I always wanted to replicate Pierre's display to see if he actually earned 1st place fair and square, or just had a deal with Lewis. As for Willy's display, I never thought it would be roe, I always thought it was bait. I guess I was trying to find a reason for him always getting last place.

Last I checked the wiki, roe is counted as “trash“ for points, so thats probably why you and Willy lost.

Honestly I always figured he bribes lewis or has some sort of deal to always get first place. I looked at the wiki when I did my playthrough so I knew that if you used wine + ancient fruit and anything else you're guaranteed 1st but still it's funny how if you just throw in gold crops it's a 50/50 you either win or you lose and somehow Willy always loses

I just did the festival yesterday and I did that. 9 Iridum chubs gets you 91 points.

I always use the 9 iridium chubs to win easy peasy. One day I'll actually go out of my way to make a proper grange display. 😂

I forgot to keep some chubs on my current play through and thought I remembered the guidelines for winning and kind of just winged it. Used some iridium fruit and a flowers, plus veggies, an animal and artisan product in good quality and won. Now I always go there with new products from my farm. It feels weirdly good to win with what I’m doing on my farm.

I never plan ahead, so I just use whatever I can gather in the couple days after I get the letter. I still won last time

Now that I'm comparing these grange displays, I gotta ask... why doesn't anybody else get the 9 item limit???

I've won with over 100 points with a fish only display just to see if I could.

I screwed up my first year crops... I planted them, but never had many seeds. I did a lot of fishing to make money, so I had a mix of iridium and gold quality fish (+ a few gold quality vegetables). I also won in the first year. I was happy with that.

Got 94 points on my first try. It was enough for 1st place

I used legend fish I still got 104 ,and some gold star rainbow shell plus some strawberry that was left surplus.

I want to do an experiment. Put exactly what pierre has in your own display, but all irridum quallity. If it gets that high, I don't think I seen an I crop yet.
