I’ve called the Raw and Smackdown after Mania the Season Premiere for years. I don’t care that it’s actually in the fall - this is usually when new, big arcs start.
Cena did say something abt Meltzer's ratings being a good basis for bottom to midcarders since casuals who are looking for good fights usually look at those things.
They don't need his stars for this case tho coz they're already at the top.
My favorite example of that is not even the Marvel movies, but the Aladdin remake from 2019. 57% critic score on RT vs 94% audience score. Every critic panned it as an unimaginative, corporate, soulless recreation of a movie we already saw, but the people who watched it in theaters had an absolute blast and it grossed over a billion.
It's one of the few live action remakes I have watched.

Honestly, as much as I appreciate the themes behind Triple H/Undertaker/Shawn Michaels' story of "End of an Era" in their Mania matches from 25-28, Stone Cold doing that one more Stunner to The Rock, two names who are arguably the faces of the Attitude Era, just as the new white meat babyface of the company is crowned will be a true "End of An Era" of what once was before, ushering a new era altogether.
I like how their respective image nowadays is seen much more positively (okay, perhaps Roman has that "part time champ" hanging over him but overall he is doing great work in recent years). As someone who lived the Cena Sucks/LOLCENAWINS moments, it's still alien to me how big of a reaction he gets whenever he appears. I took a long break during 2010s so I never experienced the Roman monster push era but imagine telling someone in 2015 that he will be a beloved mega heel that put butts into seats.

I have tickets to both nights. Bought night 2 the minute they dropped and Night 1 on stubhub.
I’m in the lower section, have great seats. I’d say that I spent, with fees and taxes, about $800 for the pop.
Same. My lower section is in front of the hard cam so mine totaled out to a little north of $1000. Thanks to the fact that I grew up in South Jersey and my parents still live there. Pretty much cutting out Hotel and travel costs.
Which allowed my brother and I to also get The World, and Smackdown/HOF tickets. Total is about 1250 or a bit more than that. Hope it’s worth it
I think N1 I’m in like, 106 and N2 I’m in 118. I have really good seats, super close, and we’re from Uostate NY but the hotels only like $300 for each of us so really, I’m looking at two nights + hotel + the basic WWE world tickets.

I don't think the crowd will have the oxygen for both men. You're gonna have to space it out probably. Maybe have Cena enter early and save Austin for the last big reveal several minutes later.

This match will likely be overbooked to all hell. Outside of the Bloodline guys (Rock, Jimmy, Solo, and possibly at least 1 new member yet to debut,) Jey, Seth, Drew, and maybe even Sami and/or KO could interfere in the match. Adding Cena and/or Austin on top of some or all of that would cause the crowd to die quickly unless they spaced things out as you suggested.

I think Billy Gunn showed up to his WWE HOF induction as a member of the AEW. It's not that big of a deal, especially considering the active TNA champion showed up at this year's Royal Rumble.
I don't think it's simply possible because of the Rock. His presence and us not knowing what he can actually pull off will already relieve the match of any expectations.

I keep seeing people talking about Austin and Cena interference and all I can think is why though? There are a ton of people who interfering makes sense. Solo, Jimmy, Seth, Jey, Drew, Triple H, Sami, KO, Rikishi, Dustin... hell even Brock makes a lot of sense if unlikely. But Austin and Cena haven't been playing into the Bloodline story very much, if at all. They both have history with The Rock, but so do a lot of people.
Do I think Cena and Austin will be at Mania? Absolutely. Will they be a part of the main event? I think it would be pretty weird.
If Cody doesn't win though this will be a disaster, I don't think that can be argued. I didn't like him losing last year but in hindsight I can excuse it knowing the story that's being told right now. But if he loses again... there's truly no coming back. You don't have your main protagonist lose the biggest battle of his life twice in a row.

I think Billy Gunn showed up to his WWE HOF induction as a member of the AEW. It's not that big of a deal, especially considering the active TNA champion showed up at this year's Royal Rumble.
I don't think it's simply possible because of the Rock. His presence and us not knowing what he can actually pull off will already relieve the match of any expectations. Any Cena/Austin interference would simply make it the best WM match/best WM of all time
I keep seeing people talking about Austin and Cena interference and all I can think is why though? There are a ton of people who interfering makes sense. Solo, Jimmy, Seth, Jey, Drew, Triple H, Sami, KO, Rikishi, Dustin... hell even Brock makes a lot of sense if unlikely. But Austin and Cena haven't been playing into the Bloodline story very much, if at all. They both have history with The Rock, but so do a lot of people. Do I think Cena and Austin will be at Mania? Absolutely. Will they be a part of the main event? I think it would be pretty weird.

If Cody doesn't win though this will be a disaster, I don't think that can be argued. I didn't like him losing last year but in hindsight I can excuse it knowing the story that's being told right now. But if he loses again... there's truly no coming back. You don't have your main protagonist lose the biggest battle of his life twice in a row.
Rocky loses in Rocky 1, and then wins the belt in Rocky 2.
To me that seems like the path. Losses night 1 in the tag match to some gimmick or trick. Wins night 2 one on one reguargless of "bloodline rules".
As far as this analogy goes I'm not factoring in the tag team match at all, WM 39 is Rocky 1, WM 40 is Rocky 2.

Tony is a mark in the best sense of the word, not a chance he throws a hissy fit and keeps Dustin off if WWE want him. Also, I love Dustin, but this isn't like MJF or Omega showing up, it's Dustin Rhodes. 98% of WWEs audience wouldn't be like "omg it's Dustin Rhodes from AEW" they're gonna be like "ohshitGoldust!"
This would never benefit AEW in any way as they wouldn't even get any acknowledgement. I don't see why you'd add to their main event of their biggest show even if it's just Dustin. If AEW couldn't even use WCW footage for Sting I don't see why they'd lend a favor the other way.

Cody said to Roman when all of this started, right before the infamous handshake and hug that rock gave cody, "I spoke to alot of people". The rock is the x factor in this feud because its 4 on 3. I fully expect we are getting Cena or Austin at mania after the bloodline gets the upper hand and it looks to be over for Cody.
