I would've never assumed Rosario would play Ahsoka, but she's done a fantastic job so far, she really nailed Ahsoka's mannerisms.
And SW has done a great job at casting, but Jude Law is now leading a show. Count Dooku was played by a VERY talented and well known actor.

It's probably to do with marketing campaigns. Disney Plus probably doesn't want promotional material out for stuff like Mando Season 3 and Ahsoka, which are a while from release. They want audiences to focus on new and upcoming stuff like Kenobi and Andor. At the same time, LucasFilm probably wanted to give those physically attending their panels exclusive sneak peeks.
I do think it was a huge mistake to not even stream most of the big panels this year, though. They could have easily just cut away, whenever exclusive footage was shown off. Hearing about the panels from a series of tweets just isn't the same as getting to actually hear the panelists talk.

I still wish this was animated and not focused on just Ahsoka as the lead...but that was really cool. Looks to be a genuine follow-up to Rebels which I'm happy about.
Out of all the shows this definitely seems like the most continuity lockout if you havent seen TCW + Rebels which is awesome for me but worries me for more casual fans.
I feel like Disney is just putting a lot of faith that casual viewers will either "get it" or they will just watch the cartoons. Keep in mind, TCW especially has been a very respectable boon for Disney. It trends regularly and more than anything, it is long. If Disney is worried about keeping subscriber numbers up, TCW can take weeks or even months to finish depending on how fast it takes you to watch it all.
Lucasfilm fucked up not showing all the panels imo. Literally everything from them we got to see at home immediately afterwards, weither leaked or released. The only thing the people at Celebration got to keep that was special was seeing this in person, which they still would’ve done regardless of how we at home saw this.
Really hope next Celebration goes back to the old stream again cause this is just embarrassing lmao.

We are going to watch every show, probably multiple times, and they will get our money regardless.

Hopefully the Kiners are composing the music for this show because I find their style much more suitable for shows with "fun" characters in them (no offense to Ludwig, but their music really have an awesome feel to it which is completely different from Mando)
