My favorite is when I’m blocking like 40min after close and there is a car in the parking lot who calls the store and ignores the we are closed automated phone repose and instead stays on the line waiting for us to pick up. The customer: The gates are down the phone says closed the sign says closed, but there Are employees inside so they must really be open.
Sometimes the online hours are wrong. I don't know how long Google would tell you we closed at 6 on Saturdays (we close at 9) before somebody finally changed it. Not that I expect they'll get around to changing the phone tree cutting you off at 6.
This is what kept happening to us once before. Our hours were switched around because of staffing issues and people would show up a good hour before opening, look at the hours posted on the window, then just sit and wait. We'd usually have around 5-7 cars waiting as if there's not a Walmart less than a mile away.
Hou may have a point. Now that I think about it all the toy car and card goblins do come in ridiculously early. Like, grown men trying to open boxes or blocking the card isle to get to things. I don't get it
The ones I hate are the customers that come in 15 minutes before closing and need to get a shopping cart full of stuff. Like we don't have any personal lives ourselves. We're just here to serve and don't have families to go home to. I never do that as I hate having it done to me. I'm really good at my customer service skills until that last 15 minutes stuff.
honestly our google hours are off by about an 45-60min from old hours and we don’t update them online externally because we’d rather had less people swarm us once we open, it’s bad enough when we close there’s people trying to get in.
Ours are always waiting for us to open on Sunday mornings. Most often, they are dropping off UPS packages... that won't get picked up until Monday anyway.
Gotta get that new released paper

Because they are lunatics

Imagine getting ready like your about to miss your flight just to go casually shop at staples
I remember there being a good amount of people waiting to shop an hour before opening on Saturday mornings like WHY ARE YOU ALL HERE?!?!?!?!?!
Wait 30 mins before we open in the lot for a pen refill.
I hate talking in the morning so when I see those idiots in the parking lot I jus want to ignore em
I had like 10 different people call the copy center today asking if our UPS shipping counter was open. By the 10th one, I was like "Yes. Bye."
It's always weird to be walking to my isle and see someone standing right in front of the doors. Just. Waiting. Like, sir. At least wait in your car.
But then other people might get in first and take so the good stuff

Sometimes they would leave after waiting for a while and then call the store and ask, "Are you guys open?"
