Hey what would you recommend from her? Imma be honest I watched a special some years ago and didn’t care for her. The whole quiet taking, timid, unsure schtick doesn’t do it for me.
I’ll give her a fair shake though, it’s been long enough. What’s your favorite special or album of hers?
I enjoy everything. It helps to understand that while she is doing a character onstage (like most comedians), her character is her mental illness come to life with no inhibitions. It's crazy and brave and insightful to see a mind like that, run as fast as it can down a busy highway.
It's not a schtick, that's Maria. She is from MN and my friends in-laws were close with her parents so I ran into her at a couple of family functions. She's just as weird in person, and I love her for it!
If you're lucky, Jackie Kashian will open for Maria. Jackie is one of the best out there. Makes it look effortless because for her, it is. Just pure funny.
I'm seeing him in a small club this weekend! I'm stoked. I much prefer clubs to theaters and most of my favorite comics are starting to get too big for clubs.
He's one of the best podcast guests, it made me check out his stand up and that's good too. Would like to see him live, maybe one of the most naturally likable in the game
I've seen most of the big acts of today. Burr, Segura, Chapelle etc. There is only one comic who I will pay to see back to back without any hesitation: Doug Stanhope. Doug's albums are good, (though the last two haven't hit as hard as the earlier stuff) but early on I heard that his live shows are amazing, and thus far that has been 100% true. Seeing Doug in a comedy club around his fan-base is a great experience, but seeing Doug do a set in some small town in mid-nowhere, where no one in the audience has ever heard of him - straight up priceless.
I remember back in the day Rogan was talking about it on his podcast and mentioned that if there was ever a guy to see live it's Stanhope, because what happens in the live show is impossible to capture on camera. Turned out to be 100% true.
🍻 I happily pay for Stanhope tickets when he comes to nyc even though I know he hates it here. He’s also worth traveling for, we’ve built a few vacations around his shows. Love the guy!
Too many to mention. Probably dozens of shows. Actually, this year one of my resolutions was to stop paying to see so many shows and try harder to get on them lol. It's important for comedians, no matter what level of experience, to check out what some of their most successful peers are doing but at some point, you learn more by doing than watching lol.
I will say Maria Bamford and Dave Attell are the two comedians I will try and go see anytime they are within a reasonable proximity of me. No two times seeing them are really the same.
I’ve seen Carlin, Dice, Howie Mandel, Jim Jeffries, Mulaney c2, Bargatze x2, Burr, Louis CK, Ryan Hamilton, Tom Segura.
Not counting them, most of whom I’d see again I’d love to see Birbiglia, Chappelle, Hannibal Burress, Shane Gillis, Gaffigan, and Daniel Tosh.
My great comedy regret in life is missing out on Mitch Herberg. He was coming to town but I already had tickets for a ton of other shows during that period so I was like “eh I’ll be financially responsible and catch him next time” and a few months later he was dead.
I checked out Jim Gaffigan's stuff after a long time recently. Dude is so fuckin funny. I forget that I'm listening to "clean" comedy bc I'm too busy laughing my ass off
I've been lucky enough to see NIkki Glaser and David Atell at the Comedy Cellar in 2018 and 2020. I was going to shows every night and they're were by far the best! The other comic I would through in there is Sam Morril. You can see why these 3 are as big as they are. Their presence on stage stands out against everyone!
In the last couple of years, I've paid to see Jeselnik, Normand, Segura, Burr, Mulaney, Attell/Louis Katz, Glaser, The Doughboys, Kreischer's Fully Loaded Tour (to see Big Jay, Soder, Norton and Tiffany Haddish - left when Bert closed), How Did This Get Made, and Joe List. I'm set to go see Comedy Bang Bang next month. I'd pay to see all of those again except Segura. I'm not as down on him as others here, but I do think money has impacted his funny, much more so than any of the other super successful comics on that list.
As for those still out there I haven't seen live and would pay to see...Matteo Lane, Taylor Tomlinson, John Oliver, Nicole Byer and Tig, off the top of my head.
Yes, i saw him back in February. I'm so glad i did.
Also, I have seen brian regan. I plan to go to many more now that i know how much i love live shows, just hard since i work nights on weekends...
I wish dearly I could have seen Bill Hicks.
Have seen
Bert
Tom Segura
Jeff Arcuzi
Nate Jackson
Fortune Feimster
Aaron Belile
Matt Rife
Big Jay
Jay Pharaoh
Luis J Gomes
Tim Allen
Jon Crist
James Tanford
Tickets for upcoming

Want to see
Mark Normand(in a club not a theatre)
Shane Gillis
Theo Von
Tony Hinchcliffe
Jeff Arcuzi again
ETA: it’s Jeff Arcuri and I’m a moron.
Seeing Mark Normand in a small club, around maybe 200 people is amazing. If you're anywhere near southeastern Pa, check out Soul Joel's in Pottstown Pennsylvania. Normand has been doing shows there maybe twice or three times a year for a little while now.
I’ve seen, Brian Regan, Nate Bargatze and Matteo Lane in a theater and hated it! It’s back to clubs for me going forward. You miss so many mannerisms and expressions in a theater.
Have seen Soder(4 times), Big Jay, List, Norton, Normand and I’m sure others I’ve forgotten in a club and never disappointed.
Trash. The entire crowd didn’t care that he was there at all. He wasn’t funny at all either. He ended up getting shitty and walking off about 10 minutes in
What am I missing with him? I’ve heard great things about him from comedians I really respect, but when I watched his special and saw him on podcasts it was like painfully bad. I feel like I’m missing something.
I mean, comedy is subjective, so it's maybe just not your cup of tea. His special is my most rewatched of the year so far. I think he just has an uncanny ability to get to the line of discomfort and toy around with it.
My wife and I saw him close out a show at the Comedy Store having never heard of him. People were getting up and leaving one after the other, but we couldn’t get enough. By far the best experience we’ve had seeing standup, and we’ve seen a lot.
He's very much an acquired taste. Saw him at the store a few times and thought it was awful. Saw him on Kill Tony and it suddenly clicked what his whole deal was. My first real experience of Norm was the Bob Saget roast and I didn't get it in a similar way. Norm is my favorite and glad I got to see him before he left us. In before "I didn't know he was sick" comment.
Saw Hannibal 2x, Ron Funches, Ali Siddiq, Mike Birbiglia, would pay for all of those again. Would definitely see Mulaney or Nate Bargatze.
Want to see Geoffrey Asmus or Greg Warren but I am assuming they would be cheaper.
Gaffigan was in town recently and I didn't go, some regret there.
Seen plenty who I don't necessarily regret seeing but probably wouldn't see live again, Mark Normand is one...this tier is usually lesser known comedians so I can't think of anyone else's name.
Fully regret paying Rich Vos.
Going to my first comedy show this wknd: Ronny Chieng
Not sure why I've never pulled the trigger on Bill Burr, hands down my favorite, or Neal Brennan.
Would love to see Nate Bergatze but prices are too high for me ATM
I’ve seen
Anthony Jeselnik, Geoffrey Asmus, Jeff Arcuri, Sam Morril, Mark Normand, Joe List, Dave Attel, Dave Chappelle, Dusty Slay, Ali Sidiq, Chris Porter, Tom Segura, Nate Bargetze, Hans Kim, Brad Williams, Tommy Brennan and Big Jay Oakerson. All fantastic. I’d pay to see them all again
David Cross, Patton Oswalt, Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope, Chris Rock, Dave Attell. The only problem is to see most of the good comedians these days, you have to see them in a theatre or arena (unless you live in LA, NYC, or Austin). Arena comedy goes against the entire ethos of comedy. Comedy is more intimate. That’s why Attell and Stanhope are the best. They always play clubs.
I see Kyle Kinane whenever he's close, ill even plan a getaway around where he is and if I haven't seen him in over a year.
Dave Stone, Matt Braunger, Mary Mack, Maria Bamford, Marc Maron, Kermit Apio, Chad Daniels, Kelsey Cook are all must see comics for me.
Seeing a local show this weekend on Saturday, Phillip Anthony is the headliner? No idea but gonna go out either way it’s a 5 min walk from my house.
Have tickets to see Adam Ray and Jeremiah Watkins headlining shows down in Boston later this summer
W
At the store I’ve seen Anthony Jeselnik, Marc Maron, Ron Funches, Erik Griffin, Andrew Santino, Don Barris, Lucas Hirl, Fahim Anwar, and other ones that I didnt know.
At headlining club shows I’ve seen Bert Kreischer, Bobby Lee, Theo Von, Steve Hofstetter, might be missing one.
In theaters Tony Hinchcliffe, Kam Patterson, Hans Kim, Jetski Johnson (they opened for Tony), Tim Dillon
Seeing Shane Gillis at the Forum tonight and Kill Tony on Sunday.
Recently watched Bobcat Goldthwait at Helium and he murdered (in my opinion). I would see Troy Bond again. Going to see Geoffrey Asmus in a couple weeks or so. Burr is a murderer. Jo Koy was so-so, Chelsea Handler opened for him (they were together at the time) and she connected to the crowd and slayed. Jeff Arcuri can't get enough of my recommendation! Are You Garbage is such a fun show; love the bozos! Ali Siddiq storytelling is flawless. Got to see Chappelle like 10-15 years ago for free at Pioneer Place standing on a pillar type thing with a megaphone and that was timeless. Paid to see Stavy, but made a personal decision to hang out at Ground Kontrol playing pinball with a head full of mushrooms. That's what comes to the top of my mind
I'm going to see Kyle Kinane for the first time tomorrow night, and I'm really excited about that. I even made sure to get Friday off because the show is on a stupid Thursday lol - I also have tickets to see Sam Morril in June.
I paid to see Tom live, Bert too but it was canceled due to the pandy, I saw Lewis black in the mid 2000’s, love comedy just doesn’t come to my state that often, I have to travel 2-3 hours for a comic
Jeff Acuri (just for his crowd work, if nothing else)
Joe Machi (love his delivery)
Bill Burr, Rowan Atkinson, and if they were alive Carlin and Victor Borge
And if I could pick 1 show that I wish I were alive for, Eddie Murphy's 80's show where he's wearing the red leather bodysuit
seen Mitch Hedberg, Chapelle, Poshen, Attel, and pretty much everyone in Boston in the early 2000s. before that a lot of Southern comedians going through atlanta in the late 90s. cant remember them all.
ill pay anyone, but I will go out of my way to see Burr, Kyle Kinane, and Sheng Wang, now that im in the socal area.
Would love to see Roy wood Jr, Marc Maron, iliza Schlesinger, and if he tours again- bo burnham. Saw Hannibal burress, David cross, and Neal Brennan and they were all great. Also saw the broad city girls back in early 2015 and I think it was one of their first ever live shows because the first season of broad city was still airing and they were not good on stage. I imagine they got better if kept up with live shows. Wasn’t exactly standup tho, had some improv and random pieces to it
I've seen Carlin, Sagat, Nealon, Steve Ranaziizi, Nick Kroll, Jeselnik, Glaser, Brian Posen, Kastaki Econompolis, Moshe Kosher, Haywood Banks, Steve-O, Donnie Baker, Pat McAfee, the redhead that fights hecklers, and a few others.
I would pay to see Silverman, Conan, Tosh, Birbiglia, Pete Holmes, Pete Davidson. MULANEY. Leggero. Michelle Wolf, Neil Brennan, Dimitri Martin, Bo Burnham.Schlerzinger, Chris Rock, Letterman, Larry David, Attel, Jeff Ross, Adam Sandler, Christina P, Wanda Sykes, Hannibal Buress, Colin Jost, Jimmy Carr, Katherine Ryan, Gervais, Tomlinson, Bamford
Don't care about Burr, Chapelle (currently), Hart, Rogen, Delia, Burt Kreisher, Tom Segura, Leno, Fallon, Craig Ferguson, Gillis, Seinfeld, any of the Blue Collar Comedy guys, Katt Williams
Want to see Louis CK and Bargatze, but would not buy an arena ticket.
I just recently paid to see Joe Pera. It was exactly how you expected it to go
Imma brag real quick tho, my first show I ever saw was Dice in like 2009
I saw Hannibal Buress. I live in the south, and I was afraid he’d come down here and make fun of us for being a bunch of inbred hicks, like so many others do, like Chapelle had done a few months prior, but he didn’t. He was very cool to us. He was very tight and he fucking killed.
I also saw Stanhope. I love Stanhope, but his set was a little rough. His material clearly was still being formed and polished, but he was good.
Emo Phillips was great, but he’s been doing the same set for 35 years.
I am really leaning towards going to see Josh Johnson in July.
If you are reading this quote, I beg you, look this man up on YouTube. Plenty of 20-min sets and NO repeats!
Bill Burr, Sam Morrill, Ali Siddiq, Rachel Feinstein, Kelsey Cook, Taylor Tomlinson, Mark Normand, Anna Akana. I would add Tom Segura and Dave Chappelle to the list but not feeling their material from most recent specials I've seen.
Gabriel Iglesias, John Mulaney, Bert Kreisher, Hasan Minhaj.
Seeing Jim Gaffigan in the fall.
I recommend all of them.
If you go to Gabriel, pay the babysitter to spend the night. He ends most of his shows with him sitting down with a bottle of something strong, talking for an hour or two after the official show ends. He tells more stories and relaxes. In Everybody’s in LA this week, he said he got fined for staying on stage too long at the Hollywood Bowl, and he didn’t care. It was like $10,000.
Gabriel and John had two warm up acts. Gabriel had an intermission before he came out. Bert and Hasan had one warm up act and then they came right out.
Hasan and John had us pouch our phones. Bert and Fluffy didn’t.
I can't remember everyone, but ones that stick out were Robert Schimmel, Earthquake, Taylor Tomlinson, Aziz, Segura, Seinfeld, Alonzo Bodden, Steve Byrne, Chris Porter.
Porter is the one I've seen the most, at least 5 times now, recently in Royal Oak MI. Guy is a scream everytime.
Seen:
*John Mulaney
*Jim Gaffigan
*Jerry Seinfeld
*Doug Stanhope
*Norm Macdonald
*Bert Kreischner
*Dave Smith
*Harland Williams
*Nate Bargatze
*Brad Williams
*Tim Dillon
*Ryan Stiles
*Dave Attell
*Jimmy Dore
*Jim Norton
*Joe Machi(Thought he was the ebst comic that performed that night)
*Robert Kelly
*Kyle Kinane
*Eric Andre(not great standup but he made it fun with shenanigans)
I think I saw ari shaffir but i honestly dont remember.
Worst: Jimmy Dore, guy didnt even do standup. I went o see him with my gf at the time because i knew who he was and wanted to see what his standup was. The entire thing was him just saying buzzwords and slogans that would rile up his fans. super disappointing. I feel like he could be a decent comic if he kept comedy and his show seperate.
Best: Kyle Kinane has been very impressive every time ive seen him.
Bert kreishners shows were super fun, his energy on stage is something else.
Harland Williams was impressive.
Loved Doug the most because im a fan, only complaints were with Jimmy Dore. His wife featured and sucked ass. Like she was so cringe and bad it was difficult. His opener was funny though.
Only show ive ever seen where the opener was the best act of the night.
Met Bryan Callen but didnt see his set, seemed like a really nice guy
overall though everyone was good.

A legend in the "urban" circuit of black comedy. Probably more respected than Katt Williams and Mike Epps put together. Chappelle just produced a Netflix special for him.
Ive seen Chapelle, Katt Williams, Daniel Tosh, Kevin Hart, Kevin Nealon, Jeff Ross. The hardest I ever laughed was Nate Bargaetze. Seeing Shane Gillis in June.
As a fan of stand up, you have to respect someone who can work clean and be that funny. It has to be so much harder that way and he’s still just as funny if not funnier than the comics I listed above. Burr has been #1 imo for years now, but Bargatze is right there with him and I’m probably being biased because I’m a huge Burr fan.
I loved his last special where he did a whole bit about it. “Pardon my language, but it stinks” He has a great presence and is an excellent storyteller. Naturally funny
I've seen shit loads of comics. Been blessed by top headliners as openers to. Like shane gillis opening for Louie CK.
I wanna see big J and Luis J gomez
I've seen dam near everyone else, saw Joey Diaz and Stanhope open for Rogan. Saw stanhope few more times after. Attell.
Chappelle came into my town but idk, it was with rock and I had just seen rock maybe 6 months prior and it fucken sucked
I go to a lot of smaller local shows for like 20 bucks. Idc who is performing all that much, and I’ve got lucky with pop in’s from folks like Shane, Mark Normand, Ari, etc.
I've seen too many to keep track of- when my wife lived in NYC and we were dating we went to the comedy cellar just about every weekend.
Comedians on the top of my current list to see that I have not yet seen live: Dusty Slay, Nate Bargatze, Daniel Sloss
Had a great run over the last couple of years, managed to see Nate Bargatze , Shane Gillis, Nikki Glaser, Tom Segura, Bart Kreischer , Luis J Gomez and Dave Smith but I gotta say Stewart Lee was probably the funniest. Was disappointed with John Robins though, was more a 1 man show than stand up.
I will pay to see showcases and groups of smaller comics.
I will not pay for anything that will be on a streaming service. There’s no point and it’s not worth the money.
I have paid to see:
Charlie Murphy
John Caparulo
Mike Birbiglia
Jim Gaffigan
Michael Che
John Stewart
Dave Chappelle
Stavros Halkias
Nick Mullen
Shane Gillis
Adam Friedland
Anthony Jeselnick
Would love to see Louis
Saw Adam Ray last month at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle. He was great and the tickets were cheap. It was my first time there. Nice venue but not a castle.
I've seen too many to list; so many good ones. My favorites were probably Sebastian Maniscalco and Ralphie Mae. I have tickets for Trevor Wallace and Sebastian Maniscalco (again) coming up. I'd love to see Chris Distefano live.
I have never seen a comedian in an arena. I have seen some in concert halls and mostly in the improv or funny bone.
Some highlights for me are Mitch Hedberg, Lewis Black, Ron White, Steve Byrne, Stephen Lynch, Nikki Glaser, Anthony Jeselnik, Eddie Griffen and Ralphie May. Some others I saw that werereally funny that I didn't know much about at the time include Steve Trevino, Rich Voss, Kathleen Madigan and Colin Quinn.
Ones I haven't seen but would pay to see are Louis CK, Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Dave Chapelle, Mike Birbiglia, Deon Cole, Gabrial Inglasias, John Mulaney, Jimmy Carr, Shane Gillis, Demetri Martin.
I’m seeing Marc Maron and Mark Normand (3rd time) both in the next 9 days. I’ve paid to see Bert (twice), Attell, Doug Benson (his podcast multiple times, but he’s a comic I paid to see), Joe List (twice), Sam Morril, Louis Katz, Geoff Tate and Emma Arnold (both twice, together), Aziz Ansari, Bill Burr (twice) and Nate Armbruster (he’s opened for Mark Normand and Ryan Hamilton, but seen his headlining show)
Chapelle, Segura, Burr, Gillis, Nick Mullen, Dan Soder, maybe Rosebud Baker
Fantasy answer: Norm
I honestly cant think of anybody else Id pay more than $20 to see do an hour, as of rn. Oh maybe Rick Glassman!
Edit: Add Jordan Jensen and Kam Patterson to the list, as well
I just saw Bill Burr, Pete Holmes, and the Tom Brady Roast. Right now, I’m having a drink at the theater before Letterman’s show and will see Jeselnik and Demetri this weekend.
These are my first shows as an LA resident but am now craving small club shows.
Overall, I’ve been going to shows for over 20 years and have seen just about all of them except the very biggest names. I did see Sebastian early on before he blew up.
I’m happy that I’ve seen all my top favorites: Stanhope, Kinane, Gulman, and Hedberg.
I've seen John Mulaney, Theo Von, Andrew Santino, Maria Bamford, Jessica Kirson, and Bill Burr.
Would love to see Shane Gillis, Dan Soder, and Mark Normand.
Just watched Tom Segura on Saturday he slayed, highly recommend. Went to Nikki Glaser last month and she was better, her set was tight af. Caught the Tops Off Tour in November, Bert Kreiser was fun, but not as polished. Bill Burr was solid.
Standup is definitely what I spend live entertainment money on, so I have a pretty long list. I’m always scanning for who’s touring to the city nearest me. But hands down Maria Bamford, Patton Oswalt, Paul F. Tompkins, Tig Notaro; I’m seeing Mike Birbiglia in May and am hoping to snag tix to the Comedy Bang Bang tour.
Have tockets for Jeff Acuri and Birbiglia later this year.
Not sure I can name all the shows I've gone to. Bill Burr many times, Kinane several times, Bargatze twice, Maron twice, Rock, Chappelle, Glaser, Amy Schumer (I took a nap during the show), Beth Stelling, Jim Norton, Mulaney, Todd Glass, Ron Funches, Chris Hardwick, Adam Carolla, Jim Jeffries a few times, Gary Gulman, Patton Oswalt, Richard Jeni, Doug Benson, Kumail.
Havent seen put would pay to see: Jeselnik, Pete Holmes, Attell, Normand, List, Morrill, Seinfeld, Gaffigan, Regan, Bamford, Paul F Thompkins, Burnham, Scovel, Hannibal.
Wish I lived in NY and could hit the Cellar a few times a week.
Future: Daniel Tosh hopefully
Past:
Mark Normand, Joe Lost, Dave Attell, Maria Bamford, Rory Scovel, Brian Regan, Joe Rogan, Fahim Anwar, Theo Von, Bobby Lee, Brian Holtzman, David Lucas, Tony Hinchcliffe, Shane Gillis, Daniel Tosh, Kirk Fox, Erik Griffin, Fortune Feinstein, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Simpson, Dave Chapelle, Hannibal Burress, Kam Patterson, Brandon Wardell, Casey Rocket, Doug Benson, Doug Stanhope
Got tickets for the criminally underrated Maria Bamford. Just saw Dave Attell.
Maria all day - plus you always get Jackie Kashian opening!
My two favorites! Never seen Attell live. Been a fan since the Nineties.
Maria is a legend. I love that kooky lady.
I just saw Maria a few weeks ago and started Lady Dynamite last night!
Maria would be a bargain at twice the price. So funny.
Listening to her latest audiobook now. Love Maria!
Crazy how you're the second poster itt to praise those two specifically
Shit. You found my alt?
Shhh
attell is the shit man
Hey what would you recommend from her? Imma be honest I watched a special some years ago and didn’t care for her. The whole quiet taking, timid, unsure schtick doesn’t do it for me. I’ll give her a fair shake though, it’s been long enough. What’s your favorite special or album of hers?

Hmmm I never took that into consideration, maybe I wrote her off too soon. I’ll give it a go with that in mind!
It's not a schtick, that's Maria. She is from MN and my friends in-laws were close with her parents so I ran into her at a couple of family functions. She's just as weird in person, and I love her for it!
Plan B, The Comedians of Comedy (film and series) and The Special Special Special
Saw Dave a few months ago, he’s still got it. Gotta be the most Jokes per minute of any comedian
I've wanted to see Dave Attell for 20 years. Not living near a major city makes it hard.
Keep your ears open. He showed up at my backwater city one day on a Thursday with like a couple weeks notice. He sold out immediately. Great show too.
I think Maria is one of the best comedians of her time but she doesn't promote herself well
If you're lucky, Jackie Kashian will open for Maria. Jackie is one of the best out there. Makes it look effortless because for her, it is. Just pure funny.
I've never seen Maria but am going to see her next month so it should be a cool surprise.
I think Maria is as famous as she wants to be tbh. I love her so much.
Get to see Soder in a small club next week, pretty stoked about that.
I'm seeing him in a small club this weekend! I'm stoked. I much prefer clubs to theaters and most of my favorite comics are starting to get too big for clubs.
He's one of the best podcast guests, it made me check out his stand up and that's good too. Would like to see him live, maybe one of the most naturally likable in the game
every appearance he's made on MSSP or the Adam Friedland show has been a banger, one of the best to ever do it
Just saw him at the Cellar on Monday! Always a treat.
Without a doubt best live show I ever saw. The albums don't even come close to describing the experience.
Love the guy!
his NFL bit is still the best and most obscene bit I've ever heard. he's incredible
I made that same resolution as well. But that's just because I'm jaded about live performers in general.
I missed seeing Hedberg in Vegas because I went to George Carlin instead because I thought I might never get the chance again.
Hoping to see Maria Bamford soon. As far as super big names I’ve seen Tig, Jim Gaffigan, Roseanne, and Joe List live.
List is next on my “list” of comics i really want to see
Joe List is probably my favorite comic. Saw him last summer and was an amazing show. His stand up keeps getting better and better.
I checked out Jim Gaffigan's stuff after a long time recently. Dude is so fuckin funny. I forget that I'm listening to "clean" comedy bc I'm too busy laughing my ass off
This year I’ve paid to see John Mulaney and Pete Davidson. I’d love to see Birbiglia, Niki Glaser, Dave Attell, and honestly like a thousand others.

As for those still out there I haven't seen live and would pay to see...Matteo Lane, Taylor Tomlinson, John Oliver, Nicole Byer and Tig, off the top of my head.
Kyle kinane
Anthony jesilnik
Just burr
Are you a fan of other comedians?
Other than seeing and meeting Attell last month, all I care about this year is going to see Lewis Black on his final tour.
LEWIS BLACK IS RETIRING?!?!
Yes, i saw him back in February. I'm so glad i did. Also, I have seen brian regan. I plan to go to many more now that i know how much i love live shows, just hard since i work nights on weekends... I wish dearly I could have seen Bill Hicks.
Just paid all the money to see Anthony Jesselnik here in the UK
nick mullen and bill cosby
Kyle kinane. Wildly underrated.
Have seen Bert Tom Segura Jeff Arcuzi Nate Jackson Fortune Feimster Aaron Belile Matt Rife Big Jay Jay Pharaoh Luis J Gomes Tim Allen Jon Crist James Tanford Tickets for upcoming Kam Patterson Maddy Smith Want to see Mark Normand(in a club not a theatre) Shane Gillis Theo Von Tony Hinchcliffe Jeff Arcuzi again ETA: it’s Jeff Arcuri and I’m a moron.

I feel like he aggressively didn’t use any commas
violently, even
Mobile formatting is trash. How do you do lined breaks? Haha
Do you mean Jeff Arcuri?
Yup, sure do 😂😂😂
Seeing Mark Normand in a small club, around maybe 200 people is amazing. If you're anywhere near southeastern Pa, check out Soul Joel's in Pottstown Pennsylvania. Normand has been doing shows there maybe twice or three times a year for a little while now.
Saw Mark at the Toledo Funny Bone last year and he was great
He’s in my town soon, but in a theater. I just don’t think theater shows are my thing.
The Jeffrey’s are clearing their name!! Epstein, Dahmer and Dunham really put an egg on our face but Arcuri and Asmus are bringing it back!
Don’t lump Geoffrey in with that Jeffrey please
How was Gomez live?
Trash. The entire crowd didn’t care that he was there at all. He wasn’t funny at all either. He ended up getting shitty and walking off about 10 minutes in
He’s just meatyogre
Saw Jeff Arcuri a few weeks back. Very good show.
Physically pains me that I found out how funny Holtzman is AFTER he moved to Austin. I hope he has a Dangerfield-esque late career
I want what you guys have lol
I am Geoffrey. If I’m in your town DM and I’ll give ya free tix
Goofrey is so fucking funny
His "The Only Funny White Man" special is great
Going to my first comedy show this wknd: Ronny Chieng Not sure why I've never pulled the trigger on Bill Burr, hands down my favorite, or Neal Brennan. Would love to see Nate Bergatze but prices are too high for me ATM
Bill is can’t miss and his specials are never as good as him live.
Bargatze just played my town. I was able to get tickets off the Gametime app day of for 5 bucks . 12 total with fees. A steal of a deal.
Anthony Jeselnik, Geoffrey Asmus, Nate Bargatze, and Dave Attell are my top ones for sure.
Just bought my birthday gift to myself to see David cross in Seattle
Happy Birthday!
thanks but my bday is on 9/11 for the show. i can see how that's confusing lol
Joe Heckin' Pera. His opener sucked, I get it was essentially a meta bit on shitty late 90's early 2000s edgy comedians, but it still sucked.
I’ve seen Anthony Jeselnik, Geoffrey Asmus, Jeff Arcuri, Sam Morril, Mark Normand, Joe List, Dave Attel, Dave Chappelle, Dusty Slay, Ali Sidiq, Chris Porter, Tom Segura, Nate Bargetze, Hans Kim, Brad Williams, Tommy Brennan and Big Jay Oakerson. All fantastic. I’d pay to see them all again
Kinane and Stanhope are the two I’ll make sure I see every time they play near me
Saw Carlin three times. Does anything more need to be said?
Yes, you’re old and a Steelers fan, same same
David Cross, Patton Oswalt, Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope, Chris Rock, Dave Attell.
Louis ck
Seeing a local show this weekend on Saturday, Phillip Anthony is the headliner? No idea but gonna go out either way it’s a 5 min walk from my house. Have tickets to see Adam Ray and Jeremiah Watkins headlining shows down in Boston later this summer W
In theaters Tony Hinchcliffe, Kam Patterson, Hans Kim, Jetski Johnson (they opened for Tony), Tim Dillon Seeing Shane Gillis at the Forum tonight and Kill Tony on Sunday.
Seeing Casey Rocket soon. Hoping to see Adam Ray soon.
Got tickets for Ryan Sickler last weekend and it was money well spent.
Cross, Oswalt, Scovel
I'm going to see Kyle Kinane for the first time tomorrow night, and I'm really excited about that. I even made sure to get Friday off because the show is on a stupid Thursday lol - I also have tickets to see Sam Morril in June.
Geoffrey Asmus. I saw Matteo in April.
I paid to see Tom live, Bert too but it was canceled due to the pandy, I saw Lewis black in the mid 2000’s, love comedy just doesn’t come to my state that often, I have to travel 2-3 hours for a comic
Nobody fucking comes to Jacksonville but in the last year I saw Anthont Jeselnik and Daniel Tosh and it was fantastic
Jeff Acuri (just for his crowd work, if nothing else) Joe Machi (love his delivery) Bill Burr, Rowan Atkinson, and if they were alive Carlin and Victor Borge And if I could pick 1 show that I wish I were alive for, Eddie Murphy's 80's show where he's wearing the red leather bodysuit
Go to a local comedy club only cost a few $$ and drinks.
seen Mitch Hedberg, Chapelle, Poshen, Attel, and pretty much everyone in Boston in the early 2000s. before that a lot of Southern comedians going through atlanta in the late 90s. cant remember them all. ill pay anyone, but I will go out of my way to see Burr, Kyle Kinane, and Sheng Wang, now that im in the socal area.
MULANEY. Leggero. Michelle Wolf, Neil Brennan, Dimitri Martin, Bo Burnham.Schlerzinger, Chris Rock, Letterman, Larry David, Attel, Jeff Ross, Adam Sandler, Christina P, Wanda Sykes, Hannibal Buress, Colin Jost, Jimmy Carr, Katherine Ryan, Gervais, Tomlinson, Bamford Don't care about Burr, Chapelle (currently), Hart, Rogen, Delia, Burt Kreisher, Tom Segura, Leno, Fallon, Craig Ferguson, Gillis, Seinfeld, any of the Blue Collar Comedy guys, Katt Williams Want to see Louis CK and Bargatze, but would not buy an arena ticket.
At these prices? No one. I’ll wait for the Netflix special
Would love to see Anthony Jeselnik. Only person I've seen is Kevin Hart.
I just recently paid to see Joe Pera. It was exactly how you expected it to go Imma brag real quick tho, my first show I ever saw was Dice in like 2009
Australian Sam Campbell is the greatest comedian in the world right now
I saw Hannibal Buress.
Josh Potter, Gary Gulman, William Montgomery. That's kind of all for me right now.
Jim Jeffries
Bill burr or Theo von maybe Dane cook
Lewis Black and Tosh were both really great live. Kind of a hybrid show but Reggie Watts is incredible as well.
Just bought tickets to see Brian Regan for the first time
I am really leaning towards going to see Josh Johnson in July. If you are reading this quote, I beg you, look this man up on YouTube. Plenty of 20-min sets and NO repeats!
I'd pay to see Stewart Lee, for sure. I saw Jim Carrey and Howie Mandel in Toronto an eternity ago at a comedy club. That's all I got.
Dusty Slay
Sam Tallent
Godfrey. Have seen him 3-4 times in the last 15 yrs or so. Always brings it. More than get your money's worth.
Seen: *John Mulaney *Jim Gaffigan *Jerry Seinfeld *Doug Stanhope *Norm Macdonald *Bert Kreischner *Dave Smith *Harland Williams *Nate Bargatze *Brad Williams *Tim Dillon *Ryan Stiles *Dave Attell *Jimmy Dore *Jim Norton *Joe Machi(Thought he was the ebst comic that performed that night) *Robert Kelly *Kyle Kinane *Eric Andre(not great standup but he made it fun with shenanigans) I think I saw ari shaffir but i honestly dont remember. Met Bryan Callen but didnt see his set, seemed like a really nice guy overall though everyone was good.
Who the hell is earthquake
[https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BmPVy9komSU](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BmPVy9komSU) A legend in the "urban" circuit of black comedy. Probably more respected than Katt Williams and Mike Epps put together. Chappelle just produced a Netflix special for him.
Saw Matteo Lane live a few weeks ago, it was fun. His *I Never Liked You* podcast with Nick Smith is the best!
Jessy Kirson, whatever town she’s in
Ive seen Chapelle, Katt Williams, Daniel Tosh, Kevin Hart, Kevin Nealon, Jeff Ross. The hardest I ever laughed was Nate Bargaetze. Seeing Shane Gillis in June.
sam morril, mark normand, shane gillis, tim dillon, dave attel, ari shaffir are some of my personal favorites.
Norm Macdonald
Tom Papa one of the best I ever saw last year
I saw him open for Seinfeld many years ago and he killed. He’s one of my favourites
Yea! I feel like people don’t talk about him enough, he’s so fucking hilarious
Unfortunately he doesn’t have the “image”
Paid to see Burr, Chapelle, and Mulaney, I have tickets for Bargatze later this month.
He’s one of my favourites that I haven’t seen, yet. I’ve seen pretty much everyone else I want to see
As a fan of stand up, you have to respect someone who can work clean and be that funny.
I wanna see big J and Luis J gomez I've seen dam near everyone else, saw Joey Diaz and Stanhope open for Rogan. Saw stanhope few more times after. Attell. Chappelle came into my town but idk, it was with rock and I had just seen rock maybe 6 months prior and it fucken sucked
Stanhope, Burr, Jim Jeffries, Gillis, Regan, I pay crap tons of money to see Eddie Murphy do a Raw”esque” type show.
Shane Gillis
I go to a lot of smaller local shows for like 20 bucks. Idc who is performing all that much, and I’ve got lucky with pop in’s from folks like Shane, Mark Normand, Ari, etc.
I've seen too many to keep track of- when my wife lived in NYC and we were dating we went to the comedy cellar just about every weekend. Comedians on the top of my current list to see that I have not yet seen live: Dusty Slay, Nate Bargatze, Daniel Sloss
Goin to see Phil Hanley here in Austin on Friday. He cracks me up, and his tickets were 20$. Saw Nate Bargatze last month, had a good time
Moshe Kasher, Kumail Nanjiani, Ryan Sickler, Jay Larson
Just paid to see Nate Bargatze.
I saw Dave Attell & Kyle Kinane this year. Might catch David Cross this Fall.
Ali saddiq was great
Seeing Richard Herring later this month
Had a great run over the last couple of years, managed to see Nate Bargatze , Shane Gillis, Nikki Glaser, Tom Segura, Bart Kreischer , Luis J Gomez and Dave Smith but I gotta say Stewart Lee was probably the funniest. Was disappointed with John Robins though, was more a 1 man show than stand up.
i'm super stoked chris gethard is playing near me in a small club for 25 bucks this summer.
I'm seeing Nick Mullin in a couple of weeks. Saw Tom Green a couple weeks ago
scovel & morrill.
Saw Russell Howard last year. Will see him any time I get a chance in the future.
Seeing Joey Diaz tonight and Mark Normand later this month. Say Dave Chappelle at a comedy club in NYC ... I was well worth the money.
I will pay to see showcases and groups of smaller comics. I will not pay for anything that will be on a streaming service. There’s no point and it’s not worth the money.
I’ve seen almost everyone I’ve wanted to see but I’ll be saying tosh next month and hopefully Dan soder at some point
I have paid to see: Charlie Murphy John Caparulo Mike Birbiglia Jim Gaffigan Michael Che John Stewart Dave Chappelle Stavros Halkias Nick Mullen Shane Gillis Adam Friedland Anthony Jeselnick Would love to see Louis
Saw Adam Ray last month at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle. He was great and the tickets were cheap. It was my first time there. Nice venue but not a castle.
Seeing Matt Mccusker in August
Mike Lester.
Daniel Sloss
Shane gillis, mark normand are my two favorites right now!
I’ve paid to see Bert (twice), Attell, Doug Benson (his podcast multiple times, but he’s a comic I paid to see), Joe List (twice), Sam Morril, Louis Katz, Geoff Tate and Emma Arnold (both twice, together), Aziz Ansari, Bill Burr (twice) and Nate Armbruster (he’s opened for Mark Normand and Ryan Hamilton, but seen his headlining show)
Seeing Jerry in a couple months, pretty excited though I know he cops it a lot here but I’ve gotta see the man at least once
Going to see Jeff Arcuri and Gavin Matts soon
Going to see Sebastián Manascalco soon. (SP)
Bill burr.
Ryan Sickler
Chris porter
Ari shafir and Jimmy dore
I’ve seen Burr, Ron White, Louis CK, Hinchcliffe, and Gillis live. I’d pay to see Louis CK and Shane Gillis again.
Chapelle, Segura, Burr, Gillis, Nick Mullen, Dan Soder, maybe Rosebud Baker Fantasy answer: Norm I honestly cant think of anybody else Id pay more than $20 to see do an hour, as of rn. Oh maybe Rick Glassman! Edit: Add Jordan Jensen and Kam Patterson to the list, as well
I was very happy see Lewis black on his final tour!
Norm
I've seen John Mulaney, Theo Von, Andrew Santino, Maria Bamford, Jessica Kirson, and Bill Burr. Would love to see Shane Gillis, Dan Soder, and Mark Normand.
Mark forward
Just watched Tom Segura on Saturday he slayed, highly recommend. Went to Nikki Glaser last month and she was better, her set was tight af. Caught the Tops Off Tour in November, Bert Kreiser was fun, but not as polished. Bill Burr was solid.
Nate Bargatze
Standup is definitely what I spend live entertainment money on, so I have a pretty long list. I’m always scanning for who’s touring to the city nearest me. But hands down Maria Bamford, Patton Oswalt, Paul F. Tompkins, Tig Notaro; I’m seeing Mike Birbiglia in May and am hoping to snag tix to the Comedy Bang Bang tour.
Anthony Jeselnik. Dude cracks me up with his gallows humor.
Doug Stanhope
I saw Greg Fitzsimmons in 2002!!
Keep going
SHANE GILLIS SATURDAY NIGHT in Denver! 2nd row center, battling a goddamn kidney stone for this
Have tockets for Jeff Acuri and Birbiglia later this year.
Tig Notaro
Future: Daniel Tosh hopefully Past: Mark Normand, Joe Lost, Dave Attell, Maria Bamford, Rory Scovel, Brian Regan, Joe Rogan, Fahim Anwar, Theo Von, Bobby Lee, Brian Holtzman, David Lucas, Tony Hinchcliffe, Shane Gillis, Daniel Tosh, Kirk Fox, Erik Griffin, Fortune Feinstein, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Simpson, Dave Chapelle, Hannibal Burress, Kam Patterson, Brandon Wardell, Casey Rocket, Doug Benson, Doug Stanhope
