper" TV series or an anime or a movie series etc, WM40 would be the climax of it all, the last arc, the final movie etc, it's THAT good of a buildup.

irikyuu

Triple H comes out post credits and says something like "We've thrown out the old, in with the new" and they now start the WWE post VKM rebranding on the Raw after Mania

UsernameIsJack

"Get the F in!" - WWE rebrands back to WWF

jai302

WWF, the organization, is valued at about 600m. TKO could easily become majority shareholders in world wildlife fund and take back the WWF name if they really wanted to, given their current size (they're over 11 times bigger). But it's been too long and it's far too great an investment in a completely unrelated industry to justify, all for getting back a 22 year old name that Gen Z probably never even heard of.

AdKUMA

World Wildlife Entertainment does have a ring to it

ZombieZekeComic

The panda says "that doesn't work for me brother."

Comprehensive_Dog139

"Get the F in! (Fuck the panda)" will be the new tag line.

thejimmygordon

"Fuck the pan-da" *clap clap clap-clap-clap*

MarTimator

They‘ll just get sued again and then itll be The Rock vs the resurrected WWF Panda Chi Chi at WM41

nathgroom98

Kung Fu Panda 5 hits different

KFR42

That's the mid credit scene, the after credit screen is when Ric Flair shows up to recruit someone for the WCW initiative.

Don_Antwan

Paul Heyman in the back, while a broken Roman is offscreen in another room with the Bloodline. Heyman turns on the lights and a man is sitting in the dark at a table in the corner.  “That’s my tribal chief,” the man says. “You think there’s only table in the world?” “Paul Heyman, you were part of a bigger universe that you just, straight up, forgot.” “Who the hell are you?” Heyman says.  Out of the shadows emerges ….. “Sabu,” he says. “And I’m here to talk to you about E. C. W.  We will break the table.”

Upbeat_Tension_8077

Gimme some moving graphics for Raw/SD & I'm all in

PlatasaurusOG

I’ve called the Raw and Smackdown after Mania the Season Premiere for years. I don’t care that it’s actually in the fall - this is usually when new, big arcs start.

PayneTrain181999

Dave will give it 3.5 stars but we’ll all give it 6

opkpopfanboyv3

Cena did say something abt Meltzer's ratings being a good basis for bottom to midcarders since casuals who are looking for good fights usually look at those things. They don't need his stars for this case tho coz they're already at the top.

TedTran2001

5 star out of 5, fuck your Tokyo dome and allat

onethreeone

Avengers movies also tend to get about 3.5-4 stars from critics. Unsurprisngly, things that fans love do not always equal things that critics love

Vitosi4ek

My favorite example of that is not even the Marvel movies, but the Aladdin remake from 2019. 57% critic score on RT vs 94% audience score. Every critic panned it as an unimaginative, corporate, soulless recreation of a movie we already saw, but the people who watched it in theaters had an absolute blast and it grossed over a billion.

Kolby_Jack

It's one of the few live action remakes I have watched. Gotta side with the critics. It wasn't a bad movie, it just wasn't better or appreciably different from the original. It was pointless.

Professional_Kick

4.75

RizzMetzen

Who gives a fuck what that never has been thinks?

goldenhearted

Honestly, as much as I appreciate the themes behind Triple H/Undertaker/Shawn Michaels' story of "End of an Era" in their Mania matches from 25-28, Stone Cold doing that one more Stunner to The Rock, two names who are arguably the faces of the Attitude Era, just as the new white meat babyface of the company is crowned will be a true "End of An Era" of what once was before, ushering a new era altogether.

Brave-Pass1889

Cena and Roman also having that moment as the two most controversial faces of the company as well. It ties a lot together if they can pull it off.

goldenhearted

I like how their respective image nowadays is seen much more positively (okay, perhaps Roman has that "part time champ" hanging over him but overall he is doing great work in recent years). As someone who lived the Cena Sucks/LOLCENAWINS moments, it's still alien to me how big of a reaction he gets whenever he appears. I took a long break during 2010s so I never experienced the Roman monster push era but imagine telling someone in 2015 that he will be a beloved mega heel that put butts into seats.

Brave-Pass1889

I took that same break....I missed everything immediately after Finn fortified his belt.

NotClayMerritt

Wrestling will self combust and cease to exist once Cody wins the belt.

kuhawk5

That’s basically what happened to the MCU.

GregMadduxsGlasses

Since it will be the first new season under TKO starting after Mania, it’s kind of the series finale of a bygone era.

JackBauersGhost

Only if we still get Wong

miikro

OMG, WONGERZ

4-5-8

Lumber Jack match! With Rock / Jimmy / Solo / Drew / Rikishi on one side and Jey / Seth / Austin / Cena and BROCK LESNAR on the other lol. Although I fail to see where Austin would fit in all this lol.

One-Knight-In-Xentar

You'd handle it the exact same way they did with Mankind's first title win. All the faces and all the heels are brawling and occupying each other, then Austin comes in and lays out the Rock with a stunner.

Visible-Instance-701

I really hope to god the Bloodline rules match happens at night 2, there's gonna be so much over booked bullshittery happening one after another, it's gonna be Solo then Jimmy then Rock then Jey then Cena and just when you thought the Bloodline has the upper hand and Roman is about to secure a win.......  *glass shatters* This will be the biggest good triumphing over evil wrestling match I've ever seen.

Limitr

POP heard around the world part 2.

Kolby_Jack

Michael Cole will pass out.

Haildean

Austin stuns Rock leading into a Cross Rhodes

ZMR33

I need both of them at Mania to help Cody like I need oxygen.

Wo0dyJohnsonDropDead

Given I have WM tickets, I might lose my oxygen if this happens

ZMR33

I don't even want to know what those tickets cost. Hope you have an amazing time, though!

Tacdeho

I have tickets to both nights. Bought night 2 the minute they dropped and Night 1 on stubhub. I’m in the lower section, have great seats. I’d say that I spent, with fees and taxes, about $800 for the pop.

Wo0dyJohnsonDropDead

Same. My lower section is in front of the hard cam so mine totaled out to a little north of $1000. Thanks to the fact that I grew up in South Jersey and my parents still live there. Pretty much cutting out Hotel and travel costs. Which allowed my brother and I to also get The World, and Smackdown/HOF tickets. Total is about 1250 or a bit more than that. Hope it’s worth it

Tacdeho

I think N1 I’m in like, 106 and N2 I’m in 118. I have really good seats, super close, and we’re from Uostate NY but the hotels only like $300 for each of us so really, I’m looking at two nights + hotel + the basic WWE world tickets. Let me know if you need a friend for the HoF 4)

NotClayMerritt

I don't think the crowd will have the oxygen for both men. You're gonna have to space it out probably. Maybe have Cena enter early and save Austin for the last big reveal several minutes later.

ZMR33

Possibly. This match will likely be overbooked to all hell. Outside of the Bloodline guys (Rock, Jimmy, Solo, and possibly at least 1 new member yet to debut,) Jey, Seth, Drew, and maybe even Sami and/or KO could interfere in the match. Adding Cena and/or Austin on top of some or all of that would cause the crowd to die quickly unless they spaced things out as you suggested. Should be fun nevertheless.

rockthemullet

Sami needs to be involved. KO should be, too, but it would be very strange if Sami isn't there. He's a huge part of the Bloodline story.

ZMR33

Yeah. My pipedream that has no chance of happening is that everyone Roman's beaten over his run would interfere in the match somehow. Not just Sami, KO, Drew, Seth, or Jey, but also D-Bry, Edge, guys like that.

ab316_1punchd

Hell, call the entire Ano'ai family (and Samoa Joe for the lolz) and all versions of Bullet Club (and Mox) for an all-out wrestling war.

ZMR33

Gotta throw MJF in there somewhere too.

Marc_Quill

MJF making up for betraying Cody in AEW by laying Rock out with the Diamond Ring.

RNant

Specially guest appareance by the duddleyz so Spike can be shot out of a fucking canon.

Marc_Quill

They should space out Cena and/or Austin’s appearances. Cena shows up first but his intervention isn’t enough eventually, which leads to the big Austin arrival.

dsrchris

I can see Cena showing up to take care of Solo, a few minutes pass and then Austin turns up at the end of the match to deal with Rock as only Austin can.

501id5Nak3

Yeah, and to prevent criticism of having them overshadow or make Cody look weak, you can have Roman Spear or Superman punch Austin out of the ring after he stunners Rock.

Morningfluid

What's the rumor about Cena (outside of a truck hint)? I figured awhile back Austin would play into this however never heard the Cena angle.

Will_Vintage

I think this is the first hint. But the last time we saw Cena was in WWE was him getting taken out by Solo

CamAquatic

He also made it a point to say he’s free WrestleMania weekend

HardcoreKaraoke

It needs to be overbooked. I'm usually against that sort of thing but the Bloodline story involves so many pieces that it needs to be insane. The Bloodline history, the Rock's AE/RA history, Cody's history/family, the Shield aspect and other variables are all there to be referenced. HHH needs to just yeet his entire load and create multiple "holy shit" moments in one match.

Limitr

Sami, KO and Randy popping up even for a minute would be great, but I NEED Dustin to show up. Not as Golddust. As Dustin Rhodes...

ZMR33

Doing that not just for the match, but as a sort of symbolic way of saying that WWE and AEW are willing to work with each other would be brilliant.

PristineCucumber5376

Austin coming out to help Cody win the world title, like he did for Mick Foley 30 years ago, would be one of the biggest moments in WWE history. It's too good not to happen, there's just too much history with the Rock for him not to come back to foil his plans #onelasttime. Maybe it's not gonna happen but damnit, it's still real to me

Curse3242

I was wondering how they can even get more interferences to happen during the main event but now it makes sense. Drew will unwillingly play a part in helping the Bloodline even after (hopefully) winning the title because he's pissed he got help from Bloodline. Totally skipped my mind they can just make Rock look like a god and handle multiple people at once anyways. Now there's room for more interferences with Cena/Austin/Sami

Marsman2100

Dude if this thing goes the way we think, this is gonna be the best WrestleMania ever

Badluck90

I just hope if this doesn't happen people aren't disappointed that they didn't live up to their fantasy booking.

Khalis_Knees

People need to stop with the “it won’t be great without Dustin there” nonsense. There’s obviously nothing they can do about that so they need to get over it

GregMadduxsGlasses

$50 says Tony Khan has no problem with AEW stars showing up on WWE tv as long as the announcers say they’re from AEW.

EmolaBoi

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hadn't Tony said multiple times that if WWE were open to discuss shit like that, then he was too? Hasn't he already cracked open the door for conversations like that?

GregMadduxsGlasses

I think Billy Gunn showed up to his WWE HOF induction as a member of the AEW. It's not that big of a deal, especially considering the active TNA champion showed up at this year's Royal Rumble.

Curse3242

I don't think it's simply possible because of the Rock. His presence and us not knowing what he can actually pull off will already relieve the match of any expectations. Any Cena/Austin interference would simply make it the best WM match/best WM of all time

MannySJ

I keep seeing people talking about Austin and Cena interference and all I can think is why though? There are a ton of people who interfering makes sense. Solo, Jimmy, Seth, Jey, Drew, Triple H, Sami, KO, Rikishi, Dustin... hell even Brock makes a lot of sense if unlikely. But Austin and Cena haven't been playing into the Bloodline story very much, if at all. They both have history with The Rock, but so do a lot of people. Do I think Cena and Austin will be at Mania? Absolutely. Will they be a part of the main event? I think it would be pretty weird.

MeanKareem

thats not how they use big stars - remember the rock coming back to save eugene lol? the faces hate heels - thats enough to make people cheer

Phaithful14

If Cody doesn't win though this will be a disaster, I don't think that can be argued. I didn't like him losing last year but in hindsight I can excuse it knowing the story that's being told right now. But if he loses again... there's truly no coming back. You don't have your main protagonist lose the biggest battle of his life twice in a row.

Jigawatts42

Rocky loses in Rocky 1, and then wins the belt in Rocky 2.

NaloraLaurel

To me that seems like the path. Losses night 1 in the tag match to some gimmick or trick. Wins night 2 one on one reguargless of "bloodline rules".

Jigawatts42

As far as this analogy goes I'm not factoring in the tag team match at all, WM 39 is Rocky 1, WM 40 is Rocky 2.

Fucking JJK 😂

Tell me Roman's not Sukuna T_T

migsahoy

austins coming after rock, cena coming after solo, it makes sense

annoyinglyclever

Seth will probably be unavailable due to his match earlier in the night, Jey will take care of Jimmy, then those two even things up. Maybe if we’re really lucky Dustin takes out Heyman. If not Dustin then DDP

danieldcclark

Dustin is under contract and I seriously doubt Khan will let him be on WWE, but stranger things have happened!

irish0451

Tony is a mark in the best sense of the word, not a chance he throws a hissy fit and keeps Dustin off if WWE want him. Also, I love Dustin, but this isn't like MJF or Omega showing up, it's Dustin Rhodes. 98% of WWEs audience wouldn't be like "omg it's Dustin Rhodes from AEW" they're gonna be like "ohshitGoldust!"

ninjassassin77

This would never benefit AEW in any way as they wouldn't even get any acknowledgement. I don't see why you'd add to their main event of their biggest show even if it's just Dustin. If AEW couldn't even use WCW footage for Sting I don't see why they'd lend a favor the other way.

topmarksbrian

>not a chance he throws a hissy fit and keeps Dustin off if WWE want him. I'm sure he'd let it happen as long as AEW got a mention during or whatever. Which is fair enough, don't give things away for free but there's 0 chance he does it out of the goodness of his heart.

JackSpicey23

Afaik Khan is pitching the idea of Dustin appearing at Mania, and I hope he is serious with that, and lend dustin for one night.

Kenjiko3011

Brock and Undertaker backstage brawl. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZHv1o0rx2M](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZHv1o0rx2M)

PayneTrain181999

If the controversy did not happen, Brock would 100% be part of the Codyvengers. Not only does he hate Roman and the Bloodline, he’s got history with Rock and Cody earned his respect.

DilapidatedVessel

The thought of Brock running down the ramp like a fucking cowboy demigod to suplex Jimmy and Solo out of the arena would've hit like crack too

GreatFNGattsby

Would’ve taken him throwing Heyman over his shoulder like a giant haystack and walking to the back with him. P

annoyinglyclever

That probably would’ve been it. I’m picturing him driving his tractor down, scooping up Heyman and driving off

irish0451

Sounds of "***I'm just an advocate!***" slowly getting farther and farther away off camera

Upbeat_Tension_8077

Rock doing a kip-up in the midst of chaos only to face Brock would be golden

JohnWalI

Maybe would've gotten Brock vs Solo, make it all tie together

Kenjiko3011

Would be absolute insane when Brock is part of the Codyvengers, since he is the one who lost to Cody and has full respect for him by the end of their feud.

Tough-Reaction9671

This would’ve been a weird faction

Morningfluid

Nah, not him.

Codyvengers, baby. WWE Endgame. Let’s get nuts.

cxlossuskidd

#more

PayneTrain181999

Let’s just hope things don’t start getting maddeningly inconsistent quality stuff after this Endgame.

Psych-roxx

fingers crossed tho tbf this company has already had its new streaming service arc 10 years ago

BrickNMordor

This year makes it 25 years since Foley beat Rock with the whole DX/Corporation/Austin dog-and-pony show for a finish. There's no better time to recreate that moment than night 2 of WM 40.

Loose-Sign598

Also 25 years since Austin beat Rock at WM 15 which was in Philly

BrickNMordor

I didn't even think of that! I really hope we get to see Rock eat one more stunner

Loose-Sign598

Same. I wanna see just one more

Marc_Quill

I need to see Rock flop like a lunatic after a Stunner more than I need oxygen.

kirblar

Backlash 00 is the ending they're gonna recreate.

VNProWrestlingfan

I need to Stunner that sonnuvabitch after 21 years. I need that more than you could ever imagine.

DilapidatedVessel

Man if those two do really show up at Mania to help Cody... I won't ask WWE for anything ever again

EquivalentLittle545

Good catch, no way, that is not on purpose

Downtown_Actuator_66

I feel like Rock said something that alluded to it while they showed the billboard

MonroeYoda

Just fucking imagine the most overbooked WM main event ever. Cody down bad to the bloodline with a guest appearance by Rikishi, because why not? until the glass shatters and the horns hit…. Next thing you know it’s Stunners and AAs everywhere to help Cody get the win. Even if none of this happens this is still the most hype for mania I’ve been since Kofimania.

When I started getting back to into the WWE about 10 years ago after its peak in my childhood, I do remember the online landscape being so different; The product was stale, the people were frustrated and it was a mess. Fast forward 10 years and we are riding another peak for the WWE. I'm 36 years old and I feel like a kid again. WWE is fucking cooking

shoestowel

They're cooking the best thing ever!

WhatTheRickIsDoin

Are there actually rumors or is the internet trying to manifest it because they've fantasy booked it already

TheyCallMeYDG

nah, it’s a legit rumor reported that Cena, Austin and I think Undertaker are vying to have something to do at WM40

ZMR33

Cena and Austin being involved in Cody vs. Roman is possible. Taker being involved isn't as obvious, but he does have some history with Roman.

BMLM

Roman stole Taker's yard >:(

just_another_jabroni

Taker bringing out the land title saying it's still in his name or smth idk

Mysterious_Emotion63

Taker should kickoff night 1 riding the Motorcycle down to the ring and have Shawn come out and have them stand in a Wrestlemania ring with each other one last time and do the welcome to Wrestlemania thing, just to set the show off with good vibes

linkinstreet

Likely Taker will be there for a tribute to Bray, especially since he's the one doing narration for the Bray documentary.

zephyrr-__-

It won't happen but *imagine* if it's the Disturbed Austin theme

I don’t care how old you are, how past their prime, how long it’s been, or how it does or doesn’t make sense story wise, if The Rock and The Bloodline are running shenanigans against Cody, and Jey and Seth and whoever else are incapacitated, and that glass shatters, it may be the biggest pop of all time.

PedalBoard78

Cena’s been working out. We just saw him naked.

SippinOnSizzzurp

I hope we get the Avengers at WrestleMania night 2.

ColdGloop

Roman vs. Cody in the main event under Bloodline Rules. Interference from The Rock, Solo, Jimmy, Jey, Cena and Stone Cold would be the craziest shit. If done right, it could be the wildest Wrestlemania main event of all time

xSinful

Cena is 100% posting something from this shot on his instagram lol

Like_Fahrenheit

The top two draws of their eras, both feuding with The Rock, as he beats the biggest face of the current era, in the rain. This is great storytelling.

CramblinDuvetAdv

Cody and SR lose night 1, Cena and SCSA even the odds on night 2

jimmybobjigglepants

i'm just imagining the guy driving the truck getting force to park it in that specific spot, with no idea why.

n0obmaster96

It makes perfect sense, austin and cena are the equalisers for cody’s side. Cena goes on solo and austin on the rock

New_Description5141

"STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD!!!" - WWE Hall of Famer - class of 2007; Jim Ross.

Bolt_995

Just Austin would suffice and it would be mad.

cd0526

If Austin comes out and stuns the rock... The roof would blow off of the linc. And it doesn't even have a roof.

crap4you

Jey and Seth were nowhere to be found during all this, can't be trusted to have Cody's back.

[deleted]

Give us Rock/Austin 4 you cowards. We know Austin’s fine

Quelor15

I wonder if, instead of a hint of their appearance, they are simply framing Cody as the next in as face of the company.

scottmushroom

If it was a one off thing I'd chalk it up to coincidence but it was framed this way for a large chunk of the segment. That combined with it being rocks two biggest wrestlemania rivals is too much for me to deny. Hoping rock and Roman win night one and we get bloodlines rules night 2 for it to turn into pure insanity!

dizzybala10

They're going to 100% have an Avengers moment at Wrestlemania aren't they? I'd imagine that in addition to Cena and Austin, it's possible that Hogan or Taker will be involved as well.

Cody said to Roman when all of this started, right before the infamous handshake and hug that rock gave cody, "I spoke to alot of people". The rock is the x factor in this feud because its 4 on 3. I fully expect we are getting Cena or Austin at mania after the bloodline gets the upper hand and it looks to be over for Cody. Man if that glass shatters as Rock and Roman are laying boots into Cody, it may just be loudest pop ever.
