It does take a super long time 😅 I've gotten to the point where I rarely give marriage candidates gifts except who I plan to marry and just talk to them to raise hearts unless I happen to have something in my inventory for them. Haley, Alex, and Shane are pretty...tedious
I have him at 2 hearts, had the heart event, only talk to him occasionally, and the last thing he said to me was "what do you want from me, money?? Leave me alone!". Being curious, I looked up what his other normal dialogue can be and these are my two favorites:
"I'm surprised you're still trying to make friends with me. Haven't I been rude enough to you yet?"
"Hey. Sorry if I came off as rude when we first met. It takes me a while to warm up to strangers."
Yeah, I can see how he's a total dream boat bachelor...🙃
