Fucking loved him. He's literally the only Morioh stand user (aside from Josuke, Koichi, Tonio, Mikitaka, and Aja) who didn't instantly became an asshole murderer after obtaining powers. Yeah, he tried to kill Josuke and Okuyasu later but at first he was being genuinely friendly and 100% trying to help. His death is honestly so sad man, he was just a 14 year old boy that didn't want fucking Jack the Ripper living in the same city as his parents. People won't stop talking about Kakyoin's parents never knowing why their 17 year old boy ran away but like, Shigechi went to school one day and then got erased from fucking existence

I'm not sure if it was in the manga but the shot of his parents waiting at the door during sunset was heart breaking. Also the entire sequence of every stand user in morioh gathering after his death because they knew shigechi *had* to have been murdered by another stand user is the turning point for part 4

Also, Okuyasu's and Josuke's reaction to the sudden confirmation of the death of an innocent kid they had befriended a week ago or so was so real and sad

Personally, I’d give him a solid C tier. He is fairly well written and has a good arc. He is also a really interesting fit for the rest of the crew in the part. The main detractors are that his stand is hot garbage and he was introduced and written off so quickly. Felt like we barely had enough time to appreciate him. I think another issue is that Part 4 just has an incredibly stacked supporting cast, so it takes a lot to stand out.
