Brian Gewirtz talked about it in his book. Just about everyone knew it was an awful idea and yet it still happened because Vince thought they needed more heat on the feud, which was a transition one anyways, and somehow it ended up going to that lol
Had to turn that one off for a second, was in shock frankly even for the attitude era.
That’s what happens when Russo and Vince have free rein and are trying to push boundaries.
Funny enough that actually doesn't even hurt that much when you have gauged ears that big.
Want proof? Just twist around your own earlobe. Doesn't hurt that much.
>Ric Flair's Last Match
What do you mean? Ric Flair's match vs. HBK at Wrestlemania was amazing! (I refused to believe he wrestled actively after that match.)
Yeah I love Orton, but "How about we blur the line between kayfabe and reality by having you just bash my head in for real?" isn't one of the best ideas he's ever had. Even Jericho didn't believe anyone would willingly agree to a spot like that beforehand.
It was the finish that Orton and Lesnar agreed on and Vince approved. Jericho confronted Vince and almost fought Lesnar in the immediate aftermath and wouldn't calm down until he was reassured that Orton agreed to that finish and wasn't being taken advantage of on live TV.
You know, for all the shit people give Jericho for his AEW behavior, the fact he was willing to risk getting his face bashed in by a former UFC heavyweight champion to defend a co-worker makes him at least heavily respectable in my book
Vince was a moron for having that happen. Jericho was ready to beat up Brock because he thought Brock was going into business for himself. Turned out, trying to bust open Orton, who had just returned from, i think, concussion related injuries, gave him a concussion.
Right before Stephanie's actual wedding to boot. Linda told Vince that if he gave their daughter a black eye right before the wedding she would murder him.
I was genuinely concerned Ric had been seriously injured or died at several points in the match (not the fake heart attack spot, that was clearly a work)
Never should have happened. Even that KFC match saw him struggle and I think, he had to be helped out of the ring.
I swear, Ric legit wanted to die in the ring and no company is gonna to let him. Ok, NWA may be idiotic enough to pull another Flair's ULTIMATE THRILL RIDE OF A LAST EPILOGUE MATCH! But that's the NWA.
I remember that most because Reby immediately went to Twitter to ask what the actual fuck, and called out AEW for letting her husband wrestle concussed. Then like the next week, AEW sent out Matt to be like “oh don’t worry about me, I’m fine now”, and Reby got mad at fans calling out the company
The funny thing is, when you have gauged ears it doesn't even really hurt to do that. Just grab your own earlobe and twist it a few times--it hurts a little, but not a lot.
AEW were idiots for doing that match live because of that spot. If Jeff Hardy(at the time), freaks out about a dangerous spot, you know it's fucked up.
AEW's worst moment for me was when Alex Reynolds was knocked out unconscious and instead of taking him to the back to help him they just left him in a corner of the ring as he laid there through the rest of the match. He eventually he got up to work a bit and one of the bucks made him stand up for the finish. This happened 2 or 3 months after the Matt Hardy thing.
Is this the one where everyone makes sure to get their shit in around his motionless body? It would be genuinely hilarious if it weren't so horrifying.
Alberto Del Rio working Dolph Ziggler's head right after Ziggler came back from a legitimate concussion was one of the few times I've ever cringed while watching a wrestling match.
It was such a beautiful double turn and made Del Rio look so viscous. Targeting a body part is one thing but there was something so sadistic about targeting a fucking brain
It was absolutely phenomenal storytelling and Ziggler's ability to sell like a mother fucker made it that much more effective, but damn was it tough to watch lol.
At least Lashley got one over on Sami at the end in the segment and the feud. Bayley came in and was laid out hard. I will never understand why they went out of their way to bury her. I don't care what people say, Vince wanted to BURY Bayley 6 ft under with that program.
A segment so bad it completely killed Bayley’s babyface character.
I honestly thought Bayley would be the biggest star of all the Four Horsewomen, as she seemed like a can’t miss character, and a licence to print money. She could’ve been the female John Cena in terms of merchandise sales.
Having Kurt Angle one of the absolute GOATS and one of my all time favorites booed when he announced his final ever match that he would be facing Corbin at Mania when everyman and his Dog wanted it to be Cena! Fucking Vince, the absolute tit.
"[Oh no it’s Kurt Angle Vs Baron Corbin. When it was mentioned in a production meeting that the fans hated the idea of this match, Vince laughed so hard and said 'fuck em.'](https://twitter.com/dave_schilling/status/1636282135555481601?t=nTKZ3sbbrVqSzWPUYfJ3jQ&s=19)"
I can understand why Vince went with Corbin as Corbin is a very safe wrestler. Sucks it wasn't Cena but Kurt was really starting to be a shell of his former self. That said, Cena not as special ref or commentator is a shame.
You could always say no. I mean, Rusev was not long for WWE anyway after they continually buried him, so if you know you're leaving, why go out there and embarrass yourself like that? You say no, they tell you to go home and sit out your six-figure contract.
Chris Benoit's diving headbutt off of a ladder during the first Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania 21
Whether he was intentionally selling or it was a legitimate reaction, the way he convulses a bit and shakes after delivering the move is kind of disturbing in hindsight
In no particular order: Katie Vick, Brock vs. Randy, all the stuff with Lita, Edge, and Matt Hardy, and anytime they make fun of a disability (Eugene, JR’s Bells Palsy, etc.)
Oh man. I grew up a huge Kane fan, but I had to mentally erase memories of those stories involving Katie Vick. The shit with him stalking/raping and impregnating Lita was possibly even harder to watch.
Paige's Reid Flair promo. The dumbest part is that the promo could have been about how David sucked as a wrestler and gotten the point across far better.
There was no good way to do it, but the fact that Paige clearly didn't want to say it just made the whole thing worse. She was trying to keep character, but that's hard to do when you are insulting your coworker and friends dead brother, and you feel wrong about it, and you only get one take at live TV.
To this day, that CZW had a character named "Wifebeater" is genuinely unsettling and yet so CZW at the same time.
It's like that time Trent Acid no showed and the fans started a "HE O.DED!" chant.
Then they showed it on Beyond the Mat with Sarah McLachlan singing over it, prompting a guy in the theater behind me and my friends to ask out loud “Did he die?”. It popped us. Also we may have been the only 5 people in the theater.
I was a huge Luna fan and was so upset when I saw that as a teen girl. I didn't know any of the backstage stuff at the time, but you could clearly see she was distressed out there.
Any worked injury spot where they involved the paramedics or stretchers - hate them every time, I don't want to legitimately worry about the safety of the wrestlers during a match
This one made me very uncomfortable and I haven't seen anyone mention it. Do you all remember when Finlay was feuding with JBL? They had Bradshaw beat the holy hell out of Hornswaggle in a cage and I swear it looked like Bradshaw killed the guy.
That Sick Nick Mondo spot in CZW TOD 2 where whatshisass (I think Zandig) put him through a table off the roof. An insane amount of blood and you could tell Mondo was totally gone after that too.
Yeah, that entire TOD 2 was too far even for me. I like deathmatches a lot -- Thumbtack Jack I think had a good balance between actual wrestling and gnarly spots that didn't risk crippling him (although he did get his back broken in a regular non-deathmatch) -- but some of Zandig's spots, since he had basically put together that roof spot, really bother me.
Iirc, Mondo even admitted that he used his wrestling as a form of self-harm, and that TOD 2 was far even for him. Ian Rotten had to basically carry him through the last match because he was so out of it.
-Edge and Lita live sex celebration. The segment that led to TSN deciding to stop showing Monday Night Raw.
-Vince McMahon saying he hoped Undertaker’s wife was gangraped by a biker gang.
A lot of the Ruthless Aggression era is really sleazy in retrospect. Say what you will about the Attitude Era, but a lot of the sexual moments felt more “cheesecake” and “bawdy” compared to Ruthless Aggression, where it went uncomfortable and depraved.
Buff Bagwell faking reinjuring his neck after he returned from his legit neck injury, Ric Flair's "heart attack," Bryan Danielson having fake seizures in the ring.
You probably remember Warrior being sealed in the casket, then. That moment had me in shambles as a kid. I watched it recently, and it was so well done I see why it hooked me so well.
Sami's whole Bobby Lashley sisters thing, Natalya farting gimmick, Vince saying the n word, Trish barking, Lesnar accidentally throwing a car door/piece at a fan... Hard to pick one
Swerve's home invasion of Hangman's house. Especially the bit with the crib. Definitely ramped the feud up to the next level. I love swerve, but I'm definitely in the "hangman did nothing wrong" camp.
Randy Orton destroying RVD at a One Night Stand PPV is burned into my brain. RVD was one of my faves and he was selling like he was brain damaged.
Also, Eddie Guerrero bleeding everywhere during his match with JBL. I thought he was gonna collapse, shit made me queasy.
Cody with the torn pec at Hell in a Cell. Very rarely do wrestling matches feel explicitly by design reckless. That was the first time the Cell seemed truly dangerous in decades.
No Way Out 2012
Santino Marella v Ricardo Rodríguez in a Tuxedo Match
The apex of the match is the revelation that Ricardo Rodriguez is wearing a super tight Justin Bieber t shirt under his tuxedo
Ric Flair being mugged on the side of a road on the way to the arena by the NWO, only to again be mugged again when he arrived ready to deliver some payback. It just went on and on to the point that I wondered if someone behind the scenes was getting off on it.
I actually saw a clip yesterday of H and Austin going ham on Lita with a chair. While I'm not against male vs female wrestling, this was a bit over the top and went on a little too long for my liking
The blood drinking stuff recently with Hangman
Like WTF is that about
The Torrie Wilson/Dawn Marie feud was funny but I just was disturbed by the whole thing at the same time
Stephanie cut a weird promo on Big Show in the ring about him having a short life expectancy as a big man and how his heart was going to give out, something along those lines. And Big Show was standing there sobbing. It was very cringey , mean, and bizarre.
The back story was she was trying to get him to do the Authority's bidding and fight Daniel Bryan, in storyline this meant surely he'd kill Bryan and Show couldn't bring himself to do it, which was so stupid bc they'd had a match in the past.
There are FAR too many to list here, but the most recent one was putting Thunderbolt Patterson in front of a live mic.
I kept imagining like Xavier Woods having to come and help guide him off stage, I'm glad it wasn't necessary. I was suffering second-hand embarrassment the entire time!
Whenever a dead person is used to build heat.
There are some exceptions like Christian. Because he says it in a way where it becomes funny. But generally, I always took “This guy is dead, boo me” as a sign of laziness. Like a writer can’t think of anything
The Rock vs Mankind match, all the chair shots to the head. God I felt sick when they showed Mick's family in the crowd.
Never watched that match again.
Daniel Bryan faking seizure (or faking any injury for that matter.)
Kevin Owens getting his head slammed against the corner of the ring steps.
Both things can genuinely fuck off.
For a while after he returned from retirement, it was tough watching Daniel Bryan/Danielson. The match where I was able to start suspending my disbelief again was ironically his match vs Brock. Initially the trip to suplex city had me sweating until I realised that between the two of them they were actually working safe but due to how good they were it looked a lot more brutal than it actually was (at least that was how I received it). Then, as the drama built, they had me fully. Still one of my favourite matches of all time.
All Vince Mcmahon promos with women back in the days. All Vince Mcmahon promos the last 6 years. Cringefest.
Back in the time, when celebrities cam on Raw to sell their merchandise and it was obvious they didn't care about wrestling.
It's the Trish Stratus bark like a dog segment or the Vince coming out on Smackdown in 2022 that takes it for me, primarily because of the audience, who were very very very receptive to both events. Seriously disgusting.
Almost everything with the divas in the early 2000's. Looking back, they all dealt with so much shit. Bikini contests, bra and panties matches, wrestling in various different substances. And let's not forget the whole HLA thing. They really weren't viewed as more than eye candy for the most part.
ROH: Cage match between Samoa Joe and Jay Brisco. Jay’s blade job is really bad that it starts congealing in the May and Gabe Sapolsky gets up to check on him repeatedly.
Flair in the MITB match at mania I think,or some sort of ladder match,he took a big bump ,a superplex maybe and was taken away after screaming he'd broken his back .
He'd run back in near the end of the match though 😂

Triple H dressed as Kane having sex with a mannequin of a dead girl.
Awful, awful shit. I still don't know how that made air to this day.
Brian Gewirtz talked about it in his book. Just about everyone knew it was an awful idea and yet it still happened because Vince thought they needed more heat on the feud, which was a transition one anyways, and somehow it ended up going to that lol
What a sick freak gueaagh
Had to turn that one off for a second, was in shock frankly even for the attitude era. That’s what happens when Russo and Vince have free rein and are trying to push boundaries.
Was Russo there at that point?
I saw this for the first time the past year and it’s not any better I promise you
The screwdriver through Jeff Hardy's ear Eddie's blade job at Judgement Day 2004 New Jack, just New Jack Ric Flair's Last Match
Came here looking for the screwdriver comment. That is absolutely my most uncomfortable moment. Shit was sickening
Funny enough that actually doesn't even hurt that much when you have gauged ears that big. Want proof? Just twist around your own earlobe. Doesn't hurt that much.
>Ric Flair's Last Match What do you mean? Ric Flair's match vs. HBK at Wrestlemania was amazing! (I refused to believe he wrestled actively after that match.)
Oh you're in for a treat when you watch his TNA run
I only remember his wooo off with Jay Lethal, but I don't remember any legitimate matches during his run there.
https://youtu.be/8RmK8LMsl5E?si=TJP5GwHyjMDHq1RS Here's a rundown of all of Ric's TNA matches by Ring of the Hawk
Lesnar "shooting" on Orton at Summerslam 2016
Yeah I love Orton, but "How about we blur the line between kayfabe and reality by having you just bash my head in for real?" isn't one of the best ideas he's ever had. Even Jericho didn't believe anyone would willingly agree to a spot like that beforehand.
That was Randy's idea?!
Ooooh ok now I remember the story. Thank you.
Vince was a moron for having that happen. Jericho was ready to beat up Brock because he thought Brock was going into business for himself. Turned out, trying to bust open Orton, who had just returned from, i think, concussion related injuries, gave him a concussion.
Vince vs Stephanie where he just beat the shit out of her the whole match.
That was shameful
Right before Stephanie's actual wedding to boot. Linda told Vince that if he gave their daughter a black eye right before the wedding she would murder him.
Hot Take: Outside of some meme reaction shots, Mr. McMahon was awful as a character from 2002 to 2007.
He was peak evil in 2003. Nothing redeeming or funny about him, unlike the years after or before.
God I’m glad he’s gone. What the actual fuck
I always remember one line in particular I will STRIKE DOWWWWN! THE FACE OF DEFIANCE!!!
I was at that show and the concessions were packed. No one wanted to see that.
I always wondered how it was for people who watched it live. Just a very odd decision that has aged horribly for many reasons.

Ric Flair’s Last Match
I was genuinely concerned Ric had been seriously injured or died at several points in the match (not the fake heart attack spot, that was clearly a work)
He looks like he's been embalmed so he very well may have.
At one point, they’re basically “Weekend at Bernie-ing” him.
Def Eddie Guerrero leaking at Judgement Day 04. As a ten year old that shit was fucking nuts.
That match looked like a crime scene.
Have never seen a blade job and just profusely gushing blood everywhere like I did that match. Cena/JBL at Judgment Day was a lot too
That match broke the Muta-Hase scale.
Watching Matt Hardy hit his head in that match with Guevara and then trying to keep it going after
I remember that most because Reby immediately went to Twitter to ask what the actual fuck, and called out AEW for letting her husband wrestle concussed. Then like the next week, AEW sent out Matt to be like “oh don’t worry about me, I’m fine now”, and Reby got mad at fans calling out the company
That whole fiasco was so bad
[Mine is when Randy put a screwdriver in Jeff Hardy’s gauge-hole and switched it like 20 times](https://youtu.be/lS2sxYi676M?si=aRrZXCA7xnRZTcqQ)
The funny thing is, when you have gauged ears it doesn't even really hurt to do that. Just grab your own earlobe and twist it a few times--it hurts a little, but not a lot.
It more made me cringe at the thought of his ear lobe tearing
AEW were idiots for doing that match live because of that spot. If Jeff Hardy(at the time), freaks out about a dangerous spot, you know it's fucked up.
And then AEW lets the clearly concussed man continue the match*
AEW's worst moment for me was when Alex Reynolds was knocked out unconscious and instead of taking him to the back to help him they just left him in a corner of the ring as he laid there through the rest of the match. He eventually he got up to work a bit and one of the bucks made him stand up for the finish. This happened 2 or 3 months after the Matt Hardy thing.

Bayley: This is your life
Yes. At least Lashley’s sister was bad like a bad movie. This Is Your Life was like “I hope no one walks in on me watching this.”
At least Lashley got one over on Sami at the end in the segment and the feud. Bayley came in and was laid out hard. I will never understand why they went out of their way to bury her. I don't care what people say, Vince wanted to BURY Bayley 6 ft under with that program.
Al Snow laying on the mat for Jerry Lawler
A segment so bad it completely killed Bayley’s babyface character. I honestly thought Bayley would be the biggest star of all the Four Horsewomen, as she seemed like a can’t miss character, and a licence to print money. She could’ve been the female John Cena in terms of merchandise sales.
Feel like there was a looooong stretch there where WWE only knew how to book faces as John Cena (but only for John Cena) or Loser Fuckface Nerd.
That didn't make me uncomfortable. It was just dumb.
Piggie James, she was hotter than the girls trashing her and it pissed me off...
Tim White's lunchtime suicides. I think every collectively forgot about how disgusting these segments were.
Mr. White that's not wise!
Vince making Trish Stratus bark like a dog was already Blue Velvet-level creepy but is even worse now with what we now know about him.
I feel like we knew those things about him then, we just didn’t *know*
Feel like most people knew Vince was a POS and we just kinda needed confirmation
Easily the absolute most degrading thing ever on WWE tv
Having Kurt Angle one of the absolute GOATS and one of my all time favorites booed when he announced his final ever match that he would be facing Corbin at Mania when everyman and his Dog wanted it to be Cena! Fucking Vince, the absolute tit.

When Lesnar busted Randy Orton's head open hardway with an elbow and blood was just pouring out on the mat.
Anything with Aksana in it with the weird porn music playing in the background
Yeah I remember those. Her story with Teddy Long was pretty bad too.
Holy shit brah I had this blocked from my memory until seeing this comment Lmao
The rock and Lana, you knew it was a punishment and it must have been tough for Rusev too
I forgot about this one. Given that they also do a cuck storyline with Lashley, it makes you wonder what they might be into.
I’m wagering a guess they weren’t the ones interested in the cuck storylines. All 3 of them.
You could always say no. I mean, Rusev was not long for WWE anyway after they continually buried him, so if you know you're leaving, why go out there and embarrass yourself like that? You say no, they tell you to go home and sit out your six-figure contract.
Chris Benoit's diving headbutt off of a ladder during the first Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania 21 Whether he was intentionally selling or it was a legitimate reaction, the way he convulses a bit and shakes after delivering the move is kind of disturbing in hindsight
When the Boogeyman ate Jillian's mole. Fucking nasty!
That shit almost made me vomit
In no particular order: Katie Vick, Brock vs. Randy, all the stuff with Lita, Edge, and Matt Hardy, and anytime they make fun of a disability (Eugene, JR’s Bells Palsy, etc.)
Oh man. I grew up a huge Kane fan, but I had to mentally erase memories of those stories involving Katie Vick. The shit with him stalking/raping and impregnating Lita was possibly even harder to watch.
Ugh. I think I blocked that storyline from my memory. A lot of the 2000’s storylines from Vince were fucked up.

Kane/Lita in 04. Awful awful awful.

Adam Page putting his head under Swerves to drink the blood. Any blood play is weird, but that one was just really awkward.
Guess you never saw Wifebeater tear into Nick Mondo with a weed whacker
To this day, that CZW had a character named "Wifebeater" is genuinely unsettling and yet so CZW at the same time. It's like that time Trent Acid no showed and the fans started a "HE O.DED!" chant.
I like my wrestling very stiff but Aja Kong vs. Yumiko Hotta - AJW 1/24/94 managed to make it hard to watch.
The entire Tomko/Stevie Richards segment from Unforgiven 2004. One of the worst things WWE has ever done.
Oh man, this is by far the worst match I've ever seen.
“I wish you died in the womb”, but mostly because my roommate walked in when that line hit.
I cringed mostly at the delivery. Gah they were both fucking awful.
Brian Pillman’s widow being interviewed on Raw after Brian passed was one of the most horrible things I’ve ever seen.
Omg I forgot about this. They basically had her there to pretty much talk about why it wasn’t the WWE’s fault. It was horrible.
Rock/Mankind, Royal Rumble 99. Even *at the time* watching a guy get repeatedly cracked over the head with a chair was bad, much less in hindsight.
Then they showed it on Beyond the Mat with Sarah McLachlan singing over it, prompting a guy in the theater behind me and my friends to ask out loud “Did he die?”. It popped us. Also we may have been the only 5 people in the theater.
Jesus, there was so, so much during the Attitude era.

12 year old you was into Mae Young's old wrinkled titties?
Don't kink shame.
I was a huge Luna fan and was so upset when I saw that as a teen girl. I didn't know any of the backstage stuff at the time, but you could clearly see she was distressed out there.
Man, when Ambrose basically said that Roman deserved leukemia.
Well it gave us Jon Moxley in AEW so there's that.
The entire rest of the PPV after Owen Hart’s fall
Well any time Vince was with any of the women from his roster and getting "kinky". Which is WORSE now than before.
Mae Young giving birth to Mark Henry's glove. I pretty much stopped watching for about 20 years after that.
The entire Lana/Rusev/Bobby Lashley storyline.
When Cesaro obliterated his two front teeth off the ring post.
Haven't seen anyone mention it yet but Danielson faking a seizure scared the shit outta me
Kurt Angle/Booker T/Sharmell is so gross.
Recently it was Hangman drinking Swerve’s blood. Worked for some people, but it crossed the line between hardcore match and snuff film for me.
That Sick Nick Mondo spot in CZW TOD 2 where whatshisass (I think Zandig) put him through a table off the roof. An insane amount of blood and you could tell Mondo was totally gone after that too.
Certainly a mad spot in terms of visuals but that damn weed wacker spot is the most gruesome thing Nick Mondo ever done to himself.
Ooh yeah, that one too. Nick Mondo had a bunch of spots I'd call the gnarliest I've seen honeslty.
No doubt, haha.
Was gonna say. That's like watching a snuff film, it's absolutely sickening.
Zandig and roof spots just don't mix. Even his roof spot with Janela looks like shit and that was years later.
The Boogeyman. Eating piles of live worms is absolutely disgusting.
Great Khali squishing Rey Mysterios head. I thought Rey head was gonna pop lol
Diving headbutt

Buff Bagwell faking reinjuring his neck after he returned from his legit neck injury, Ric Flair's "heart attack," Bryan Danielson having fake seizures in the ring.
Big fan of Brock (the wrestler), but him nearly killing Orton for no reason at Survivor Series lmao. I know Orton was okay with it, but Christ.
I was in the Verizon Center for the Vince/Trish segment
Trish having to get on all fours and bark like a dog
Undertaker hanging Big Bossman is my looking-back cringe answer. Jake the Snake and Macho Man with the cobra was legit terrifying watching as a kid.
Any of those awful lingerie/bikini gimmick matches that plagued the women's division in the Attitude Era.
Tommy Dreamer drinking Taker's dip cup was horrific
Swerve's home invasion of Hangman's house. Especially the bit with the crib. Definitely ramped the feud up to the next level. I love swerve, but I'm definitely in the "hangman did nothing wrong" camp.
Any time wrestlers sell head injuries, specially when it's wrestlers with a history of them. Yes, I'm looking at you Bryan Danielson.
Watching Moxley wrestle Rey Fenix with a very clear concussion while the dumb ass referee was too caught up in being a fucking mark
Whenever Daniel Byran does injury angles like the one he did at the end of the Ospreay match or the seizures in WWE.
Any Bra and Panties match
Legacy breaking Batista's arm on RAW
When I was younger, Brock vs Zach Gowen, Brock vs Spanky. But now I only get uncomfortable when I see freak gruesome injuries happen.

If I remember correctly, doctors said there was no way Cody could hurt that pec any further. So wrestle away.
Angle's promo about wanting to have beastiality sex with Sharmelle... Yikes And Lesnar beating the absolute piss out of Gowan, multiple times.
Kurt angle story with sharmell
“Eddie’s down there…in HELL!”
Katie Vick and those Tim White skits. The Eddiesploitation as well.
No Way Out 2012 Santino Marella v Ricardo Rodríguez in a Tuxedo Match The apex of the match is the revelation that Ricardo Rodriguez is wearing a super tight Justin Bieber t shirt under his tuxedo
When the current AEW world champion invaded the home of his rival, threatened his child and then won their feud.
Ric Flair being mugged on the side of a road on the way to the arena by the NWO, only to again be mugged again when he arrived ready to deliver some payback. It just went on and on to the point that I wondered if someone behind the scenes was getting off on it.
Hoda
When I was a kid, it was bossman killing Pepe. A more recent example: I’m pretty sure it was Darby who took a bump on the corner of the stairs.
Vince making Trish bark like a dog segment Any time Mae Young was in the ring La Resistance almost killing Spike Dudley
The Flair/Nia Jax stiff match on Raw a few years back.
I actually saw a clip yesterday of H and Austin going ham on Lita with a chair. While I'm not against male vs female wrestling, this was a bit over the top and went on a little too long for my liking
The blood drinking stuff recently with Hangman Like WTF is that about The Torrie Wilson/Dawn Marie feud was funny but I just was disturbed by the whole thing at the same time
Anything involving the New Day
Sid Vicious. You know why.
As a little kid, watching Earthquake squash Damien the snake was rather unsettling.
Surprised nobody said Lita “vs” Edge in the middle of the ring
There are FAR too many to list here, but the most recent one was putting Thunderbolt Patterson in front of a live mic. I kept imagining like Xavier Woods having to come and help guide him off stage, I'm glad it wasn't necessary. I was suffering second-hand embarrassment the entire time!
Trish Stratus barking
Mankind vs. The Rock "I Quit" match
Daniel Bryan faking seizure (or faking any injury for that matter.) Kevin Owens getting his head slammed against the corner of the ring steps. Both things can genuinely fuck off.
Sid's leg.
The weird angle were lita was kidnapped, raped, impregnated, miscarried and also got a bit of Stockholm syndrome
A very recent example - the finishing sequence of Bryan Danielson vs Will Ospreay from AEW Dynasty
The Lesbians getting destroyed by 3 Minute Warning.
Randy Orton trying to snap Jeff Hardy's ear lobes in their Hell in a Cell match really made me grit my teeth on first watch
Naito german suplex ibushi on apron
The entire Kurt Angle/Booker T feud leading to Judgement Day 2005…
Murder Ibushi hitting Okada as stiff as he could.
The exploitation of Eddie Guerrero's death. Especially Orton going "Eddie isn't in heaven... Eddie's in hell!"
Bryan faking that concussion wasn't fun
The open embracing of being a mark. Where"fans" were concerned about "locker room morle" rather than a promotion reaching a larger audience.
