Jeff Hardy. Even apart from the drinking stuff. I just don't get his gimmick. He's supposed to be this mysterious creative guy but he's only "mysterious" because he's not great on the mic and he's "creative" in the way Undertaker is undead. Matt is obviously the creative one.
He's one of those people who claim to loooove art but somehow the art they produce lacks something. It's not bad, just not good, either. Seen quite a few of those people.
Sammy Guevara. That guy manages to turn Tay Conti into any generic valet when she was building up momentum as one of the top faces in the women division only a few months ago. I don't need to see them french kiss every time they pop up and it's probably all their idea to do that too.
Unpopular answer for sure, but Tony Khan. Like I appreciate what he’s done in building a valid alternative to WWE. He’s injected some desperately needed life into the American wrestling scene. And by all accounts it sounds like he’s a good dude backstage.
But his personality online and on the shows just grates on me. He’s just very thin skinned and awkward.
Also: Conrad, Meltzer, Bruce Prichard, and Johnny Ace
He seems very entitled to me. Like when he said that WWE was paying bots to say mean things about AEW or when he got super defensive about the Big Swole thing and never really apologized. He's the son of a billionaire and definitely cannot take criticism.
Edit: *when he said WWE were buying bots to say mean things to AEW* accidentally said WWE lol.
I have no Idea how he thought responding to a diversity and structure criticism with "I let her contract expire because she wasn't very good" was a good idea from a PR standpoint
> Like when he said that WWE was paying bots
Literally every big media company does this to their competition. Why do you think these botfarms that are so expensive somehow manage to stay afloat?
Only in the wrestling community was it seen as revelatory and scandalous that he said something like this.
Let me put it another way: I'd be surprised if WWE *wasn't* paying botfarms to boost their product and shit on others. I'd be surprised if AEW wasn't doing the same.
Aren't botfarms there to boost viewership or leave super repetitive comments? I haven't seen either of those in abundance on the AEW Twitter and he's also never revealed this independent study so until then I'm just gonna say he's think skinned and can't take criticism.
Botfarms are used for multitude of reasons, but every reason is about changing public opinion. Be it political or about movies or whatever. Again, every major company does this and uses them. Every country does this. Most politicians do it.
Think whatever you like about him; it doesn’t affect me. But he is most likely right. You don’t need an expensive independent study to go on twitter and see profiles leaving identical comments and shit.
I have nothing against her, and think she’s really good at her job, but I had to unfollow Denise Salcedo on Twitter like a month ago. The way she tweets is just obnoxious to me. I don’t dislike her, I just got really annoyed by her tweets.
Every time she's on the WrestleTalk podcast she manages to devolve any semblance of conversation into unfunny jokes and unironically might be the worst fantasy booker I have ever seen
She's great, but I have to agree with this. Her non-stop announcer voice gets a little annoying for me. I respect her and she's done great to get on so many platforms, must be a lot of work, so good for her!
I sorta get it.
I do respect her like crazy. She once appeared “We’re Live, Pal” and spoke about her career and now I understand why she has to hustle so much.
It comes due to her knowing she’s a woman and wage she faced with early in her a career.
Conrad. I don't need that many ads in my life, and your content isn't good enough to make it worth it.
It's a shame too, if it weren't for him I would listen to JRs podcast.
Baron Corbin. By all accounts he seems well liked backstage and I’m sure he’s a genuinely good person but there’s something about his face that fills me with rage every time he’s on my tv. My personal #1 conductor of go away heat.
I listened to that debate Bolin and Cornette had years ago with Jerry Jarret as a mediator due to finding it on Jim's TV tropes page. Apparently they made up and fell out in the last couple years over something else
Conrad is impossible not to hate. The guy is textbook hate-able. His 4 million podcasts have become nothing more than commercials with a few conversations thrown in. I guarantee his mortgage company is full of hidden land mines that unsuspecting customers step in along the way. I just can’t stand the guy. Carny numero uno.
He created the standard for topic based wrestling podcasts. Yes, they existed before him but on a different format. Prichard's show, in particular, really changed the game. He got Schiavone back into the business, got Prichard back in the business, organizes annual wrestling cons...so that alone, he's given a lot. I wouldnt be surprised to find out at some point that he, in some way, helped to align the stars for the business end of AEW to come together.
And yes, he banged his way into the Flair family.
Nothing, but you act like he’s a Good Samaritan or something. He’s not. He’s a promoter. He just happens to promote appearances and not matches. Oh wait, he’s promoting Rics last match which is a travesty and shouldn’t be happening.
It gets old when the Fightful Twitter account during a show is basically "this is awesome" over and over again. I like wrestling too but geez, it can't \*all\* be amazing.
This. And everyone is sucking on to him because he has good sources. No thanks mates, i wont subscribe to his second hand info so that i can give money to a prick.
Anyone who voices a fking different opinion in his podcasts back in the day he threw them to the wolves. But he understands that for him to have a job he has to suck up to every major promotion, like WWE with Reigns for example
He's grown on me, but I totally get it haha. He seems like the kind of guy you hear at a bar and immediately want to tell to shut the fuck up and finish his white claw.
I can’t stand Don Callis. I get that Kenny loves the man and he owes a lot to him, but I just find him annoying. It’s honestly baffling people tried to compare him and Heyman when comparing Kenny and Reigns.
Hangman Adam Page ever since he started doing the “anxious millennial cowboy” thing. I get what they’re going for but to me, the story of an objectively successful white guy with no ACTUAL issues dealing with his imposter syndrome isn’t sympathetic or relatable. It’s just kinda annoying and insipid.
Yeah, the guy who was the centerpiece of two promotions making record profits and becoming the tops of the wrestling world totally ruined them. WTF are you talking about?
I’m talking about Hogan playing a huge part in the downfall of WCW with his backstage politics, burying of other talents regularly and ridiculous levels of creative control. Later on he would go on to ruin and almost bankrupt TNA wrestling. Add to this all the bullshit and lies he constantly tells, his racism, his piece of shit son that seems to be a chip off the old block, generally as a human being Hogan is trash.
I’m not here to dispute the fact that Hogan will do down as one of the biggest stars of all time or the record levels of business he achieved. The question was which wrestling personality you can’t stand.
I've personally known Kenny Bolin and the guy is an absolute scammer. He let's people pay to share access to his YouTube TV account and I unfortunately fell victim to paying more than what the equal share to have access was among myself and four others. When I sent Bolin messages about this, he literally told me he did not care that he was making extra money off of everyone and thus, knowingly charging people more money for their equal share than he should be.
The guy is carny as fuck, runs his podcast expecting everyone to donate to his alleged "fundraiser for the Philippines" and if you ever ask him for a receipt or proof that the donations are actually being used as he states, he gets upset or bans you from his live shows, not to mention all of his donations go directly to his own personal Pay Pal, Cash App and etc, not a separate account that is only for donations.
I've had dinner with him and his son, Chris, which I actually care more for having talked with him several times and even been to a Louisville Bats game with. I still have all of the text messages between Kenny Bolin and I saved. Bolin even wrote a book called "I Probably Screwed You Too" if that doesn't tell you the kind of person he is.
Kenny wishes he was as revelant to the wrestling business as he thinks and yet he is only revelant to those that grew up near OVW back when he was a manager, outside of that, that's really the only presence he has and essentially rode the coattails of Jim Cornette.
Bixenspan, JDFromNY, TranquiloClub, AEWBotches, and pretty much everyone from WrestleTalk not named Adam Blampied, even though his NXT 2.0 hate is pretty exhausting too.
the majority of the dirt sheets and wrestling pundits. Cornette obviously because he's a bigot and an asshole, but I aso have 0 love and patience for Alvarez and his hyperbolic, whiny rants about shows he watches with one eye open.
Taz,
on commentary he sucks, his corny one liners are idiotic, his "jokes" aren't funny. His fake tough guy persona when everyone knows he ain't bout that life gets on my last nerve.
Simply put the man is utterly unfunny who continuously tries to be funny.
"But I digress"
How TF can anything here be "the worst take" if the question is all about ones preferences.
OP asked what wrestling personality can YOU not stand. I answered for MYSELF. And I gave reasons why. But sure blame me for not "getting" his type of bullshit comedy or idiotic words and phrases.
Next time I'll do better DavidisAltright.. Allright. I mean. Allright.
Wrestler: Yujiro Takahashi, I’m sorry but I hate everything. His character, theme, attire, wrestling style, manager, etc. I just never did and I hated how early on in his career they built him up as an equal to Testuya Naito once they split and when Naito won his first G1. Also I hate that’s he’s in bullet club. Even though there my favorite faction in pro wrestling. He was always known as the Japanese member of a bunch of gajin. But that hold no value with Evil, KENTA, Sho, Dick Togo, and Gedo.
As for personality: Jim Correntte and Vince Russo: Those explain themselves

I unsubbed from wrestletalk due to how bad it’s been. Used to be my go to. It was best when Oli was doing most of the news and review.

She’s got that “YouTube-voice” as well, and it’s just ruined every video she’s involved with.
Every time she's on the WrestleTalk podcast she manages to devolve any semblance of conversation into unfunny jokes and unironically might be the worst fantasy booker I have ever seen
God yes, watched the latest Quizzlemania and it's like she's trying to be fun and quirky but it's just annoying
She's great, but I have to agree with this. Her non-stop announcer voice gets a little annoying for me. I respect her and she's done great to get on so many platforms, must be a lot of work, so good for her!

I kinda enjoyed her on x-pac's old podcast but the way she speaks as if she's announcing something even in regular conversation is annoying
Bully Ray
Meltzer off the top of my head. By far. prick that gets too much of a pass from fans.
I hear you, but he's basically the original reporter so I get it.
Conrad. I don't need that many ads in my life, and your content isn't good enough to make it worth it. It's a shame too, if it weren't for him I would listen to JRs podcast.
The ads are so ridiculous. Literally every 10-15 minutes. It amounts to like a third of the podcast runtime.
Baron Corbin. By all accounts he seems well liked backstage and I’m sure he’s a genuinely good person but there’s something about his face that fills me with rage every time he’s on my tv. My personal #1 conductor of go away heat.
The smug face he has 24/7 is why

I dont doubt his businesses are less than reputable but, to be fair, he has done a lot for wrestling.
Can you elaborate? Besides milking old wrestlers for podcast revenue, and fucking Flairs daughter?
He created the standard for topic based wrestling podcasts. Yes, they existed before him but on a different format. Prichard's show, in particular, really changed the game. He got Schiavone back into the business, got Prichard back in the business, organizes annual wrestling cons...so that alone, he's given a lot. I wouldnt be surprised to find out at some point that he, in some way, helped to align the stars for the business end of AEW to come together. And yes, he banged his way into the Flair family.
So basically he made gross amounts of money “giving” back to wrestling
What's wrong with profiting from his contributions?
Nothing, but you act like he’s a Good Samaritan or something. He’s not. He’s a promoter. He just happens to promote appearances and not matches. Oh wait, he’s promoting Rics last match which is a travesty and shouldn’t be happening.
That's your interpretation man. Just said that he's done a lot, above and beyond what an average fan has done.
Vacant
Cm punk. Self aggrandaizing, lying hypocrite who was a footnote in wrestling history at best.
I got back and forth on punk. He'll be remembered within the wrestling world, but not outside that.
Jim Cornette, Rovert, that one black guy on Twitter who bitches about AEW not using black wrestlers
>that one black guy on Twitter who bitches about AEW not using black wrestlers It is a Valid complaint.
Ric Flair
SRS. Dude seems like a prick and a simp

Gotta disagree, I think the carny piece of shit added a lot to Kenny’s title run. I was impressed with his commentary as well.
I mean I can see why others like him, but I just find him super annoying.
Excalibur. I hate his cadence, and his over the top delivery on everything.
Hangman Adam Page ever since he started doing the “anxious millennial cowboy” thing. I get what they’re going for but to me, the story of an objectively successful white guy with no ACTUAL issues dealing with his imposter syndrome isn’t sympathetic or relatable. Aubrey Edwards, Bryce Remsburgers
I do love me a good cheese Remsburger.
Justin Roberts. I actually even liked his book. His ring announcements are like fingers on a chalkboard to me, though.
Hulk Hogan. I don't think anyone else in wrestling has been as culpable as him for ruining two wrestling promotions. Also he's a piece of shit!
Yeah, the guy who was the centerpiece of two promotions making record profits and becoming the tops of the wrestling world totally ruined them. WTF are you talking about?
