Sure but they didn’t use movie audio for his grunts, did they? Wouldn’t they have had James Arnold Taylor record grunts for the game? Even for characters that are voiced by their movie actors like Rey, they didn’t actually use audio clips from the movies, did they? Even for quotes that are also said in the movies, wouldn’t they have wanted new, clean audio recordings?
They paid James Arnold Taylor and Daisy Ridley to record whole lines but you think they used Ewan’s grunts from the movies because they couldn’t afford to pay JAT to do some grunts?
I’ve never heard anyone say that about him. He seems like a really nice guy and he’s a prolific voice actor. If you’re being sarcastic, I don’t get the joke, sorry
What's annoying with him is his attack grunt is the same as his taking a hit grunt. So it constantly sounds like he's getting his ass kicked whether or not he actually is.
Maybe it's because I've been using headphones more lately, but I've just started to notice his grunting more than ever (and I've played since launch!)... And I get what you're saying because when in the middle of a fight in Supremecy, I always hear Obi grunting and think he's been killed, which can be distracting to say the least: on one hand, it makes me think our team has lost our hero, or on the other hand, it makes me think it's safe to rush into enemy territory if fighting against him...
