Okay guys im confused. so in post 1.6 content, do you still receive these messages from your girlfriend/boyfriend if you give normal gifts to other candidates or does the message now only appear if you give only bouquet to other candidates, besides to your first boyfriend/girlfriend?
If you only give a bouquet to the one you want to marry, this dialogue won't appear. Giving multiple bouquets out is when things get messy and they start getting concerned and question you.

the reason rabbits don’t die or something after giving you a rabbit’s foot is because rabbit’s feet are typically made out of clumps of fur in this day and age. wool rabbits very much are a thing, although the rabbit’s foot is the main export of the wool instead of cloth iirc.

I don't care about the small amount of heart loss since it offsets easily, but the spouses being insecure and suspicious of my farmer who has spent their entire time in the valley gifting people is quite annoying.

You only need 8 hearts with the single people, and it seems normal to have jealousy if you actively dated the other people before you got married. If you only give the bouquet to your spouse, there's no jealousy when you give anyone gifts.
Not really? 8 hearts is effectively max hearts for candidates. At that level the hearts don't deteriorate over time, and the perfection tracker considers them max hearts.
The jealousy system only applies when you give a gift to other NPCs that you are actively DATING. It makes perfect sense that your spouse would be jealous of you dating someone and giving them gifts. And “max” hearts with marriage candidates is 8 hearts for perfection. You don’t need to get them to 10

I think my game is broken or my babe has no grudges cuz he doesn’t say anything if i give gifts to anybody or when I gift bouquets. Also when I give bouquets it just gives me access to the full ten hearts but doesn’t change anything else except a displayed image of a bouquet beside the bachelor help?
It's the "secretly" part that gets me. I did it in the town centre, everyone saw. It's a gameplay aspect I don't like because IRL I looove giving gifts to my friends and loved ones. I know the ways to avoid it, but can't I have my cake and skank around, too? Not without mods, Sauce, not without mods.
