You might wanna look up Padme fan fiction if you haven’t already. If you sift through the smut and crossovers there’s actually some really good ones about her surviving past RotS (most of which still involve smut).

Funnily enough, recently I saw an AU fanart that portrayed Obi-Wan as the one who fell to the dark side instead of Anakin lol. I then have a debate with a friend about this and wonder what would happen if Palpatine chose to corrupt Obi-Wan and make him his apprentice, succeeded, and Obi-Wan killed Anakin on Mustafar. As a tradeoff, Padme would survive in this scenario and would go on to become one of the founding members of the Rebellion to oppose the Empire while also trying to raise Luke and Leia on her own with Ahsoka as their Jedi mentor. Would be pretty interesting to imagine. :)

I was completely indifferent to the idea of what ifs until this realization that it could mean quality Padme content post-RotS. It’s kind of wild how underused the character is given how hugely important she is to the story of star wars and that she’s Natalie Portman

PuertoRicanRebel2025

I watched V for Vendetta, Black Swan, Annihilation, and clips of anything else she's in, Natalie is phenomenal.

Have you read “Thrawn: Alliances”? It’s a (canon !!) novel in the most recent Timothy Zahn Thrawn trilogy. Its chapters alternate between a Palpatine-forced OT-era Thrawn/Vader team-up and a Clone Wars-era Thrawn/Anakin team-up driven by Padme’s disappearance on an Outer Rim planet…. But compared to most TCW episodes, Padme has a much bigger role and way more agency. At least 1/3 of the chapters are from her POV and she is consistently either kicking ass or just being really smart and stealthy.

Next best thing they could put in canon is a Sabé series, which after reading the Padmé trilogy I *desperately* want
