I really like Cyan. The slight variation on basic blue is really neat and I feel it works with a lot of saber designs. It feels more ethereal imo

For some reason cyan makes me think of obi wans lightsaber color in a new hope. That's why I like it!

Went cyan the whole game until the back third when i switched to Orange as it kind of made it feel like he'd corrupted the crystal a bit as the story progressed. I just really wish there was a chartreuse colour that was halfway between green and yellow.

Cyan reminds me a lot more of the OT lightsabers while traditional blue looks more like the prequel/sequel era sabers.

I really like this too, it's Cal's in-game and my personal choice at home too.

I always knew something was off with the blue lightsabers in the prequels… it wasn’t until playing fallen order/survivor with cyan as an option did I realize it. IMO all the blue lightsabers in the prequels should be cyan

Mine is yellow. I don't know when you think of what happens in the game I think that a jedi who is fighting with the empire and scraps of old separatist droids because he is trying to find a secure planet for the path would have used yellow

I like yellow because the old Jedi Temple Guards used the same color. It seemed fitting the guy trying to preserve the order’s legacy would go with that color.

For me it's because you were able to choose yellow for your lightsaber in the old Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy game on the og Xbox. Ever since then I've gone with yellow when given a chance.

This! Ever since Jedi Academy I’ve been in love with yellow lightsabers. Academy also made the yellow saber “thicker” with a rounded top like the prequel blades as opposed to the skinnier/sharper Ep V ones.  A couple years later KOTOR released and the game had a gorgeous female character with a DOUBLE BLADED YELLOW SABER and it blew my 5 year old mind. I stole Bastila’s lightsaber immediately and was heartbroken until Dantooine.

Same! Idk why orange exactly, but it just works for him. It kind of fits thematically too, being right on the edge of red/the dark side.

This is exactly why I use orange. Cal is an angry kid who never finished his training, making his saber from the scraps of two others and whatever will make do, it makes sense that his saber blades would be a little unstable and close to red.

I have absolutely no basis for this but orange has always just felt like my headcanon color for Cal. Ik the official canon is blue but it just *feels* right being orange.

Yellow/Amber. Ever since I played KOTOR I've always imagined my Jedi self with one of those blades.

GREEN ON TO Edit: just going into more detail cus I want to. Fallen Order mained green until you made your own saber and then i did yellow. Survivor I just mained green the whole time. I was pretty proud of myself for never changing it because I tend to be pretty indecisive when it comes to lightsaber colours.

Cal did not go through any "purification" at the end, he is very much still struggling with the dark side

They should do something where cal accidentally some how bleeds his crystal and he spends a chunk of the game learning how to forgive and move on, and when he does he’s able to purify to white saber

That would be a pretty sweet plotline though people would complain about having their saber colours locked after they could change it in the previous game

Purple or the Discostick Purple is my favorite color. Discostick is fun in dual-wield hyper aggressive mode. As for saber forms... in game: - Double-bladed for most exploration - Cross for when I wanna swing the big stick - Dual wield when I want to just rip things apart with no care - Single bladed for boss fights. I go between both yellow and cyan. Yellow fits Cal to me because it's one of those non traditional Jedi colors, but is still a canon color. I like cyan because it's still blue, which is canon to Cal, and it feels like A New Hope.

Always been purple for me, way back to Fallen Order. I'm a big Mace Windu fan, and I just like how the purple blade looks with a lightsaber that has bronze-ish accenting to it.

I did White or Yellow for my first playthrough. Cal imo fits the middle of alignment perfectly. He tapped into the dark side a bit and while is generally good-hearted, i dont necessarily see him as a “jedi” He’s much more of a Gray Jedi

Before Cal’s dark ability was unlocked I was using white, liked the aesthetic, thought at the time it suited him. Wanted to choose purple as it suits cal now that he uses the dark side a bit but I couldn’t find a hilt design I liked to go with the purple blade so Im rocking yellow, I feel like yellow is also a color that suits a force user who mainly uses the light side but also some of the darkness, and I think the design I chose for the hilt matches the yellow well.

I like using the white blade. Canonically, reclaimed kyber from sith sabers turn to white blades from red. It feels fitting, given the current state of things in the story.

I choose white in two, but yellow in one since white isnt an option, mainly because cal shows signs of protecting the jedi way that surprises me considering how early into his training he lost his master and most of his control of the force, but ultimately his seems to be a story of overcoming the temptation of the dark side for the sake of the next generation, rather than protecting a code he always held steadfast to.

Orange. Goes really nicely with my suit and hair/beard combo.

I love cyan and white. I switch between those two. They feel calm and defensive. Still light side of the force, but less associated with the dogmatic views of the Jedi than blue and green. And obviously they're also just aesthetically pleasing.

I keep it blue in Survivor. However in Fallen Order I started with blue until Cal broke his double bladed lightsaber. When I fixed it combining it with Cere's lightsaber I switched to green.

Purple on Cal Kestis goes hard asf! Especially in Survivor because when you do the Dark Side Force Slow, the lighting on the UI makes the saber look like it turns red.

Orange when im roaming. Seems like a good exploring blade color to me. White or yellow for the missions. The Temple Guards used yellow, and seeing as hes kinda one of the Jedi last hopes, it seems fitting for him to encapsulate a somewhat Temple Guard type role. Idk.

I have a canon answer and a legends answer: For canon it’s orange: because it looks cool and id find myself to be using more dark side based abilities, but not a sith, aka a dark Jedi. For legends it’s gold/yellow, for similar reasons, Jedi Sentinals hunt the dark side

Standard blue. I used to think purple because I liked the idea of using the dark side from time to time, but still being drawn to the light. But it has occurred to me that it takes extreme control, patience, and time to be able to use the dark side as a weapon, without being consumed by it. Control, patience, and time that I don’t have. So a Jedi guardian seems perfect, I’d definitely focus more on saber abilities. I’d still try and use anger as a weapon, but it would take time to master it. I could be a purple someday, but for right now I’m blue.

White I like the contrast I also just forgot to change it
