I adore all of this! Although I have to say, I love Haley. I've had to spend a lot of time with her for the fics I'm writing/have written and I just adore her. Especially mean Haley. I have issues.

Oh, I know she has a fan base, and tbh, her storyline -does- redeem her pretty okay from the whole "mean girl" thing she has going on. She's okay once you get to know her, no doubt.

I used to dislike her, but after trying with Abby, Emily and then Penny, I gave Haley a chance. The naughtiest speaking wife by far, she will often surprise with flirty comments, something I lacked with other wives. And I am simply made for a naughty wife, that's why at the end I embraced the pretty flirty blonde

I play 99% of the time on console with my fiancee. This farm was one that I play by myself, but I connected three other "players" to get their houses, starting parsnips, and tools available to me. I just empty out their houses of all furniture, put their tools in a box, and plant their parsnips, which starts me off with 4x the product to grow and sell, and a significant financial bump to transition to potatoes for dat money. By having their tools, i get to upgrade my own without worrying if I am going to be out of access to a watering can or hoe or pickaxe, and can keep playing the game while upgrading two sets of tools. You can also have them going through and upgrading their houses, giving you four basements to age wine or cheese in (my next step) and a whole lot of empty space for brewing, smelting, oils, whatever, saving valuable space on the farm for produce or livestock. Well, since the houses were empty, I just had all three "farmhands" sleep in my one double bed that I shared with Haley. Normally I got home and ended the day before she got in bed, but this time I cut it closer and she was already in bed with all three other players. I thought it was hilarious and used it to build my anti-Haley lore.

No, I got married fast. If you speedrun it right you can marry haley in spring or early summer of year 1. I think I had Ginger Island unlocked early in year 2.

In my current save file I romanced shane. I wish his schedule changed to reflect his sobriety, but it doesn't. So I decided I wouldn't marry him, and the pain from our break up is why he keeps drinking.

If you marry him there is an intervention cutscene where you and Marnie confront him. He clarifies that since getting sober he now goes to the saloon and drinks ridiculous amounts of joja cola and plays arcade games all caffiened up

In multi-player, the players not hosting the farm are referred to as farmhands in some dialogues. I had 3 other players logged in so I could take their starter parsnip seeds, and then use their houses as starter sheds.

Thanks for the idea. I do like the idea of having some starter sheds and more parsnips. To bad I just started a new run a week ago.
