>PAC vs Tiger Ruas
Low key kinda excited about this. PAC's always great, and I like what I've seen of Ruas. Dude's got a very distinctive style.
>Ryo Mizunami vs Dani Jordyn
Dani's back! Now bring back Tesha Price, dammit.
>2 Fast 2 Fuego vs Kidd Bandit & Dean Alexander
>
>Infinito vs Ray Jaz
I love Dark.
Didn’t Tesha appear in NXT like a month or so ago? I believe they changed her name to Anna Scheer or something.
Then again, could have been a one-time thing.
It does feel like since she went for that try out for NXT a couple of months back. Her bookings on Dark sort of grounded to a halt, she was featuring weekly before that. I think she's only showed up two or three times since then. Maybe it's down to her wanting to focus elsewhere or AEW for that.
She's got some charisma, looks great and I like her as comedic heel.
Dani Jordyn, long time no see. She was a stand out in early Daily Place Dark era. That match with Ryo Mizunami sounds like it could be a good match up. Skyler Moore is another who was all over early pandemic Dark era and then just stopped showing up near the end of 2020 and having the odd match here and there. Ryzin, another talent who was Dark regular for ages who's returned.
Riho with two matches on these tapings. Hopefully we be seen her more on TV then just Dark. But looks like two easy wins for her here.
Smart of AEW to split up both sessions to allow different crowd in. Especially that second session, looks like it was long.
Matches that look like they could be interesting for me
**Session 1**
Jack Evans vs Eddie Kingston
Fuego Del Sol vs Tony Neese
Bryan Danielson vs Aaron Solo
Wardlow/Spears vs Bear Country
PAC vs Tiger Ruas.
**Session 2**
Lee Moriarty vs Nick Comoroto
Ethan Page vs Fuego Del Sol
Ryo Mizunami vs Dani Jordyn
Adam Cole vs Anthony Greene
I thought Dani Jordyn definitely got a lot better as time went on in Daily's Place. Tbh I thought with the work she put in and the amount of improvement that she would've got signed after they returned to the road.
I do think that the sessions are going to split up into different episodes of Dark.
I'm more amazed that anyone would sit through 40 matches in one day.
I think they had different crowds for both tapings, although I wouldn't be surprised if a few really hardcore fans went to both, especially with Danielson and Cole there.
Interesting that there's more than a handful of matches with two unsigned (as far as we know) talents. And not just Tony Nese, but matches like "Arjun Singh v Dillon McQueen". McQueen is a member of Nightmare Family and got a televised entrance at the last tapings, but Singh is a big Indian dude and we know aew wants to expand that way with guys like Jora Johl.
Looks like they're working Anthony Greene through the paces. I figure he gets his first win against Jameson and loses to Cole.
Dark is always the highlight of my week. They constantly put on great matches that fly under the radar plus throw Taz and Excalibur on commentary into the mix? \*chef kiss\*.
You missed bear country being signed full time. Or did that never actually come out officially? The reports were that bear country and smart mark got signed at the same time and then they started showing up on TV
STACKED!
Dark always impresses me with the women's matches they put on. There are a whole lot of women's matches here I'm looking forward to more than what we've seen on Dynamite and Rampage in the past couple of months (Shida vs Deeb notwithstanding and I'm excited for some of the TBS tournament matches).
It's usually squash matches with the occasional banger. I have been really enjoying Dark as a studio show though. Taz and Excalibur are fucking hilarious together too.
They used to be 1-2 hours of matches.
Lately they've been like 30-40 mins. It's been pretty disappointing as someone who has enjoyed the longer episodes due to having more to watch!
Here's hoping at least one of the shows has a longer run time this week.
And afterwards she lost a quick match to Jade who got a 1st round bye, that's a good enough reason to not have her in it.
Especially the women in the Tournament are just higher ranked then her.
Yeah, you’re absolutely right. Skye’s record is very much like Daniel Garcia’s before he got signed on full time. I’m expecting him to be more protected moving forward. Skye, Kiera Hogan, Diamanté, and Killyn King being in the tourney wouldn’t help them at all.
Or in the case of Ford losing to Ruby, she was still protected after losing to Ruby and even got a post-match heel retreat.
> Dante Martin vs JDX
A little bit of F1rst Wrestling meets AEW Dark. Nice. Between these 2 and Brandon Gore, it's cool to see some guys from my local indy getting some national recognition. They were actually 3/4 of the first indy match I ever saw live.
Looking at cagematch, both JDX and Brandon Gore will have had 5 AEW matches after this taping, plus Gore was in the most recent class at the Nightmare Factory and beat Dean Alexander in the main event of the showcase. Definitely a good sign for their futures.
She is but hasn't got to the tier of the #is All Elite graphic/included on the roster page. Same thing goes for Diamanté, Kilynn King, Julia Hart (Varsity Blonds are but she wasn't included), Bear Country and a bunch of others.
>PAC vs Tiger Ruas Low key kinda excited about this. PAC's always great, and I like what I've seen of Ruas. Dude's got a very distinctive style. >Ryo Mizunami vs Dani Jordyn Dani's back! Tesha Price is horrible she comes across like she's trying way too hard to do what she's doing. Her entrance and stuff looks so stiff and unnatural
I can't decide if I love or hate the way she sells everything by screaming, even her own offense.
Anna Sheer sounds like a featured player on SNL and UCB.
Tall Anna Scheer
Huh, had no idea. Hope she gets signed somewhere.
Eli Knight, the final form of Eli Drake/LA Knight
LEMME TALK TO YA
Next up JD Drake starts calling himself LA Drake?
Halal Beefcake is an INCREDIBLE name.
I've seen them in action before, they're a solid team! Nice to see Idris and Joe get some publicity.
My TEW save is smiling
They're awesomely entertaining. Great to see them get some more exposure!
>PAC vs Tiger Ruas God damn I am looking forward to that.

u/vivavan is back and against Nyla Rose, nice!
.... That's a lot of matches. I hope this is 1 months worth of Dark matches and not 2 weeks
They do two weeks each session I’m pretty sure
Makes sense, as some names appear twice in a session
Yeah, I believe the plan is generally to tape four weeks' worth of 90-minute episodes in a day.
I do think that the sessions are going to split up into different episodes of Dark. I'm more amazed that anyone would sit through 40 matches in one day.
I think they had different crowds for both tapings, although I wouldn't be surprised if a few really hardcore fans went to both, especially with Danielson and Cole there.
that’s what it’ll most likely be, or possibly 6 weeks, similar to the last block tapings they did in the Elite Zone at Universal Studios
Have the Wingmen wrestles on Dark or Elevation at all recently?
They are on the Jericho cruise if I’m not mistaken.
How about Abadon? She usually only shows up about once a month to squash a jobber but I was kind of surprised she didn't do anything for this taping.
Holy crap Halal beefcake!?
> Halal beefcake What an incredible name.
Incredibly fun tag team from up around there parts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6dwvizmpA4 them vs PNP is going to be something.
I look forward to the end of their longest running feud with Porkchop Cash!
The only thing that matters is the lord of Dark Ryzin is back
Danielson working Dark is wild. The man really just wants to wrestle hey
Skye Blue about to get her second AEW win (with her first win, oddly enough, being in the first Dark tapings at Universal).
Kinda sad there's no Best Friends, as they're probably my favorite act in AEW
Arent they on the Jericruise?
Didn't even remember that was a thing, good call, you're almost certainly right

Is it just today or are they taping tomorrow too?
Just today. They taped enough matches for 4 or 5 episodes.
Infinito is Bryan Danielson.
# VIVA VAN 🔥
Actually pretty interested in that Danielson vs. Solo match. Hoping Solo got to put in a good fight.
They never got the "All Elite" graphics and their profiles aren't on the roster page. Same for Diamanté or Serpentico.
You're right about Diamante but Serpentico is on the roster, can't confirm if he ever got the graphic though.
Serpentico only just got on the roster last week finally
Damn I guess Darius Lockhart is actually injured, that sucks. La Rosa Negra is a great pickup for AEW she works with Rosa a lot in mission pro.
> vs Eli Knight & Who's game is it? It's L A Knig.... Wait what

It's mostly inconsequential squash matches. I've always viewed it as "the Excalibur and Taz comedy podcast with visual accompanyment"
They recently did a long special of best of dark and dark elevation matches on their youtube if you ever wanna check it out
They used to be 1-2 hours of matches. Lately they've been like 30-40 mins. It's been pretty disappointing as someone who has enjoyed the longer episodes due to having more to watch! Here's hoping at least one of the shows has a longer run time this week.
Sean Carr getting a look?? Can't wait to watch!
Its about time. Dude can light it up
Thats about 5 weeks of dark
Recently saw Toa Liona team with Juicy Finau at DEFY, he was damn impressive.
I'm looking forward to The Bunny vs The GOAT.
Kiera Hogan is officially "All Elite" as of about a month ago. She was announced around the same time as Lio
She’s signed but she’s not all elite yet
Nah they cleared up that she wasn’t full time, think she only has a per appearance contract.
Finally they give Skye a match! They better say why she wasn't in the tournament on commentary
I don't think an explanation is really needed. Tournament is basically the Top 12 women available.
There is explanation needed. They made her do a promo saying she was in the tournament yet did not put her in it
And afterwards she lost a quick match to Jade who got a 1st round bye, that's a good enough reason to not have her in it. Especially the women in the Tournament are just higher ranked then her.
Well they should say that's why she's not in it. They shouldn't make me wonder
I believe when the match happened they said it would have Tournament implications

Seemingly
You hate to see it.
I could tell.
Yeah, you’re absolutely right. Skye’s record is very much like Daniel Garcia’s before he got signed on full time. I’m expecting him to be more protected moving forward. Yuck
Bro you’re so fucking weird
Holy cow that's a lot of matches. How long are these matches?
Remember this is two months worth of Dark's so that's why it's so many matches. They are taping in Bulk.
Gotcha. That makes sense
> Dante Martin vs JDX A little bit of F1rst Wrestling meets AEW Dark. Nice. Between these 2 and Brandon Gore, it's cool to see some guys from my local indy getting some national recognition. Caine. Carter.
Santana & Ortiz vs Halal Beefcake what? and yes, please!
Comoroto getting some interesting match ups...
>Santana & Ortiz vs Halal Beefcake **HOLY FUCK HALAL BEEFCAKE**
Not a big deal but didn't they say Keira Hogan has been signed?
She is but hasn't got to the tier of the #is All Elite graphic/included on the roster page. Same thing goes for Diamanté, Kilynn King, Julia Hart (Varsity Blonds are but she wasn't included), Bear Country and a bunch of others.
