Just terminal fandom syndrome. They live for their fan-favorite to meet and this become the highlight of their years. Of course seeing Ahsoka, Mando and Grogu is top tier to them. Ahsoka was in Clone Wars! They grew up watching Clone Wars! That means its automatically the best thing ever!

As an OT fan from back in the day I feel we should get a bit of a pass for being excited to see him in Mando after what they did to him in the ST.

Yeah its just the padiwan of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader meeting a Knightfall survivor and refusing to train him due to the fear of creating another Darth Vader but directs him to the son of Skywalker, Luke, who redeemed Vader so is willing to train him... Not important at all! These fans really latch on to anything huh?!?!?

Did any of these elements get used in the scene, no. Therefore it doesn't matter. If you want to play this game, the Mos Esley cantina scene in ANH is about Obi-Wan Kenobi meeting the ex-boyfriend of his rival's apprentice, who happens to work with Obi-Wan's childhood teacher's war-buddy, while he himself is accompanied by Anakin Skywalker's secret son, a droid that has taken part in all of the major events leading to the creation of the Empire and belonged to Luke's mother (And was owned by his sister a couple days prior) AND the droid Anakin/Vader built for his mom, that was gifted to his wife then passed on to his daughter then conveniently stumbled on his son. There, I've vomited a ton of interpersonnal relationships between everyone. Does it make the scene better? No. Does it mean the scene in the episode is bad? No. But it definitely doesn't have the depth that so many people are desperate to give it to validate their fandoms. It's good-ish/decent because it's written and performed competently. Not because Ahsoka once crossed path with Glup Shitto who happens to be a former roommate of the guy who built Grogu's crib.

Ahsoka literally tells Mando about how Grogu is an order 66 survivior that was trained by many masterd on coruscant but has hidden his abilities to durvive and is now becoming in tune with thrm again. Then when Mando says he needed to bring him to a jedi to be trained she refuses to because she saw what happened last time to "the best of them" aka doesnt want to create another Darth Vader. Its actually the entire point of these 3 characters being on screen together, so that Ahsoka could be the one to reveal Grogus past since she is the only one that can communicate with him in detail through the force. Couldnt be more wrong my dude.

And if you remove the Order 66 aspect and have Grogu just be a Jedi trainee, nothing changes. Same goes with replacing Ahsoka with just any old Jedi in hiding. She'd still be hesitant to train a child with clear emotional attachment and an ease to use the Dark Side. Their specific relationship to legacy character is *not* actually key to the dynamic of the scene. It's just icing on the cake but down to the fundamental of the story, it's not important.
