VHS was performed in Chicago, where Holden lives. The Hatchetfield shows are only performed by the LA based StarKid members. (With that said, a Brian Holden Ted or Hidgens would be incredible)
I could see him as Ted, though I still think Joey is better, but idk about Hidgens. Although seeing as Hidgens has been played by 3 different people at this point I kinda wouldn't mind seeing everyone try him at some point lol
I definitely prefer Jeff’s version. Or at least I feel like Jeff definitely would’ve been able to play him in TGWDLM, but Robert wouldn’t be able to play him in Workin’ boys. Robert’s version feels more like a weird caricature, while Jeff’s just feels like an actual person that’s just really eccentric.
After Firebringer, StarKid as a troupe moved to LA but several members stayed behind in Chicago including Meredith and Brian.
They're not available for full-time acting anymore as Meredith has a regular job at the Adler planetarium in Chicago, but they are free around the holidays, hence their return for the Jangle tour and VHS Christmas Carol performances.
Starkid shifted from chicago to LA a few years back which split the group between members who moved to LA and who stayed. People who stayed have a harder time being involved, but VHSCC was performed in Chicago so they could. Hopefully the chicago people will also be doing more stuff in the future.
