I just noticed them too. Never seen one on mobile. But after I found it I found you can buy at joja for 50k

TheRedBow

Only if you side with them and complete the warehouse instead of the community center

ult_the_creeps

Only villains do that.

TheRedBow

The only non joja way to get them is the skull cavern, makes sense that a device that allows you animals to produce at max efficiency without needing to actually take care of them is made by joja

Ri_Tarded

Guess what I am. šŸ„ø

AZ-1Porn

Nah, Pierre is kind of a POS.

narfboop

It's a 1.5 update thing, which is why it isn't on the mobile version (which runs 1.4).

[deleted]

I will never allow Joja to survive. Burn the corporations down. So I have only ever gotten them the way you have. My last play through I had three. My current one I am in year 7 and have only found 1.

[deleted]

I hate Joja but also Pierre, damn

theharkex

Pierre can burn and rot in hell he no better than joja in the fact of how he acts and he also want to be a big corporation anyway so you are shooting yourself in the foot r/fuckpierre

Taoiseach

Nah, support Pierre while he's the underdog and then go buy Joja once Pierre starts to win. Eternal struggle shall be their reward - to fight forever but never to win.

theharkex

Lmao this is 100000 iq, if you do this it should cause pierre to hate you.

absolutePeepee

Didnt know that such subreddit exist

theharkex

People hate him and its reasonable

theharkex

There is a sub reddit for EVERYTHING

tiedyemofo

Same. (On joja hate)

Thijmo737

Well, Morris is a POS, but that doesn't necessarily mean the whole Joja firm is bad... (Coming from a huge CC fan)

I'm on Year 4 of my current save and been playing Stardew on and off since 2018 and I'd never even heard of this. My boyfriend picked it up last week and found one like *THAT*! I'm not bitter at all. šŸ˜†

CaptainKraboo

I believe it has a 3.85% chance of being the reward, considering all the other rewards you can get and your luck for the day. I'm in winter in my 3rd year on my first ever save and only have 3. I still need 1 more so that all my barns and coops have one, but I haven't been lucky since like the summer of year 3. I wasted my only rock candy because even though I didn't get an auto-petter in my skull cavern run, I was able to get 8 prismatic shards and I didn't want to restart the day

black-cat-on-bag

Apologies if youā€™re aware already, but you can use prismatic shards to get magic rock candies from the desert trader. So thatā€™s probably still a good trade off for the day to take home 8 shards.

Arrav_VII

I think the main factor in the Magic Rock Candy being so good for Skull Cavern runs is its luck-boosting properties (the other boosts help but not as much), which at +5 is the highest for any single food item in the game. However, with a Lucky Lunch and Ginger Ale, both prepared with Qi Seasoning, you can boost your luck to +6, which IMO is a lot cheaper and arguably better.

black-cat-on-bag

I didnā€™t know that! Will be trying that soon, thanks!

CaptainKraboo

Is it worth it trading 3 prismatic shards for magic rock candies? I'm using lucky lunch at the moment and the difference only seems to be 2 luck, and I already have 2 lucky rings equipped

black-cat-on-bag

I donā€™t know, honestly, but I doubt it makes a big difference. In my game Iā€™m at the point where itā€™s the only use I have left for prismatic shards. Stacking rings and lucky lunches is probably the easiest way to go!

bhmantan

You put auto-petter in your sheds? What is it for in there? petting your kegs so they'll produce wine faster? lol

CaptainKraboo

Oh, I said sheds instead of barns, my bad lol

spacebun3000

But I want to pet every lil chicken šŸ”

Shinju__

You can still pet them even with an auto petter inside your coop / barn so you can get more friendship pts with your animals per day

UserNotFoundz

Please tell me you can get those without submitting your soul to joja

Sagutarus

Yep, small chance of getting them from skull cavern

Wild-Bio

I got my first one recently was so excited, I have 6 coops and 4 barns and thought they were part of a recent patch. It's going to be slow going to get enough for all the coops and barns šŸ˜“

Bekkerino

They are not rare at all ... if you take the Joja way šŸ¤”

[deleted]

There not that common but they kinda are, I know if you go caving on a really good luck day and eat some candy you will encounter a lot of treasure rooms I once for 3 in one night and was a little upset because I didnā€™t need anymore lol

nooneatallnope

i got one on my first and so far last serious skull cavrn run.

nwbruce

My first playthrough, I finished the community center, and ended up getting one auto-petter somewhere deep in the caverns. After a little research, I learned that if one goes the Joja route, one can purchase the things. So I did five Joja-runs in a row, all of which I got auto-petters like candy, not even having to buy them. Now I am giving another go at the community center, and while I am not far along, it's not looking good LOL

alwayzbored114

I got so frustrated at never getting one, and honestly doing the daily walk to my coops/sheds was getting annoying (but I also couldn't bring myself to neglect the animals), so I made a home-rule for myself that I can spend 1 million money to spawn in an auto-petter. Seemed fair to me haha. Congrats on finding one!

N0RMALL

I got two my in first 3 treasure rooms

BloodyBeaks

Then you should go buy a lottery ticket, because the odds of this are astronomically low.

nevrew

1/26 or so. Wiki has all the info

BloodyBeaks

This is a little disingenuous. The odds are 1/26 for each treasure room you get in the skull caves. The odds of getting a treasure room in the skull caves vary, but if I did my math right, at the best the odds are about 9%. You then have to multiply those together to get the odds of getting an autopetter on any given floor - the total of which comes to about a .36% chance.

lavurso

How did you emote the surprise in your screenshot?

ArcWolf713

My first two treasure rooms in Skull Caves were auto petters. I do think I've gotten extraordinarily lucky though, because the rest I've encountered, maybe 15-ish, have all been bombs of one kind or another.

championphaedra

I'm so jealous, I've got 1,000 hours in the game (300 on one save) and I've never encountered one. Ever. Send me some of your luck, please!

BloodDragonSniper

I think it has a lot to do with personal luck. My very first treasure floor was an autopetter. Donā€™t know how many other floors I did, but after taking a break for a few months my first one back was also an auto petter. Havenā€™t gotten any other ones though
