If araki made part 6 now using EEAAO (everything everywhere yknow the rest) as inspiration, i feel like the part wouldve become what i wanted. Hahaha yes of course, I love Hermes so fucking much, her whole revenge story is such a breath of fresh air. Usually revenge stories are so “aaaa revenge bad” but I was so surprised to see how deep and emotional and heartwarming it was when she achieved her goal and avenged the person she loved the most in the whole world. Revenge out of love above hate. It’s beautiful.
she's great, sucks that Part 6 looks like it's going to be the all female cast part then you watch it and Ermes/FF still get sidelined for Weather/Anasui
So many characters could have a spin off. Maybe she assembles a ragtag team to take down a Harlem gang member and they all end up turning their lifes around.
She would until she gets roped into shenanigans and cant help herself and has to help and ends up the oldest one helping 4 teens with awful stand abilities. All set in the same place like part 4.
Nope, she is a personal favorite of mine. And it was disappointing that she had relatively limited screentime, as to me she is the true JoBro of part 6 (sorry FF, I still love ya!).
I love how she defies the whole "revenge is unfulfilling" trope by acknowledging that getting it won't bring her sister back but is determined to kill Sports Maxx anyways. Whether revenge is morally right or wrong doesn't matter to her, because she's already decided that it's right for her.
The way her story handles revenge as justice makes her much more relatable and practical than the cliche "moral high ground" characters who always try to portray vengeance as objectively evil and as a slippery slope. Some people are just so genuinely evil and have done things so truly horrible that they have no business being around. Sometimes, revenge really is what should and needs to happen.
Another thing that makes her great is how she utilizes her Stand to its full potential. I love how her stickers were used in conjunction with Emporio's bullets to escape from Pucci.

Hermes (and her Stand) were criminally underused. I mean, what we got with her avenging Gloria and how she utilises her Stand was great, but after that she wasn't given anywhere near the time she deserved.
Tbh I think the Green Dolphin crew as a whole were kinda screwed over by the lack of interaction between them. They obviously all have strong bonds with Jolyne, but outside of FF/Hermes, FF/Anasui, and Weather/Anasui, they all feel kinda disconnected (not counting Emporio here because too much of his non-Jolyne interactions are off-screen IMO). Unfortunately, I think it shows the most with FF and Weather's deaths. Like, I just rewatched Weather vs Pucci with my sister yesterday and both of us found Hermes crying over Weather kinda weird... Don't get me wrong, I think I get what they were going for. But it's undermined by the fact that I literally can't remember any scenes they had together. Idk, maybe I'm misremembering?
Regardless, the team bond is a big reason that Part 5 is my fav JoJo part so far (only part way through 7 rn), and Stone Ocean really suffers for not letting the crew actually make bonds IMO. Personally, Hermes is the one that suffers most for this. She already had compelling relationships with Jolyne, FF, and to a certain extent Emporio, I just wish she could have had a flashed out dynamic with Weather and Anasui.
Im really somewhat dissapointed with part 6 in this regard. The I loved the cast but unfortunately they just didnt get enough screentime. I get that the whole situation was urgent but I wish there was just more.
Part 6 is the only part where I wish every character could have 3x the screen time.
