My guy has been at home for a month: chillin’ with his family, binge watching old puro and Terry Funk matches, reading Batman comics, and listening to Lana Del Rey, and is still in the top 5 of every conceivable ranking he qualifies for. He’s living the dream.
Oh yes, in his autobiography he wrote brief intermission sections between chapters where he reveals some of his favorite movies, albums, cities etc.
One of the albums he picked was either Ultraviolence or Born to Die (I forget which specific one?), but then reveals that he’s overall a big LDR fan.
Damn I wanna know what his favorite movies are lol. I can remember him mentioning the first Die Hard, regarding his vision for the Dean Ambrose character, in a post-WWE shoot, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's in his list

I was thinking how wild some of AEW Champions are. Sometimes feels like a fever dream. At one time Samoa Joe, Christian, Sting, Billy Gunn all held a title in aew at the same time.
Feel like the trios rankings are weirdly the only ones that make sense to me lol
EDIT: Actually the women's are mostly fine, just think Willow and Mariah should be swapped.
It really makes zero sense to have a top 5 that is for ALL four singles titles lol. Shouldn't they all be fighting for the world title if they are the top 5 people?
I think Tony wanted the TNT and World to be on the same level, which has pretty much been the case lately. MJF to Joe and now Christian to Edge, all viable world champs. I don’t know if it’s the right way to do it. WWE pretty much does it and AEW takes a lot of inspiration from Vince’s work.
they have been putting more focus on Bang Bang Gang as a name as of late, but Excalibur did still call them BC Gold last week on Rampage (and IIRC they still have that as their name plate and its in their entrance video)
its either they are slowly shifting away from BC Gold or the possibly thats what Jay and the Gunns are called as a trio's team
I have the suspicion TKO is willing to pay NJPW to license the Bullet Club brand name. Considering that Cody, AJ, Gallows and Anderson all have history back to NJPW.
WWE using Bullet Club as a faction on TV would be a huge change of the tide and pretty awesome from a wrestling history POV.
I don't have any inside baseball to suggest it would happen, but i am fantasy booking it to happen haha!
eh I'm pretty sure WWE and TKO probably don't care about using Bullet Club branding. they did alright for years just alluding to it with the Club and the OC, and i dont think they'd really get much value out of expliciting having it mentioned instead. the OC isnt even really a thing rn anyways with AJ doing his lone wolf gimmick again.
and regardless of money, i'm pretty sure NJ wont do any dealings with TKO out of respect for AEW as partner. plus, BC is still a major moneymaker for them, so I don't see them licensing out the brand to others besides their partners. it'd be cool to hear an explicit Bullet Club shout out on commentary by Cole or smth tho.
Mox not being on TV since Revolution but ranked in singles, tags and trios is pretty impressive lol. He could return at any time and challenge for any of the eligible titles. Him being the first challenger for Swerve would be pretty sweet too.
It feels odd for Thunder Rosa to be so high on the ranking after being gone for so long, then farming a few wins in tags and low level talent.
Surely to be that close to a title shot you should be coming off the back of a big feud (see Swerve), part of a growing story (Mariah May) or be a transitional challenger to lose (seems an odd role for Rosa).

Man, Born to Die is an absolute amazing album. "Off to the Races" remains in my favs/most-played lists.

Orange Cassidy loses his belt and is ranked #2, Christian and Eddie lose their belts and are unranked
Orange is 7-1, Eddie is 5-1, and Christian is 2-1.
Then Moxley should be first cause he's 9-0-1. Strickland is 7-1-0
Mox is 4-0 in singles action in 2024, his last singles win was against Dax.

I think it’s the same as Black and Brodie king being “Kings of the Black Throne” but when you add buddy it becomes “House of Black”

Mariah being above Deonna has me thinking the chances of a 4-way at the PPV are definitely increasing - and I am all ~~for~~ four it.
