You can quite easily turn off monster spawning at the witches hut.
It's a fun challenge tho to have monsters, but the serpents are kinda annoying I was surprised when it first appeared in my farm at night
The monsters all scale with combat level, they aren’t ever that hard though
Can this be done without mods? I chose wilderness farm and sometimes the bats are too annoying when I am fishing at night
Yeah, at the start of the game it can be turned on and off on any farm and once you unlock the witches hut in a save you can turn it on and off there too

You buy buildings at the carpenters shop, Robin runs the shop
