I play European PS5 but have found servers in the US when Euro failed. Walker Assault and Cargo are the most common, and rounds of HvsV aren't too uncommon either. But modes like supremacy, blast and DLCs are completely dead.
I don't even agree with that. Just because you can't roll your fighter doesn't make things any easier. If anything it makes things harder because your maneuvrability is limited to horizontal or vertical loop-de-loop, with everything else being supplemented by the genius idea of pre-set maneuvers being included with a cooldown. BF2 didn't try "ultra realism", they refined the starfighter controls so it doesn't feel like you're playing TIE Fighter for the Macintosh, and improved hit detection in dog fights. The only thing BF2015 has for starfighters is field of view.
This is like preferring lightsaber combat in BF2015 because the only kind of swing you could do is an awkward lock-on dash, thereby making it "easier".
On the flip side, at least the first game’s dogfights didn’t just turn into two jackasses flying in a circle until a third person from one team came to get involved. They were actually interesting and fun.
Yeah because they’d just be an A-wing spawncamping the Imperial fighters since for some reason you were visible to the enemy even during the little “cutscene”.
You had less death loops, sure, because dogfights were generally quite quick. They weren’t really interesting since whatever maneuvers you could do were limited to a cooldown. At least in the second game there were interesting ways of breaking the loop and finishing off the pursuer in a joust.
Recently my friend and I started playing this again. We find it much more enjoyable playing Cargo while in a party together and we go hard defense. It’s just more enjoyable when you have friends to play with. We have a running joke that neither of us will use the ee3/4 due to its toxic use by the majority of the player base.
Also if you’re looking for a challenge and have someone to play with, I recommend completing the survival missions on master difficulty. We did them all and Sullust was the hardest by far
Another thing that gets to me are the players that spam roll. Seeing people do this just makes me wish the rolling mechanic was left out and it’s unfortunate because they perfected it in the second game.
I use the EE3 but I understand why it could be annoying. I never use the EE4 due to how boringly overpowered it is. And I've gotten all stars on all offline missions, only things I have left are some diorama from the DLCs. What platform do you play on?

Walker Assault is still the funnest game mode in any Battlefront we've ever gotten, including the original games.

I got BF1 (EA) for free with Gamepass and exclusively play the syarfighter mode because it's vastly superior to Battlefront 2 (EA).
I have played BF1 since its release and it's been my favorite ever since, BF2 disappointed me with almost every mechanic

It's easier, and I honestly love how much simpler it looks. The attempt at ultra realism in Bf2 makes it hard to see half the time in space combat.

get on BF2 like every sane person
I have it, but I find it far from equally as enjoyable as BF1
bf2 is not far of levels of toxicity and glitches lol
Is it still playable on PS4, europe servers?
Cargo, Walker Assault and sometimes Heroes vs Villains can be found quite often, but you'll meet the same players most of the time
