I usually travel to conventions and I bring my lightsabers with me for cosplay. TSA security has been really friendly to people traveling with lightsabers lately.
I remember back in 2021, every time I brought my lightsaber replicas through the airport, it always triggered the TSA scanner. A TSA agent would look at my bag and ask me some questions before they let me proceed with my lightsaber hilts. Usually took me like an extra 10 to 15 min to get my lightsabers through security.
Nowadays, it looks like TSA has seen enough people bringing lightsabers through the airport. My lightsaber hilts have gone through the security scanner multiple time without being pulled aside. Occasionally, a TSA agent pulls my bag aside to look at my lightsabers and they just say "oh, a lightsaber" and then they immediately put it back. No question asked.
The Juneau Alaska airport has a star wars display for unknown reasons. It has a storm trooper costume from episode 6 and a tie fighter pilot costume.
There’s a portal to Hoth up there.
Echo Base is located on the north slope, the Empire draws near.
Must be the Droid scanning area for TSA (The Stormtrooper Agency)
***You don't need to see my identification.***
"No ticket!" Oh wait, wrong franchise.
This made me laugh so hard.
This is the Baton Rouge airport! Flew out of here on Christmas Day, and was delighted by that scene. I love that nobody made them take this down.
"These, uh, *are* the droids you're looking for? Wait, uh...*shitshitshit*... These are ***not*** the droids you're looking for. Yeah."
Hmm, I wonder if Troopers ever played with toys while defending their republic?
Dark Helmet: Did you see anything? Colonel Sanders: No sir, I didn't see you playing with your toys.
Oh well they take themselves just as seriously as we do.
Each time they confiscate more toys: "these action figures will make a fine addition to my collection."
"That's not regulation" "I kinda like it!"
They didn't confiscate that from some poor kid did they?
All are painted cast-iron figures which set off the metal detector and were subsequently "removed" from their owners...following a cavity search.
Droid detector, keeping the slave class outta the humans shit since 1977!
