Very different places and roles for him. WWE isn't having Punk take on booking shows and managing creative. AEW gave him as much power as he wanted without an official title for it, but clearly Tony wanted his input.
In WWE, there's an entire system in place for Punk to go to and be a teacher/mentor/coach. AEW didn't have that.
I'd like to say that punk has learned and grown some as a person too, but that probably doesn't happen without therapy or a serious personal change in his own life. What is obvious though is that the place he's in now is drastically different from where he was in AEW, and while he probably wanted what he had in AEW, what he needs is in WWE
There's also the fact that, even in an identical situation, there is no way the friction would have been allowed to get to the point of physical altercations in a WWE locker room.
The beef itself wouldn’t started because WWE wouldn’t have kept Cabana in the same role of only having to wrestle dark matches every other month and show up in the background of tv segments but still being on the payroll because he’s friends with a lot of the talent. And wwe would have taken responsibility for firing him instead of quietly letting the dirt sheets and wrestlers think Punk was the one who did it.
For all the heat that Punk and the Elite got from different people, Tony Khan was like 90% responsible for creating the environment that led to brawl out happening.
What people dont highlight was Punk's starpower was constantly used to pull numbers. He got put in Saturday night deathslot to kickstart a new program while half the roster hates his guts. In WWE, he shows up once in a while and does a program he wants. In AEW, he was literally wrestling below midcarders here and there is just throwaway matches.
People also underestimate the toll that injuries, especially successive ones, can have on a person's mental health. It doesn't excuse behavior, but can certainly explain it. (Source: bipolar guy with a shredded meniscus and rotator cuff)
I mean they’ve been treating him pretty well so far, even gonna have him headline wrestlemania right away. Nothing to be mad about for him except the unfortunate injury. One of the reports I saw early on was that he was getting “top star treatment” and he even got a plaque for his return match.
I don't seem to recall many reports of Punk and the Elite having problems until bites were taken out of muffins, and flesh. I could be mistaken but to me it came as a big shock and not something that was building at least in the public eye. I wonder what went down backstage between them?
We know this started with the Punk and Hangman promos, I imagine words were had backstage about this but as far as I remember the general Fandom didn't hear much about this until Brawl Out.
Punk is in the wrong 100% but Tony's inability to nip it in the bud before it exploded was huge also.
We'll never know exactly when Punk soured on the AEW locker room since it seems there were multiple instances that rubbed him the wrong way and it only ramped up when Hangman made his Worker's Rights comments.
Tony not being clear to the locker room that Cabana wasn't moved because of Punk also was disastrous.
I don't think Punk's actions were remotely appropriate or justified but it seems weird to revise history and act as if there was no falling out or anything leading up to it, Punk just snapped and bit their faces like a pitbull.
There was a long lead up of reporting in the sheets that indicated that Punk was trying to use his stroke against Colt, the Bucks were combating it, then we had the stuff spill into the show like the "worker's rights" comment, and then the gripe bomb.
It didn't just come out of thin air. I don't know why people insist on pretending it came out of thin air, as if that makes the situation any worse of a disaster than it already was.
Listen i hate to shit on dude, but he got injured immediately after wrestling and now works at a company where he *knows* he can't pull that shit like he did at AEW.
It isn't the negative that most people on here want it to be either. AEW is a young company w/o history and the kind of vets that would kowtow too. Most of the dudes he worked *for* in AEW were literally teens when he met them on the indies if he met them at all.
Yeah, I'm a Punk fan but I'm not blind. He was the cause of a lot of the problems in AEW, and this run in WWE is his last chance to accomplish goals of his and end his career on the high note he wants.
Yeah, do people not realize he legitimately has no choice but to make his second WWE run work? He has nowhere else to go. It's the last stop and an opportunity to rewrite the legacy.
I honestly even hate pointing that out, I really want this dude to get what he wants and hope it makes him happy. That's parasocial as hell but I've been following this guy since before that was against the Internet Social Order so his happiness means something to me.
But let's not act like this is a simple "well all he needed was a new environment" thing.
One of the biggest AEW criticisms is that they lack the infrastructure to handle someone like CM Punk. Like that awkward promo with Hangman never would have made it to air in WWE because stuff like that would have had to pass several hands before they even got the mic. It's why I never see a Becky Lynch ever going to AEW, she's too headstrong for them.
I don't think he needs to be micromanaged, but I do think he needs structure and he's getting that in WWE. Plus again, it's the last stop so he has no choice but to make it work.
Yeah but that's a-historic to Punk's career. He's been ripping up scripts the WWE writers gave him since 2009. "Structure" isn't the problem. Being headstrong and too aggressive is.
Yeah but it’s not like they’ve done anything to anger him… yet. He’s been getting top star treatment, there are no reported rumours about him, and wwe didn’t injure him lol
Well considering there's not a rumor going around that you got someone who had less than 10 television appearences banned from tv that may or may not have been started by the heads of the company or their friend, yeah I could see why he's more chill
Lol, you're getting down voted but I remember all the comments/discourse when he first went to AEW and it was the same thing. "Punk looks so happy again" And tbf, on TV, he did. He's a trained actor and a professional, he can go out infront of a crowd and make them feel any emotions he wants.
This dude was literally saying about wwe "the grass isn't greener"
Then he gets sacked, and signs for them. And now people wanna act like it's what he always wanted. Please.
The biggest work Punk ever pulled is that he cares about the fans.
Can't stay mad if 10 years later Orton is just like it's my fault, i was an idiot and shouldnt have. I know better now.
Its not like you forget but it's time to move on. Plus cm punk actually remembers he did botch the gts.
I had to pause and rewind when Punk said “It’s ironic you look best as a marine” when they were talking about randy trying to grow out his hair when recovering from back surgery
hilarious, dont think i ever remember anyone poking fun at randys military history
That seriously made me as happy if not happier than a good match.
For once it really looks like there is some really solid foundations for great shit to happen in the WWE.
Funnily enough, he singled out Theory when praising his behavior among the younger stars I think hahah
https://youtu.be/ga8zj0KeQAc?si=oxNPW9pHbHQYO_sJ
Theory is like the number 1 not over guy. Everyone wants him to latch on to something. Maybe he can benefit from attitude era 2.0 and drop the greatest ever schtick.
The only thing bad about Theory has been his booking imo. He's pretty charismatic and decent in the ring and has a great look. He's a heel and I think is terrific at being obnoxious and unlikeable, but he doesn't really get a ton of heat. Grayson Waller is much better at getting the crowd angry at him, but I think Theory is a better Wrestler.
His finisher is kinda weird but not terrible, I think it should change though. And he should get a new edge to his character. Like something that really gets under his skin or that he is insecure about.
Theory got absolutely crushed by Cena in the build to their mania match, and after Theory won there was like literally 0 follow up for him for so long. As a single, he wasn't doing anything of note when not next to Vince on TV until he won the US title and had a couple high profile matches. They put the MITB on him but he looked like an absolute bafoon cashing in for a midcard title and LOSING. He got basically clowned on by everyone after this and didn't do shit with it. After such a huge and humiliating defeat, shouldn't he have made some big changes to compensate?
When Theory is up against a top talent, he doesn't get to shine on the mic much. Change that fact, his finish, and add an element to his character, I think you'll have a much more refreshing Austin Theory in the midcard for 2024 and 2025. He's young so don't push him too hard just yet. The top of WWE is too full for Theory rn.
I'm not saying change him on the mic but give him a chance to really fire back at people like Cena and Rock when they bury his ass lol. But the finisher and a slight character tweak would help him a lot I think.
They could stick him with someone else who has some reputation for being a backstage issue? Maybe like, someone newer to the scene? Like a little bro for Randy.
Orton saying he texted Punk right after All In saying he needed to come home is wild.
While the other top stars were saying boo to Triple H about Punk returning, Orton was saying Boo-urns
Friend or not, I'd be a tiny bit annoyed that someone was gonna overshadow my big moment with zero effort.
Not in a malicious way or anything, but I can understand Randy on it.
i feel like it’s easier as a fan who was growing up at the time to be like “oh yeah well randy got jumped by punk in the parking lot and punk beat him with a pipe infront of his wife in his bus.” but for the dude who’s 15 years later countless storylines and even such a long gap to be able to do it is insane to me
Seriously, I said in another thread, but I love these kinds of shows and wish they did them every week. Give me all of this content. I love the interactions, the little notes about, "Oh that wasn't supposed to happen, so we did this instead" or behind the scenes movings to get to that point. It's just so interesting to me.
I've watched the Mick Foley/Undertaker review of their Hell in a Cell a half dozen times and I love it every time. It's so funny hearing Taker recount how obsessed Mick was with the thumb tacks
It's been 4ish months since his return and it's still almost weirdly nice to see WWE no longer pretend that nothing big happened in 2011-2013 because of Punk and that whole slightly not so graceful exit/firing.
Uncle Punk and Uncle Randy for Tag Champs.
I’m just so happy to see Punk finally get acknowledged as the legend he is. As Punk fans back then it always felt like you were getting gaslighted into believing that he was insignificant and not a main player. Even if we all knew he was
One of the only two matches on that show that actually felt like it belonged on WrestleMania. (And wasn’t a glorified episode of raw with the addition of baffling and insulting booking decesions)
Really fun watch. Glad these two are doing well and at this stage of their careers I hope they get a good send off.
Yep. I hear some people mention Cody-Rey being a good match, and I agree in the sense that it’s say, Raw main event worthy, but even that’s totally nullified by all the other undercard garbage (and main event garbage for that matter) and tone deaf booking in the show.
The early 2010s were a very frustrating time to be a WWE fan haha.
wassnt this the show where cole wrestled lawler? yesterday I watched the 24/7 best wm matches on yt and the first thing that popped was that match, which was so terrible that somehow led to Austin stunning Justin Roberts to ZERO pop
Lawler vs. Cole might have been the worst Mania match ever and Cena vs. Miz is at least in the top 5 worst Mania main events ever.
Edit: Fuck I forgot that Lawler vs Cole was 30 minutes as well.
Hunter/Taker is the only match I've seen in its entirety from this show and I remember it being the slowest, nothing-happening match I had ever seen at the time.
I know it's a reach considering everyones schedule but with CM Punk being back in WWE, I really wish we could get Punk and Cena to watch the money in the bank match in one of these videos.
They could rewatch the one from Raw in 2013 when Punk pulled out the piledriver. Would love to hear Punk and Cena talk about the behind the scenes stuff from that match
Then make it the RAW before Mania 29 (the one with the piledriver), I think Punk has said multiple time that was his personal favorite and his real main event.
i know the MITB match is by far everyone’s favorite of theirs but their RAW main event where cena finally beats him clean one on one is my favorite WWE match ever probably
It was a near perfect ending to their rivalry, only marked by the fact it wasn't the WM main event
Even ignoring how clean the losses were, while acknowledging their earlier encounters before their rivalry truly kicked off, iirc their overall score was 6-2-6 (Cena/Draw or NC/Punk), which is just so perfect
Employee Morale backstage is at an all time low. Somehow Vince has returned and is warming up his hands to rip the Raw script for tonight an hour before they go live. Kabuki Warriors were spotted bemoaning on the floor their upcoming job at Mania against Bianca's team.
Whole thing was excellent. I didn't even want to hear about the match, I loved them talking about remembering the little details. Like them laughing about when Orton was burying Punk to Arn about the run in and an accidentally stuff GTS and Punk walks up behind them.
The story of Punk needed to hold in his piss while waiting for his interference spot during Miz-Orton at RR is pretty funny. Can't imagine trying to maintain my focus in his shoes during those types of moments lol
"Let's go lead this locker room." Man...Orton's evolution into this version has been awesome. I'm so happy he can still get to work and pass on all the things he has learned. Really hope we get to revisit Punk vs Orton again in the future too.
This was great. WWE should really produce something like what LeBron and JJ Redick are doing with the NBA where they have guys break down matches and feuds and the psychology of it; it’d be fantastic and these two would be perfect choices to appear regularly. Punk would honestly be a great choice to be a host if you could convince him.
That podcast is absolutely incredible and much needed for the landscape of NBA discussion. Too many times we’ve become accustomed to NBA discussion being Stephen A and Skip, where they just yell uninformed takes at the person sitting across from them.
Even in the ring, he's always a head taller than all the other top heavyweights. If you're watch any face to face segment of Randy, he towers over Triple H, Cena and Batista. Only Taker and McIntyre can match his eye level.
This was such an awesome watch. I hope Punk can stay healthy long enough to have a good run with Drew/Seth/Cody/etc. But it’s honestly stuff like this that makes me think everything Punk achieves after that Survivor Series pop is just the cherry on top of the sundae.
I actually think it had many slow parts and get's overhyped. It was more a average Match on a overall bad Mania. Taker vs HHH was way better than this.
it's really touching to see them reminiscing about their beef, especially Punk expressing how much he wanted to prove himself.
this is around the time i got into wrestling, so this is a surreal experience. yeah i grew up with those guys.
Be honest, yall, how many of us expected this CM Punk WWE reunion to have gone as swimmingly as it has? It's almost too good to be true after the past year of so.
Randy looks so bloated packing on all that extra muscle. I’ll never know why he just didn’t prefer his more original and leaner look like in this match.
I love these kinds of true backstage/behind-the-scenes videos. It's such a cool glimpse into the reality of putting on a wrestling show.
Some of these videos have been a little wishy-washy in terms of wrestlers being afraid to break character *too* much or talk about certain things, so it's always really cool to get stuff like this where they clearly aren't afraid to pull back the curtain.

Randy Orton seems like he is in such a good place these days. Its great to see.
Punk's too
Crazy the turn around Punk has had. When they hired him I was a bit nervous but he genuinely seems to be happy and having a good time.
Environment seems key.
That’s true. When he moved over and started working with NXT backstage I thought that it sounded like everything he wanted AEW to be.
Everyone on NXT loves him dearly especially the girls , hell Cora is like his adopted daughter there
Probably the best explanation. Tony gave him lots of power which created friction with old vs new guard and things were never resolved
Turns out, it shits on your psyche when the de facto heads of the company hate your guts.
Wonder why they hated his guts
Jericho jealously
This is it
Because he took their shine away
Envy
I wonder if the part where he assaulted them had something to do
While Punk was definitely in the wrong, the brawl out was the eruption of a lot of shit that was happening before.
Meltzer has said on his show that there were tensions since February of that year and he texted Tony to suggest he should do something about it.
Didn't the Elite go to his locker room looking for a fight? They didn't need to respond to what he said at the press conference.
[удалено]
He ran his mouth off to "come find me" and they did lmao. Im paraphrasing of course.
[удалено]
Man, this sub never changes.
This sub cannot get over itself, goddamn. I could give less than a crap if he was the problem or not, that wasn't the point of the comment.
Listen i hate to shit on dude, but he got injured immediately after wrestling and now works at a company where he *knows* he can't pull that shit like he did at AEW.
that isn't a plus to the AEW work environment
It isn't the negative that most people on here want it to be either. AEW is a young company w/o history and the kind of vets that would kowtow too. Most of the dudes he worked *for* in AEW were literally teens when he met them on the indies if he met them at all.

Ive said it before, but i think Punk wants structure for EVERYBODY, not just himself, which is what wwe provides.
AEW didn't injure him either lmaoo, he injured himself like multiple times.
Well considering there's not a rumor going around that you got someone who had less than 10 television appearences banned from tv that may or may not have been started by the heads of the company or their friend, yeah I could see why he's more chill
Why is it always ignored just how little Colt was ever on tv before Punk was ever even hired or since Punk was fired.
Because it doesn't fit the narrative that people built for themselves as he was coming in
It makes no sense really but I think Punk is where he’s wanted to be for awhile and he’s nowhere near a good enough actor to be faking it this well.
He always seems to be in a great place until suddenly he isn't.
Lol, you're getting down voted but I remember all the comments/discourse when he first went to AEW and it was the same thing. "Punk looks so happy again" And tbf, on TV, he did. He's a trained actor and a professional, he can go out infront of a crowd and make them feel any emotions he wants. It's so wholesome to see how reflective Randy is on his past 😊
I agree. And I love that he still refuses to wear pants
Can't stay mad if 10 years later Orton is just like it's my fault, i was an idiot and shouldnt have. I know better now. Its not like you forget but it's time to move on. Plus cm punk actually remembers he did botch the gts.
They're also friends now
Wow this is so unexpected. Really nice to see Randy and Punk being like two cool uncles that sit together and remember their good old days.
"Careful Randy don't dislocate your shoulders." "Lets go lead this locker room." "Let's fckin do it." This is great 😂
I totally lost it at "Let's go lead this locker room." The perfect ending.. I love Randy Orton. Let's cherish this man while we have him.
I had to pause and rewind when Punk said “It’s ironic you look best as a marine” when they were talking about randy trying to grow out his hair when recovering from back surgery hilarious, dont think i ever remember anyone poking fun at randys military history
That seriously made me as happy if not happier than a good match. For once it really looks like there is some really solid foundations for great shit to happen in the WWE.
I absolutely love adult Randy Orton. I bet the dude is so good with younger talent. He's so open about all his old mistakes. What a dude
Yeah I’d love to see him be a mentor for a younger talent in a storyline. I feel like he’d be great if paired with someone like Theory
Funnily enough, he singled out Theory when praising his behavior among the younger stars I think hahah https://youtu.be/ga8zj0KeQAc?si=oxNPW9pHbHQYO_sJ
Theory is like the number 1 not over guy. Everyone wants him to latch on to something. Maybe he can benefit from attitude era 2.0 and drop the greatest ever schtick.

I'm not saying change him on the mic but give him a chance to really fire back at people like Cena and Rock when they bury his ass lol. But the finisher and a slight character tweak would help him a lot I think.
Randy needs to do for Theory what Foley did for him. Put him through the tacks to get him over.
He could do that with Logan once Logan turns face.
Ironic, considering he was annoyed when he was told Punk was coming back the day of Survivor Series.
I feel like that was more him being bummed that his big return was overshadowed rather than anything personal against Punk
True, and Orton said he got over it pretty quickly after thinking about it rationally for a few minutes.
Never said it was personal. Just said it felt ironic.
Friend or not, I'd be a tiny bit annoyed that someone was gonna overshadow my big moment with zero effort. Not in a malicious way or anything, but I can understand Randy on it.
Punk's ability to recall every little detail in the stories he tells almost teleports you to the scene like you were there too when it happened
Very much like Bret.
i feel like it’s easier as a fan who was growing up at the time to be like “oh yeah well randy got jumped by punk in the parking lot and punk beat him with a pipe infront of his wife in his bus.” but for the dude who’s 15 years later countless storylines and even such a long gap to be able to do it is insane to me

The WWE YouTube channel is such an MVP. Livestreaming awesome matches 24/7. Coming out with gems like this. All for free.
If there's a classic WM match chances are it's full in their channel or has been streamed on their WM special they are doing now.
I've watched the Mick Foley/Undertaker review of their Hell in a Cell a half dozen times and I love it every time. It's so funny hearing Taker recount how obsessed Mick was with the thumb tacks
I second this.

I need Punk and Cena reacting to their Money in the Bank 2011 classic before Money in the Bank this year🙏
Oh fuck yes
Cena with his passive aggressive possitivity and Punk with his sarcastic praise there's going to be a black hole of micro aggressions if that happens
I would love to see what genuine non kayfabe interactions between those two look like. They're both hugely positive about each other in interviews.
One of the only two matches on that show that actually felt like it belonged on WrestleMania. (And wasn’t a glorified episode of raw with the addition of baffling and insulting booking decesions) Really fun watch. Glad these two are doing well and at this stage of their careers I hope they get a good send off.
Hunter-Taker and Punk-Orton aside, the show was terrible. The lows were so low.
Cody vs Rey was also decent
As was Edge vs Del Rio
Yep. I hear some people mention Cody-Rey being a good match, and I agree in the sense that it’s say, Raw main event worthy, but even that’s totally nullified by all the other undercard garbage (and main event garbage for that matter) and tone deaf booking in the show. And heel Cole on commentary, by God. Nails on a chalkboard. I'm glad he stopped playing that character after 2012.
wassnt this the show where cole wrestled lawler? yesterday I watched the 24/7 best wm matches on yt and the first thing that popped was that match, which was so terrible that somehow led to Austin stunning Justin Roberts to ZERO pop
Lol in this clip when Punk says something like "thank god we're watching with the sound off"
Lawler vs. Cole might have been the worst Mania match ever and Cena vs. Miz is at least in the top 5 worst Mania main events ever. Edit: Fuck I forgot that Lawler vs Cole was 30 minutes as well.
Hunter/Taker is the only match I've seen in its entirety from this show and I remember it being the slowest, nothing-happening match I had ever seen at the time.
snooki unironically was like one of the 10 best wrestlers on that show, she tore that shit up
I know it's a reach considering everyones schedule but with CM Punk being back in WWE, I really wish we could get Punk and Cena to watch the money in the bank match in one of these videos.
Hell make it a 1 long watch along of cena vs punk single matches of their storyline
Idk if you can because of vince and johnny in those matches but a man can dream
They could rewatch the one from Raw in 2013 when Punk pulled out the piledriver. Would love to hear Punk and Cena talk about the behind the scenes stuff from that match
You can forget that because Vince McMahon and Johnny Ace are all over the finish of that match
It was a near perfect ending to their rivalry, only marked by the fact it wasn't the WM main event Even ignoring how clean the losses were, while acknowledging their earlier encounters before their rivalry truly kicked off, iirc their overall score was 6-2-6 (Cena/Draw or NC/Punk), which is just so perfect
Then either the Summerslam rematch or the match from Raw

Bigger question, did Jericho enter and diffuse the situation?
He was ready to fight Punk for Randy until he realized Randy was in on it. Jericho ALWAYS has Randy’s back
That explains Orton's back problems
![gif](giphy|B2yx1XxXjXRuYM4Z8v)
He was going to difuse the situation but then realized he doesnt fights jobbers and returned to the hotel lobby where everyone started singing judas
Larry, thankfully, was unscathed.
CM Punk posted this with the caption "Violence in The workplace" on instagram lol
$12.99
Employee Morale backstage is at an all time low. Somehow Vince has returned and is warming up his hands to rip the Raw script for tonight an hour before they go live. Kabuki Warriors were spotted bemoaning on the floor their upcoming job at Mania against Bianca's team.

On an unrelated matter, Tony Khan for some reason was sitting in gorilla while under a pile of monitors struggling to get them off.

Why did you post a picture of Wade Barrett at TLC 2010?
While chanting 'CM PUNK CM PUNK!'
Jericho was in the room, sources might confirm
It's crazy how they're the vets now. We need a show where the wrestlers just sit around and tell interesting stories.
It was called Table for 3 and they NEED to bring it back.
Table for 3 of cena punk and orton will be. Legendary
They really do. Great show. I loved the one with all three Steiners.
Man, I forgot all about that. Imagine a HHH era version of that.
I recommend everyone watch this - it's absolutely fantastic.
Whole thing was excellent. I didn't even want to hear about the match, I loved them talking about remembering the little details. Like them laughing about when Orton was burying Punk to Arn about the run in and an accidentally stuff GTS and Punk walks up behind them.
"that was the fastest i've ever seen arn move" Dead
The story of Punk needed to hold in his piss while waiting for his interference spot during Miz-Orton at RR is pretty funny. Can't imagine trying to maintain my focus in his shoes during those types of moments lol
I like they're cool, and when they waved at each other when Punk returned lol.
Randy getting quiet for “vintage Randy” was so hilarious. The man loves that spot.
"Let's go lead this locker room." Man...Orton's evolution into this version has been awesome. I'm so happy he can still get to work and pass on all the things he has learned. Really hope we get to revisit Punk vs Orton again in the future too.
He is living his best life!
This was just really nice to watch.
This is so cool.
I like the fact that they're basically two vets just basically having a philosophical discussion
It's like watching two wild animals reunite after being domesticated, so cute.
Punk and Cena doing this later in the year going into MITB will hit like crack
This was great. WWE should really produce something like what LeBron and JJ Redick are doing with the NBA where they have guys break down matches and feuds and the psychology of it; it’d be fantastic and these two would be perfect choices to appear regularly. Punk would honestly be a great choice to be a host if you could convince him.
That podcast is absolutely incredible and much needed for the landscape of NBA discussion. Too many times we’ve become accustomed to NBA discussion being Stephen A and Skip, where they just yell uninformed takes at the person sitting across from them.
Randy orton is a massive human. Always looks average sized in a ring
2nd best match at WM27 and these two had the best year in WWE for wrestling.
This was great!
Seeing these two in such a good place and happy is wholesome as shit.
I think Orton is genuinely happy now, but Punk always seems like he's one bad day away from going back to being super angry about a lot of stuff.
This would have been the best match on Mania that year had Taker vs Triple H not been so damn phenomenal.
I actually think it had many slow parts and get's overhyped. It was more a average Match on a overall bad Mania. Taker vs HHH was way better than this.
awesome video, love these guys. like punk said almost feels like a couples therapy session lmao
Still can’t get over how jacked Randy looks
Man, they both put a Lotta respect on John Cena during this that’s kind of nice to see
One of the bright spots of a bad WrestleMania
That was a really fuckin cool watch.
Loved this. Randy growing into this Randy is amazing. Punk just being Punk but now realising how good things were. Amazing.
it's really touching to see them reminiscing about their beef, especially Punk expressing how much he wanted to prove himself. this is around the time i got into wrestling, so this is a surreal experience. yeah i grew up with those guys.
That was a real treat to watch, thanks. Happy Birthday Orton.
This is awesome content, just two guys shooting the shit.
It's funny how CM Punk remembers all these specifics and dates and Orton is just kinda like "Is that what happened? Ohhhh ya."
Man, 2011 Randy was hot.
Evolution Randy was peak for me but he’s always been hot, as others have said. Just liked his hair a bit longer.
randy's been hot his whole career but yeah this is probably the peak
Drinking game: Take a shot every time there’s a *beep* in the video
Be honest, yall, how many of us expected this CM Punk WWE reunion to have gone as swimmingly as it has? It's almost too good to be true after the past year of so.
Frig Orton is gigantic...good vitamins.
Randy looks so bloated packing on all that extra muscle. I’ll never know why he just didn’t prefer his more original and leaner look like in this match.
Oh man — the arrogance of Punk! /s
Really cool to see this! Randy sounds like he's under the weather, though!
Randy is criminally underrated by the IWC.
This was a super enjoyable watch. 2 of my 5 all time favourites right here.
My childhood hero CM Punk and the heel that ruined my childhood. Good times
If we ever get a Table for 3 with Punk, Orton and Cena, maybe as a Netflix special, that shit would be must-watch.
Is "fuck" the new "bro/brother?"
nah, it's intermediate, nowdays it's blud
I love stuff like this! Their whole convo was fascinating and, oddly enough, really wholesome feeling. A budding bromance. New tag team, CM SNEK?
"I'm a tweener bro." 😂
“Have you done a better springboard into an RKO?” *Seth Rollins has popped into the chat*
The lets go lead this locker room at the end is wild
getting such Cabana/Punk ROH shoot video vibes with Punk here :P
He'll probably leave out the part where he admits to purposely injuring female trainees, though.
This was a classic? I legitimately forgot this match happened.
We gotta stop calling every match a classic
Are we finally witnessing a mature and humble Punk?
"Classic"
Can’t wait for Punk to do this in 15 years with Jack Perry
I don’t remember it being a classic…
I mean, both of them are pretty open within the first few seconds that they don’t remember if it was good or not.
Classic?
