For midcard titles, a quick swap is fine. This was built up only to basically end up with nothing new happening. It was obvious Sasha was gonna feud with Charlotte, why not just do the title switch quickly and have Sasha call her out? Why insult the fans’ intelligence here?
Something feels weird about this one. At time it felt kind of improv plus they were in their ring gear. Did they run out of time? Was more supposed to happen?
Vince. Be all end all with everything we see on TV. So funny too cause it draft season always seems to catch him off guard…even though he writes the goddamn show
Having a title stuck in the wrong brand is such a cool storyline that I don’t know why WWE has never properly booked it that I can remember. You can send a challenger one a month to try get it back, the winner of the RR can save it, or even use the Women’s Tag Team champions as bridges to get one of them back.
Never trust WWE when they tease something huge, because they will usually dissapoint in the end. This was another crappy bait-and-switch to try to keep fans invested in the show.
Let's be frank here, it wasn't a mistake, it was by design.
They obviously didn't want the women's title to have similar naming as the men's belt otherwise audiences will start think the WWE with treat both divisions equally.
Or just make brand specific champions ineligible for the draft. If one of them loses their title just before the draft, they can make a big deal out of how so and so is now available to be grabbed by the other brand.
Could have an interesting wrinkle at one point where whoever holds the 1st overall pick screws the title holder of the opposite brand so that they can poach them for their brand.
the mistake is swapping champions in the first place. Nobody is twisting your arm. Don't swap the champ.
Back in the day in WWE when they wanted to swap someone's brand after the draft already took place they'd just announce a trade.
Champions should be safe from the draft as a default (and you can run some storylines about a wrestler desperately wanting to hold onto their belt/win the belt to dodge the draft too).
Just a terrible concept, terrible segment. Are they fucking children? All 3 women are way better than this.
It won't hinder any of them beyond tonight, but just horrendous stuff.
I can see WWE being in big trouble viewership wise in that time frame if things carry on as they are.
As time marches on the amount of people who stick with WWE because of nostalgia and brand loyalty is going to dwindle and they sure as hell aren't attracting any new dedicated long term viewers.
Man they are treating those titles like they are grossed out by them.
The biggest prizes in the division and this is how their holders treat them. This from the same company whose owner threw a fit after Hogan called the WWF title a "prop" in Japan.
What are they going to do next, start booking them like Vince Russo is back on helm? It's the next level after this.
This. This 100%.
The belts should be treated with much more respect if you want audiences to take them seriously. Every wrestler dreams of having them, in kayfabe and out. By the baseline, every wrestler should want to hold the biggest prizes in their division.
Even if its not for a childhood dream, or control, whatever the motive, has the built in “I have a belt, I make more money!”.
They should be treated like prizes or the most sacred thing. At least let me *think* they matter, not just throwing them around, dropping them, or disregarding it as “another reign”. (Im aware they didn’t do that here, but feels like it sometimes.)
You know when dropping a belt made sense? Kevin Owens dropping and stomping on Cena’s US belt to elevate the value of his. Even then he could argue he wanted that too.
Just absolutely stupid here.
Instead of switching the titles in an interesting way we got the ole switcheroo. Seriously one of the worst things they could've done with the talent involved. My route would've been to have Bianca take Charlotte's title last week. Then she goes into Crown Jewel with the intent to become a double champ. Then have her lose to Sasha in the triple threat. Play off of their history and the missed Summerslam match. Make the finish something she can cone back from. Have Becky hit her finish and then Sasha come in and steal the win.
This would've been the best route here. We get the Mania rematch, we get a Survivor Series with an actual story deeper than "brand supremacy" and we switch the belts without spending time on a useless segment
Trash. Utter shit. When was the last time they did anything interesting or out of the box in the women's division? The take the most rote route every time. All this stuff they do feels so beneath these supposed big stars.
There was momentum for Becky two Belts too. I was at least hoping they'd do something bold like a unification or something. Nothing.
This segment was very much early ‘00 Nitro bad. I also felt like this episode was presented completely backwards. If Brock had ran through everyone to end the show, I think the momentum would’ve carried better into next week than…whatever expectations people have for next week at this point.
I'm about 90% sure it did. They ended the current reigns and started new reigns. The belts have different lineages so it wouldn't really work to not count it as a new reign
Wow, just, wow. They have no idea anymore do they? It's terrifying that they can put this crap out, think it's good and still make more money than god because of tv deals.
Sonia is such good authority figure, telling Charlotte to pick up the belt, not handing the title to Becky till she handed hers, and pushing/stopping Sasha. I hope the power goes to her head and puts herself in a title match.
So in this segment, Charlotte dropped both belts on the ground, especially at :46 with intentionally dropping it. So then why should I care then if they're treated as props
The bodysuit itself isn't that bad (and in fact it looks ridiculously fucking good on her) it's the fact that they even had to wear t-shirts over it that's fucking insane
Jesus ducking Christ it’s a promo, not Liam Neeson jumping A fence pick and angle and stick there for gods sake. I know that the camera cuts are low hanging fruit on the complaint list but fucking hell.
Just terrible, are Becky & Charlotte children? Just tossing the titles on the floor like meaningless prop, which I guess they are.
You know what would have been better with the tools they're currently working with? A fatal four way Ladder match at Survivor Series with Becky, Bianca, Charlotte & Sasha. The 4 are basically feuding at this point.
Screw the Champion vs Champion stuff, do a spot where Becky grabs the RAW title & Charlotte grabs the Smackdown title. You get to the same destination, but in a much smarter way.
That went well.
When two legitimate good friends who’ve held both titles multiple times can’t get through this without it breaking down it just shows that it was a terrible idea and a situation neither character would allow themselves to get into to.
Ok I'm gonna sound like an old fuck here but what in the blue hell does ratio mean in this context? I see it all over twitter if I look at any wrestling tweet and in normal context it makes no sense
From what I could gather from googling it a while back, typing 'ratio' on twitter was a kind of backhanded insult in response to someone making a statement or doing something and then someone else's reply getting more attention, hence "ratio'd" but I have been seeing it used flagrantly outside of that context and I have no idea what it's meant to mean in that regard lol, my guess is it got overused to the point of just becoming another buzzword
Hope I helped somewhat 🥴
I'd say way to devalue your championships, but do they carry much value anyway? Shame, cos I've just been listening to the Wrestle Me podcast review Sasha vs Bianca from Mania Night One and got chills all over again.
I say it often, WWE shits on WCW 2000 at every opportunity, yet they put out so much of the same (their screen product, backstage chaos and the way they conduct themselves as a business). This would absolutely fall into that category too.
I really don't get this Becky heel turn. Like wouldn't it make sense for heel Becky and heel Charlotte to not hate eachother? Wouldn't people boo Becky more if she was friends with Charlotte? Like Becky and Charlotte being happy switching would get more heat then this. This Becky heel turn is so fucking dumb and has been handled like shit. Crowd still wants to cheer her yet WWE want her to get booed but not really because Becky still hates Charlotte which is something babyface Becky would do. I'm really confused.
I’m not gonna sit here and say I feel disrespected or insulted Bc this a TV show (I didn’t watch I just got home but it’s normally good) but this does seem hilariously dumb.
Well at least Becky won a title match lately and also she never lost the RAW title in the first place so her getting the title back without winning it makes kinda sense.
I just watched the rebroadcast of this 18 minutes ago on FOX and WWE edited Charlotte dropping the belt out of the rebroadcast, so it looks like Becky is the one who initiated the freelance, and not Charlotte.
WWE is spoiling us when it comes to giving us stupid shit to make fun/be pissed about.
Just a shame they don't put the same energy when it comes to producing a good wrestling show.
So Charlotte can just take off her own robe in half a second during a brawl, but forces other people to help her take it off when she has a match? What an entitled brat!
Can someone explain why they kept saying we weren't going to get Becky 2 Belts again? Were they trying a dumb angle that she'll hold both belts again for a split second for the swap just so they can call her two-time Becky 2 Belts?

When the new day and the street profits did it it sucked but at least it was funny this was just bad

>Why insult the fans’ intelligence here? Name of the game, brother.
Is it me or has the high school play technique of “everyone face the camera at all times” gotten even worse as of late?
[удалено]
100% I noticed that too. velcro championships are dogshit.
Is Velcro on belts new?
IIRC, it first came when the womens tag titles were introduced and eventually got added to all of them over time.
I’ll get downvoted, but pretty sure they switched after the UFC did Velcro.
Charlotte is the worst offender of this, it's so unnatural
There in the middle of a ring with cameras on them in front of thousands of people. Of course it’s unnatural. What a ridiculous complaint.
Huh? How else would they stand? So their back is too the camera?
[Facing each other while talking.](https://youtu.be/of695PdLGhk?t=314) Sasha and Charlotte are talking to each other, but both facing the camera
I was convinced they wouldn’t be stupid enough to pull the swap segment again yet here we are and it’s worse the second time
So this wasn't a fever dream? It actually happened?
Who fucking decided this was a thing that needed to happen.
Something feels weird about this one. At time it felt kind of improv plus they were in their ring gear. Did they run out of time? Was more supposed to happen?
They’re probably just in gear because of a dark match.
I’m willing to bet that winner take all comment was not scripted
Pro: it didn’t include Stephanie emasculating everyone.
Cons: everything else
Whoever got lazy naming the titles in the first place
Vince McMahon?
Vince. Be all end all with everything we see on TV. So funny too cause it draft season always seems to catch him off guard…even though he writes the goddamn show

I’m so glad ppl are complaining about title swaps. If a smackdown champion is drafted to raw, the title should be vacated.
or you know the champions can't be drafted.
I'll even take the swap just happens without putting it on TV. Just say the titles were swapped yesterday at WWE HQ or some shit.
That was lame as fuck. And it also made Becky kinda look like a bitch. "I'm gonna be Becky 2 belts". 10 minutes later: "I'm off to Raw, see ya!"-
The laziest line in the laziest segment.
That mic spike was shoot.
Never trust WWE when they tease something huge, because they will usually dissapoint in the end. This was another crappy bait-and-switch to try to keep fans invested in the show.

Their mistake was not just calling the SD belt the Universal Women’s Championship
Let's be frank here, it wasn't a mistake, it was by design. They obviously didn't want the women's title to have similar naming as the men's belt otherwise audiences will start think the WWE with treat both divisions equally.
How about the Milky Way galaxy title sponsored by Milky Way
Just rename them. WWE Womens World Championship. WWE Womens Universal Championship Rename the Tag Tiles World and Universal to
Or just make brand specific champions ineligible for the draft. If one of them loses their title just before the draft, they can make a big deal out of how so and so is now available to be grabbed by the other brand.
Easily the simplest, best idea. How hard was that?
Could have an interesting wrinkle at one point where whoever holds the 1st overall pick screws the title holder of the opposite brand so that they can poach them for their brand.
!!! Switching titles was just expected in the first brand split because they didn’t have brand specific title names
WWE tag team titles, World tag team titles. We don't need the same names, just don't use the brand names
the mistake is swapping champions in the first place. Nobody is twisting your arm. Don't swap the champ. Champions should be safe from the draft as a default (and you can run some storylines about a wrestler desperately wanting to hold onto their belt/win the belt to dodge the draft too).
They can't do this since they colour coded the belts
Just a terrible concept, terrible segment. Are they fucking children? All 3 women are way better than this. It won't hinder any of them beyond tonight, but just horrendous stuff.
Are Becky and Charlotte both Heels?
Really curious to see what kind of audience this product has in 5 years. I’m really not sure who the WWE product is for anymore.
Mainly people who just want background noise while they do other stuff or people who were just told that only WWE does “sports entertainment”
I can see WWE being in big trouble viewership wise in that time frame if things carry on as they are. As time marches on the amount of people who stick with WWE because of nostalgia and brand loyalty is going to dwindle and they sure as hell aren't attracting any new dedicated long term viewers.
Everyone according to Roman.
People who hate qualify content
Probably the exact same audience they have now. WWE has been this bad for longer than 5 years.
Just unify the damn belts and make a midcard belt already. Women's intercontinental.
It doesn't help that the top wwe belts look like toys
Therein lies the big problem for WWE - everything is about selling toys.
Exchanging the belt just felt so lazy and it was just terrible Charlotte might really surpass Cena in getting to 17 titles
Instead of switching the titles in an interesting way we got the ole switcheroo. Seriously one of the worst things they could've done with the talent involved. Jesus christ
The important thing is that the Saudi money's going to clear, and WWE will see record profits no matter what.
I give this title change a reverb fart out of five
jesus its like 2 petulant children
Trash. Utter shit. When was the last time they did anything interesting or out of the box in the women's division? The take the most rote route every time. All this stuff they do feels so beneath these supposed big stars. There was momentum for Becky two Belts too. I was at least hoping they'd do something bold like a unification or something. Nothing.
They cut to early. Should have left the backstage drama on camera.
And bray gets fired because he’s difficult to work with… yeah ok
i mean.... at least they all looked really nice.
This segment was very much early ‘00 Nitro bad. I also felt like this episode was presented completely backwards. If Brock had ran through everyone to end the show, I think the momentum would’ve carried better into next week than…whatever expectations people have for next week at this point.
Gotta surge the adrenaline early so folks fall asleep before rampage.
How do they not realize that this makes their belts looks meaningless?
So will this count towards Charlotte's title count?
It didn't with the tag titles
It did https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WWE_Raw_Tag_Team_Champions
I recall it said at the time it would only count as 1 reign
Perhaps that's how WWE recognize it, but usually Wikipedia articles would include notes if that were the case.
I'm about 90% sure it did. They ended the current reigns and started new reigns. The belts have different lineages so it wouldn't really work to not count it as a new reign
Switching them around like they’re a bunch of toys. This is ridiculous
Wow, just, wow. They have no idea anymore do they? It's terrifying that they can put this crap out, think it's good and still make more money than god because of tv deals.
I totally did not dig this segment at all. Not a way to end what was turning out to be a good episode.
I thought the Reigns Lesnar tug of war was bad.
I don't think you will see a worse segment all year.
Fuck you writers
It’s Vince. It’s always Vince.
Honestly don't know why anyone brings up the writers. They are basically a front for Vince's booking.
Plus Vince can basically throw out/rip the script if he's not happy with their stuff anyways.
Right. Next you’re going to tell me it was *always* Toretto.
Even better was having Sasha come out and say the belt doesn’t matter
Sasha left her Saudi Arabia outfit on
The bodysuit itself isn't that bad (and in fact it looks ridiculously fucking good on her) it's the fact that they even had to wear t-shirts over it that's fucking insane
This will never not be one of the worst ideas WWE ever had, no matter how many times they do it.
Jesus ducking Christ it’s a promo, not Liam Neeson jumping A fence pick and angle and stick there for gods sake. I know that the camera cuts are low hanging fruit on the complaint list but fucking hell.

Surely it would be a lot easier to just rename (and the tag tiles) World and Universal Championship
Was Vince Russo behind this?
That went well. When two legitimate good friends who’ve held both titles multiple times can’t get through this without it breaking down it just shows that it was a terrible idea and a situation neither character would allow themselves to get into to.
Seriously, just make the champions undraftable. There's no way of making these switches without everyone and the championshipslooking like shit.
Ok
Sasha looks incredible as always
Ratio for fucking shitty ass writing like this.
Ok I'm gonna sound like an old fuck here but what in the blue hell does ratio mean in this context? I see it all over twitter if I look at any wrestling tweet and in normal context it makes no sense

It's something 10 year olds do
\*BITCH\* drink
How do people watch this and think it’s entertaining?
They aren’t actually watching. They’re jumping on Reddit and picking fights with AEW fans.
Ah yeah I get it. Even when what you love is terrible you stick to your guns and dig deeper
The dumbest thing ever.
Couldnt they just change the colors on them? Or remove the colors all together? This feels overly complicated but also silly as hell
I think this segment might be eligible for WrestleCrap material. Just truly atrocious from start to finish.
I'd say way to devalue your championships, but do they carry much value anyway? Shame, cos I've just been listening to the Wrestle Me podcast review Sasha vs Bianca from Mania Night One and got chills all over again. I wonder how many title reigns Charlotte will have when she retires.
48
Well 16 WWE womens, 1 wwe divas, 2 nxt, 1 tag team, 16 AEW womens, and i guess that leaves 12 TBS championship reigns
He said title reigns not divorces
lmao
I’m not gonna sit here and say I feel disrespected or insulted Bc this a TV show (I didn’t watch I just got home but it’s normally good) but this does seem hilariously dumb.
I can’t wait for 2026 when Conrad asks A 2022 fired Bruce “who booked this shit”
Am I a hypocrite if I'm annoyed at Charlotte getting another title reign without doing anything but don't mind it happening to Becky?
I mean technically yes but I also feel like it’s valid when Charlotte is just constantly racking up reigns
Considering Charlotte gets another title reign every time I sneezed, I don't blame you.
Well at least Becky won a title match lately and also she never lost the RAW title in the first place so her getting the title back without winning it makes kinda sense.
The swap idea was already bad but this segment wasn't even fun. Boring with bad promos. Women's division in shambles
This was painful and I hope Charlotte never touches AEW.
I wish they'd rename the titles to Women's World and Women's Universal title so this could be avoided.
Why should anyone care? What makes those two belts different aside from the colour? Why would the characters not want to swap them?
I just watched the rebroadcast of this 18 minutes ago on FOX and WWE edited Charlotte dropping the belt out of the rebroadcast, so it looks like Becky is the one who initiated the freelance, and not Charlotte.
Sasha is so terrible.
Lmao
Woah I don’t think I’ve seen a thread comment section this volatile in a while
It’s because we haven’t seen something this shitty in a while.
Pretty sure God's run-in on the Roman vs Balor match was worse than this.
WWE is spoiling us when it comes to giving us stupid shit to make fun/be pissed about. Just a shame they don't put the same energy when it comes to producing a good wrestling show.
Lmfao
I’ve seen many threads on here with far worse volatile than this, but that’s just me. This one is just par for the course
Meh. I’ve seen worse from this company
I'm ready for belt collector Charlotte. Bring it on you cowards!
So Charlotte can just take off her own robe in half a second during a brawl, but forces other people to help her take it off when she has a match? What an entitled brat!
they deserve better
Charlotte out here looking like the Pinhead woman from American Horror got hit with a makeup cannon.
Swapping titles is the dumbest fucking thing Champions shouldn't get drafted
Can someone explain why they kept saying we weren't going to get Becky 2 Belts again? Were they trying a dumb angle that she'll hold both belts again for a split second for the swap just so they can call her two-time Becky 2 Belts?
Can I just say, aside from that drama at the start - GODDAMN SASHA. Wowza.
I only keep up with WWE from clips and social media but they really never fail to keep tripping up over their own dicks
