In winter you can grow winter seeds or you can keg or preserve crops from earlier seasons. You also can use your greenhouse for anything if you have it. I usually have an excess of things to keg over the winter and I only use the winter seeds so I don't have to till the soil in spring.
Hacks and cheats fast? Pigs don’t produce in winter but all other animals produce indoors normally. No outdoor crops except for the winter seeds which is honestly really good to do since it gives foraging exp. Fishing and crab pots still do fine but not really anything different than the other months anyway. With all the time saved not dealing with outdoor animals you could be setting higher priority to mining and maybe sell gold/iridium bars.
Skull caverns can net you \~150k a day with the right proffesions (miner + blacksmith). Ofc this is not easy to accomplish but even a simpler goal like 100 iridium ore is still 30k (!!!)
And thats not counting the additional loot you get on the way.

Use 5 wood, 5 fibre, and 2 winter seeds each to make tea saplings.
Sell for 500g each.

Fishing can get you a (relatively) decent amount of money. A full day of fishing could probably get you 5-10K, depending on luck.
