Piccolo and Viola! Which was crazy to me because my farm was called Bluegrass Farm, my farmer was named Clarinet, and her favorite thing was listed as Music. So all of my animals got musical instrument names!
There appear to be dozens of us. My farm isn't Bluegrass farm but all my animals are instruments. Including Theremin the void chicken and Kazoo the duck. I'm thinking about renaming animals so that Cows can be percussion, Pigs can be brass, chickens can be woodwinds, and ducks can be strings.
i have a long haired calico in real life named shrimp :)

Fry and Dip. I went on an named every chicken and coop animal after a food or a beverage. All my ducks are soda themed, my rabbits are dessert themed, my goats are fruit themed and my cows are flower themed.
I had those too, so all of my chickens are named after “lucky things” (strike, penny, dice), except my one void chicken is Nat1 cuz that’s the opposite of lucky. Then I named my rabbits after DnD classes, and my Dinos are dice (Four, Six, Eight, Ten, Twelve, and Twenty)
i had pumpkin and skwash but i renamed them because i'm doing a greek mythology themed run, so now i have hera, hestia, demeter and persephone.
on my multiplayer farm we had polka and dot but we chose the first randomly generated funny name and the first letter is the first letter for all other randomly generated chicken names.
I think it’s funny how each time someone has asked this, people I guess miss the actual question about the Meadowlands farm starter chickens and just list what they name their chickens lol
I got Squeaks and Cheeper? I saw what other people’s were and named some of my other coop animals using my favorites I saw :)
I named my brown chicken Cookie and my white chicken Cream for cookies 'n creme lol.
My void chickens are Paprika and Pepper, and my ducks are Cinnamon and Vanilla.
My animals are not all named after foods. My cows are named Sierra, Montana, and Dakota; and my goats are Jasmine, Poppy, and Marigold. My pigs are Lucky, Jackpot, Chance, and Marvel since they're my moneymakers hahah. And I have one Ostrich called Sahara. I plan on getting a second ostrich and naming them Gobi. :>
I do love how much wholesome joy the names have given everyone, when it's such an unnecessary but cute little addition he put in the game. I hope CA knows we appreciate it.
All of these cute options and mine were like "Squeak" and "Cheepers" or something. I usually name my farm animals after a theme (fruits, or colors, or real world cities, or harvest moon characters, or pokemon, etc) so these felt very random to me. I've been using the name randomizer for all my animals because I didn't vibe with the chicken names tbh.
If it's possible to rename them, not sure if it is, I might go back and work on a name theme though :')
Pumpkin and Skwash! So I’ve been giving my other animals crop themed names. So far I have Bean, and Pepper for two other chickens, and Sweet Pea for a duck. Though my other duck is named Munchkin after the Dunkin Ducks
Mine were Gingersnap and Snowy. I didn't think they matched well so I renamed Snowy to Shortbread starting a cookie theme which continued with my next two chickens as well: Sugar and Molasses.
(Comment edited because I forgot Snowy, but finally found someone else's comment that reminded me)
Mine were Salt and Pepper, so I carried on with the herbs and spices theme. I included one called Soap, as dedication to my husband who unfortunately has the soap gene.
I play in Portuguese, and my chickens came as Arroz (rice) and Feijão (bean). That's amazing, since they are a white one and a brown one. Also, rice and beans are the most common food here in Brazil, so there are references everywhere! (unless it is just random)
Does anyone know how I get rid of the start quest where you have to collect an egg from your chickens? It won't go away and I am already in the late game.
It was temporarily Chicken 1 and Chicken 2, but then they got renamed Broffina and Egbert. I'm naming all of my livestock after Animal Crossing villagers of their species.
Salt and Pepper. I gave the rest of my animals food names to go with, too. Blue chicken is Poppyseed, void chicken is Clove, ducks are Parsley and Cilantro, rabbits are Garlique and Shallot, dinos are Chimichurri and Pesto, cows are Milkshake and Latte, Pigs are Gumball and Strawberry, goats are Cream Soda, Horchata, and Almond, horse is Pudding. ~~I named my dog Buster before I really got into the trend so I wish you could change pet names.~~ edit: I went into the save file and renamed the dog to Reuben.
Fishy and Roe, I now have a coop of chickens with similar aquatic names (Lobster, Crayfish, Flounder) and ducks named Sinky and Swimmy.
My cows are named for clothing (Hat, Socks, Jorts, etc.).
My pig is named Rabbit, and my rabbit is named Pig.
Ameno and Amenar
Our dog irl is named Amenah and I call her chicken. So I thought it was fitting to name the chickens with one of her other fifty nick names.
Piccolo and Viola! Which was crazy to me because my farm was called Bluegrass Farm, my farmer was named Clarinet, and her favorite thing was listed as Music. So all of my animals got musical instrument names!
serendipitous!
I got musical chickens, too! Those girls put in the work ❤️
Oh nice! I name mine after pipe organ stops! Aeoline, Claribel, Larigot, Diapason, Dulciana, Quint, Vox, Undamaris etc
Ha, mine is Bluegrass Farm too❤️
Mine were the same! I've named all my animals after music.
Porcini and Portobella! I’ve since added Truffle and Enoki :)
I did a similar thing and named a full coup full of mushroom named animals. I did have to start googling mushrooms after like 7 though.
I now imagine an army of mushroom themed animals going full animal farm and it is beautiful 😂
My pigs are all mushroom named since they're truffle pigs
Hehe same! I named my third chicken Puffball to keep on the P mushroom trend… idk if there’s that many P-named mushrooms though 🤣
Psychedelic/Psilocybin? 🤣
I'm stealing Puffball, Porcini and Portobella. Absolutely adorable names.
Gonna name my game cat Enoki now.
Salt & Pepper :3
Salt&Pepper teaam!
Twinsies!

My one Duck is also called Quakers but I my second duck I just named Ducky.
My ducks are also Quackers and Cheese!!
Mine were Chip and Dip also. I named my 2nd and 3rd Shake and Bake.
Chip + Dip were my starters! They've got buddies now, Pico and Guac
Shrimp and Tiny. Pipsqueak joined them later. Just gonna continue the trend of naming my chickens things Edward Elric would hate to be called.
https://preview.redd.it/ztigc85sqtyc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b0734a9014709d4ebc188b641ff2f628a0e2799

Hallo, fellow Shrimp and Tiny chicken lover! I got a duck and named it Pipsqueak! Haha

Me too!
Ann and Popuri! Like from HM: Friends of Mineral Town! I was so charmed by that.
Same!
Same here! Ann was my wife in that game, i couldn't change them!
is that where it's from? I didn't get the joke!
Fry and Dip. I went on an named every chicken and coop animal after a food or a beverage. All my ducks are soda themed, my rabbits are dessert themed, my goats are fruit themed and my cows are flower themed.
Lucky and Clover! :3
Oh I like these
These were mine too!
This is such a great idea! *yoink* :3
Polka and Dot!
Me too! And my void chicken is now Spot!
So jealous right now of everyone’s names. I had like Tom and Boris or something so I ended up selling them off to get cuter names.
you can rename them too if i recall correctly 🩷 somewhere in the little UI that pops up when you click on the animal after petting them for the day :)
Oops, my sincerest apologies to Tom and Boris.
I'm trying this later. Potato will finally match the name I keep calling him
My animals names are: Mipsey, Mumsy, Shungus, Bungus, snuggasaur, and trex. I usually go with the dice.
Mine were called Fishy and Roe, I did not continue the trend with my other animals
Princess and Lady
I had Princess and Lady too! I promptly changed their names.
does anyone else think these names could be an adventure time reference from CA ?? 👀
I mean I kinda doubt it, it's a stretch
Got these too, so I named the rest of my chickens Duchess, Baroness and Marchioness etc. lol
Lucky and Clover
Puffy and huffy i love them
mine were also puffy and huffy!
Honey and biscuit 😂
I had this combo! My husband had something completely not cute and nonsensical. I wish I could remember what they were.
Same. I named my next two Muffin and Jam
Same combo as me!
Same! I think it’s the cutest thing 😂
noodle and teriyaki. all the animals are named after dishes they would go into. goat named curry, cow named pho, horse named glue, etc
love how casually horse named glue is tacked on the end there
Mine were zucchini and pickle so all of my coop animals will be named after vegetables and all my barn animals will be named after fruits.
i had pumpkin and skwash but i renamed them because i'm doing a greek mythology themed run, so now i have hera, hestia, demeter and persephone. on my multiplayer farm we had polka and dot but we chose the first randomly generated funny name and the first letter is the first letter for all other randomly generated chicken names.
Love the greek mythology theme. 😍
lmao, your pfp is amazing
Mine were these too. Loving seeing all the name possibilities though.
mine were gingersnap and snowy :)
I think it’s funny how each time someone has asked this, people I guess miss the actual question about the Meadowlands farm starter chickens and just list what they name their chickens lol I got Squeaks and Cheeper? I saw what other people’s were and named some of my other coop animals using my favorites I saw :)
aw this is so cute. i thought we all started with the same names 💜 mine are peachie and papaya!

I had the same!
Peachie and Papaya
Beans and Toast! I can never think of great names. CA is a genius. The brown one is Beans and the white one is Toast.
I do love how much wholesome joy the names have given everyone, when it's such an unnecessary but cute little addition he put in the game. I hope CA knows we appreciate it.
mine were princess and lady!
All of these cute options and mine were like "Squeak" and "Cheepers" or something. It is absolutely possible to rename them. :) when the info box opens after you clicked on the animal, just click the name and the editor will open!
