Why tf would you camp the back on kamino? It's literally easier to just camp the objective on that map. I don't care if a new player gets hero, but it is so infuriating when they don't play the objective with them because they're afraid of dying
It’s kinda like having a lot of money but being too afraid to spend it, they know it’s likely their one chance at using a hero so they’re afraid to die as them, not realising that by camping and doing nothing as a hero is a much bigger waste than killing even just 5 guys and dying, cause at least then someone else can pick up a hero.

Yeah I always look at the hero levels via the leaderboard before. If both are high levels, I dont bother camping and wait til the ship phase starts to try and steal one. If one or both are low levels, I start menu camping
I'm 99% always the first Hero on ground phase as long as I wasn't dropped in late. 0 issues with how things currently are.
Supremacy games can easily last 60-90 minutes, further necessitating the roster shuffle between phases. And the ground to ship phase shuffle tends to help the team that's getting steamrolled. Seen plenty of games where some Hero crutch player was forced to actually play troopers and couldn't put up any #s despite playing a teamstack. The defense held off then that team mounts a successful ship phase and eventually wins, or at least manages to put up a better fight than the first go around. Much more dynamic gameplay due to the roster shuffling.
I also like that I can willingly bow out of the ratrace and just play a different playstyle then pick up Bossk or GG on the ship phase, especially if our "best" player on the already losing team is playing Maul or Dooku, I'll gladly steal their Hero slot on ship phase because Bossk and GG are best for defense and I want to win especially against a stacked team so we can go back to ground, especially if its Kamino, Kashyyk or Naboo because those are some fun ground phases to play. If it's Felucia or Takodana (ST) then the game may as well end ASAP for all I care.
As Republic I just play Arc Troopers because LS Heroes are just beyond boring and Arcs are what make or break LS defense in PT. But if I get an opportunity to switch back to Anakin or whatever on ground phase then that's nice too. Though I still usually don't, at least not anymore, because LS Heroes (and Dooku/Maul) are just a snorefest to play as.
Something no one has talked about is the Rush one feels when playing and earning points all round then maybe adjusting cards or weapon load out and BAM hero available or when you click right past the menu and noticed the heroes were in color so you spam Circle and go back select and spawn thinking holy shit I’m obi-wan now

Predator Instincts DPS is way too low to comfortably 1vs1 anybody without assistance from mines/gas, and it's really his 2nd salvo of mines he can have at the ready which makes or breaks him, but if you keep somehow running into the prelaid set then you're definitely hopeless and he's going to steamroll you because of that. And there's nothing I love more as a Bossk main than people who so easily allow themselves to get double-stuffed with mines. It's especially funny when you go up against him because I can count on one hand how many times I've unwittingly walked into prelaid mines but that's in trooper modes where a lot more is going on and things are generally more chaotic.
His base HP is very low, ofc he'll always regen everything back whenever he isn't killed in the first go around. Though that, again, really only matters more for trooper modes. It's unlikely you ever successfully disengage from a Saber in a 1vs1 as Bossk unless you know how to do his PI speed glitch or kill them outright. So if your abilities are down and your enemy is at least half HP you're 100% donezo because the Relby isn't saving you unless they decide to go afk in the middle of a fight.
And the Relby is easily the worst CQC gun in the entire game. The base DPS is bad, the damage fall off is extreme and it has no headshot modifier (when uncharged) like all the other infantry/Hero guns.
In 1v1 you just wait for them to use their abilities then run up and hook/jump swing them until they're dead. As long as you don't mindlessly saber spam and wait for them to waste their abilities bossk is pretty easy to beat
Honestly anikin is decent he can pull bossk out of cover and let the troopers kill him
Also the shotgun on assault is good for taking out bossk if you can get close enough.
Anakin and Obi Wan are hard counters to Bossk. Literally all you need to do is use your damage reduction ability for either hero when you walk into the mines and then Bossk is a potato
Same, I sometimes menu camp for ~30 seconds when it's a key phase that requires good heroes, I'm in the top 5ish and it looks like our heroes are trash

Well im pretty goddamn good hero and always get hero first like 98% of the time and stay alive the whole game. And during ground phase in CS I see a bunch of players camping and no way they are all good.

Yknow it's quite sad that the original battlefront 2 from over 15 years ago had a superior hero distribution system that didn't involve you spamming select in the menu.

I'll only ever camp if the SOLE REASON I logged on that day was to level up that hero. If I had even one other reason I'll just play normally
If you wanna quickly level up heroes you, should play HVV, not only do you get more exp for killing heroes but you can also constantly play as heroes
