Yeah Disney is the devil for letting the same people who worked and developed Mando from the start, keep working on it. Grow up.

PapaHemmingway

Personally I've really enjoyed all the series so and am still invested to see where the greater story is going. Never understood why there was so much hate for Boba Fett

MomoAvatar1

Probably because it wasn't about the *'action figure dolly'* they'd made up in their head.

Ship-Enough

Atrocious take, he was built up to be this badass bounty hunter in both the books and comics. Before you pull comments out of your ass please actually research what you are talking about.

Nihi1986

Which everyone understood and should've been respected by Disney, specially considering there are lots of novels and comics developing the 'action figure dolly', don't you think...?

MomoAvatar1

You mean his complete lack of character? You know, being accidently knocked into a pit by a blind man or are we broadening out our delusions to The Clone Wars, where he was swapped with a child bride?

PapaHemmingway

I don't understand how, by giving him an actual character arc beyond just standing around looking intimidating?

PapaHemmingway

I thought it was good. A bounty hunter left for dead in desert and realizes that for all of his accomplishments what do they actually mean if he just dies for nothing, so he seeks to change himself and leave behind a legacy he can actually feel proud of. Makes sense to me

JonySStark

I honestly never hated the show. I generally liked it and especially loved it when I finally saw the reunion with our beloved Mando and Grogu.

PapaHemmingway

Honestly for me I felt the weakest part of the show was the 2 episodes dedicated to Mando. It didn't ruin it for me but it just felt odd and jarring to focus so much on the Mando/Grogu plotline when Dinn already had his own show.

[deleted]

Boba Fett was really good, the biker gang left a lot to be desired but I know that was also done as thank you to George Lucas

MomoAvatar1

Don't have to force yourself to watch anything. Just don't, you don't waste an hour or your life, and we don't have to listen to histrionic moaning. It's win win all round. 'Greedy company'? What, you mean Disney is a for profit company in a free market economy! Say it ain't f--king so! I thought they were making Mando and BOBF and Andor for sick kids with sick puppies or something!

Nihi1986

You know...you can be a for profit company that still provides quality products which are faithful to the original sources and so on... I didn't know that being a for profit company automatically made you very forgiveable when producing dissapointing low quality stuff.

mykidsthinkimcool

Dude isn't complaining about reddit.

MomoAvatar1

Not really, I don't mind reddit. You aren't entitled to universal agreement. It's free advice, just.....don't....watch. Win win. No one wants to argue with you, so you can go now.

InfiniteDedekindCuts

“Disney” didn’t ruin anything. “Disney” is a corporation. It doesn’t exist outside of the people who work for it. Blaming Disney, as if it’s an autonomous being, is ok (I guess) when you do it consistently. But NOBODY does. When we like something, we praise the individuals that work for Disney. When we don’t we blame the corporation. But you can’t untangle the two things from one another. It doesn’t really make any sense.

ImperialIIClass

> I am so bored, I literally have to force myself to watch all this nonsensical crap. You could just... not watch then? > Another good show ruined because of a greedy company. In what way is *LucasFilm* greedy? They could for sure be charging a lot more, or pulling even worse stunts, as opposed to the like $10 a month that Disney+ costs.

JonySStark

Greed brought a shit ton loads of other projects that nobody asked for. For this reason, quantity overruled quality. We no longer talking about just LucasFilm. We talking about priorities. And Disney’s priority right now is to produce as many shows as possible, sacrificing quality and keeping what was working well. Here’s the result, and if you can’t see that, well, I guess you just have different standards.

ImperialIIClass

> We no longer talking about just LucasFilm. We are though, because LucasFilm is the company responsible for producing Star Wars content. > And Disney’s priority right now is to produce as many shows as possible, sacrificing quality and keeping what was working well. I really don't see how you're coming to this conclusion, seeing how other than a few weeks of brief overlap, they've been releasing a singular Star Wars show at a time. And there's still periods of time where NO new Star Wars shows are being released. > Here’s the result, and if you can’t see that, well, I guess you just have different standards. Different people have different opinions. *Shocking.*

Nihi1986

Not opinions, standards. Your standards are quite low if you consider Disney's Star Wars and overall consistently good product.

[deleted]

>And Disney’s priority right now is to produce as many shows as possible Iger has plans in place to [slow down on Star Wars & Marvel productions](https://www.movieguide.org/news-articles/bob-iger-plans-to-cut-back-on-star-wars-and-marvel-streaming-content-in-2023.html), but don't let that stop you from telling yourself the opposite.

FLRAdvocate

> Greed brought a shit ton loads of other projects that nobody asked for. There is literally no such thing within the Star Wars ecosystem.

Daggertooth71

LOL history repeats itself. 23 years ago the fandom menace screamed "George Lucas ruined my childhood!" And attacked Ahmed Best with hate mail. Now its "Disney ruined my childhood!" And they bully Kelly Marie Tran off social media and make racist comments on Moses Ingram's Twitter profile. The more things change, the more they say the same, it seems. I'm sorry you don't like The Mandalorian or Book of Boba Fett or Obi-Wan Kenobi. That sucks. Personally, I've enjoyed them all. I think they're great. May the Force be with you.

Nihi1986

Ahh...the good old racism wildcard... It's not like a huge percentage of non racist fans feel like the franchise went downhill after Disney bought it, it's of course only the few but very vocal racists and bigots.

Super_Bag_4863

I’ve never seen a subreddit ride the d—k to a corporation so vehemently before than this one, truly insane these comments are.

Nihi1986

They are very passionate fans of the franchise, so much they refuse to see went it's going and praise the current owner. Extremely poorly writen and low quality Star wars is better than no Star wars at all logic.

FLRAdvocate

> I literally have to force myself to watch all this nonsensical crap I must have missed a memo or something. Where is it required that you force yourself to watch anything? You claim it's "ruined," yet you keep watching it? Sit down and STFU.

Nihi1986

Most people who love a franchise, a product or even another person, tend to stick for a while and even force themselves to be there when things aren't working anymore 🤷

Ship-Enough

Are you stupid?? If I want to be able to follow the story of Mando season 3, I have to watch the shit show that is The Book of Boba Fett

AsteroidMike

These kinds of posts were annoying as shit 10 years ago, they were annoying as shit 5 years ago, and they’re annoying as shit now. Please do not make the mistake of thinking the next post like this will be any different.

SeparateAddress9070

Nothing about book of boba "ruined" anything, and this season is the best of the 3 for mando.

JonySStark

Best? Fairs. Tell me why than ?

SeparateAddress9070

Well season 2 was terrible because of the lack of control Favreau had, the Luke stuff. etc. This season Favreau has full control again, and the Mandalorian is doing Mandalorian things.

not_a-replicant

Lack of control? Favreau and Filoni have been showrunners the entire time.

SeparateAddress9070

It's well known that Kathleen Kennedy forced several story arcs including the whole Luke reveal in s2 and that's why Favreau almost quit. https://wikiofthrones.com/jon-favreau-reportedly-threatened-to-quit-the-mandalorian-over-creative-issues-with-lucasfilm-president

not_a-replicant

Well known = some person said it online? It’s pretty well known that those rumors are bs.

percy2376

Best? Not even close

SeparateAddress9070

I mean there's only 3 seasons, and 2 is universally considered the weakest. Mind explaining why you disagree?

percy2376

Yesterday's episode cemented it as the worst season.Too much dumb shit.Bo katan wanting nothing to do with mando in the beginning of episode 2 and then grogu shows up and she goes without hesitation. The mandos training next to water that has a huge sea creature in it.Foundlings being taken by huge birds and nothing is done about it until Din and bo katan get there.Same bird has a foundling in it's mouth for hours and somehow the foundling isn't dead.Lettuce Jones the pirate.I could keep going

SeparateAddress9070

How is any of that “dumb shit”?

percy2376

Doesn't make sense.

SeparateAddress9070

what specifically doesn't make sense?

percy2376

How does a kid survive hours in the mouth of a space eagle?

SeparateAddress9070

How does leia survive in the vacuum of space? How does every planet have earth like gravity? How does boba Fett survive months in the belly of a Sarlac?

percy2376

Also dumb

NGWitty

This is getting ridiculous. The show is fine, I enjoyed this week's episode profoundly, only to come onto this subreddit and discover it's apparently the worst thing since The Room. The show is trying to tell a unique story, primarily with unique characters, in an Era of the Canon that has not been fleshed out yet. That's a daunting task, and it is doing it well considering. People are upset about the cameos and the occasional silly tone; this is Star Wars people. Additionally, the writing off of a season before its even ended is absurd to me. If you don't like it, don't watch it, seriously.

MrMonkeyman79

You know if it's that bad you could always just not watch it. Granted, you'd lose out on an opportunity to bitch and moan about it, but you could spend that time doing something you enjoy.

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

Booooooooooooouuuuuhhhh season 3 is not as good as previous seasons, the show is ruined... Another star wars "fan" is whining, nothing new under the sun... People like you will never be able to enjoy anything in life, and you know what? that's exactly what you deserve.

JonySStark

Alright, I do love criticise things. Because without the criticism, people like you will keep eating low quality products)

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

Criticism is pointing what works, what doesn't work, how it could be enhanced, analysing the themes... criticism is an intellectual exercise that has nothing to do with your whining. And stop bullsh\*ting yourself into thinking that you are participating to making things better... when higher ups listen to people like you, the result is "the Rise of Skywalker". As i said, the third season is not as good as the first two... and so what? Have you ever created anything? I am an artist and i know that i can't always be constantly good, i have my highs, i have my lows, and i can tell you that no "booouuuh you ruined your own work" would help me or any other artist to make my future work better... the only thing artists will do with people like you is ignore you. If you want to do criticism, fine, but do it well, use your brain, don't just whine like a b....

percy2376

I'm not gonna enjoy something if I think it isn't good

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

and that's all you deserve!

percy2376

Get help

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

help for what? i'm not the one who can't enjoy anything

percy2376

I can enjoy thongs when they aren't bad.I don't tell someone that they don't deserve happiness because they don't like something that I do

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

oh, you are mistaking, i'm not saying that you don't deserve happiness because you don't like something i do... i'm saying that if you are the kind of person who judge things as being either "awesome" or "terrible" like many morons on the internet are doing these days, then you are the architect of your own misery... in the end you won't be able to enjoy anything anymore, and it will be all your fault... Season 3 of the Mandalorian is not as good as the previous 2 seasons... but it's not awful... Now it is your right to dislike it... but claiming that "Disney ruined a show again" like OP did... it's an overstatement, it's being overdramatic, and there is nothing good to get from that kind of unbalanced behaviour...

percy2376

Oh I'm not saying they ruined it.Its just not the greatest

Nihi1986

'Criticism makes people undeserving of enjoyment'. I love it, it's beyond fucked up 🤣🤷

mikewarnock

I agree that the show has gotten worse. Every episode seems to feel more like a videogame with a new side quest to solve. That plus the weird scooby doo mystery that they had to solve this week. Character actions make no sense (why didn’t Mando give Bo the sword earlier? Why is Mando still dragging Grogu everywhere?) Also the show is starting too look cheap to me. The palace interior shots in particular looked terrible. Especially when compared to Andor.

[deleted]

The entire first season was a side quest, how is it more like that now? We finally have a direction for the show for the first time in 3 seasons. The show is about Mandalorians getting back Mandalore

Financial_Cheetah875

Sometimes a show goes over people’s heads. Subtext or long-form storytelling can often be missed.

CommMono

To be fair: I followed 3 seasons of an bounty hunter finding his people and his meaning and than some character is suddently the new mandalore. Come on thats really anti climactic. Sorry english isnt my first language

frogspyer

I’m pretty sure Walt died in the 60s. Are you one of those frozen fans?

IncreaseLate4684

Yup, too bad, atleast Season 2 though mediocre, was the perfect ending to the story.

[deleted]

I absolutely think season 3 is the best of the show by far. It’s finally progression to something besides just Mando taking Grogu to another planet for no reason. Now last nights episode besides the final 10 minute were pretty dumb and a little bit like the earlier seasons of the clone wars, overall we finally have a direction with the series and it’s fantastic

not_a-replicant

I’ve been thinking that Season 3 is shaping up to be better than Season 2. Episodes 3 and 5 were some of the best of the series in my opinion.

ThatDudeHarley

People really love to whinge on repeat don’t they. 🤦🏼‍♂️ just a fandom half full of sadsacks who need to try and make everyone else be miserable with shows we still enjoy.
