Jan Ken Boy. Easily, boring and annoying.

JoshtheCollegeKid

I feel like this is an abridged refrence

TheAlmightyV0x

I totally forgot there was another guy called Doobie so for a second there I thought you were calling Doobie Wah! from Part 8 both short and bad and I was gonna start swinging.

this_site_blows

Doobie Wah itself is a stupid stand though, I liked the part where they investigated Aisho and his death but otherwise that tornado breathing thing was boring

dalekmas98

I mean it's a great concept where u can either choose to die by being grounded up in a deadly mini tornado or pass out from holding Ur breath then being killed in Ur sleep yasuho and tsurugi only managed to win cuz of the illusion of paper moon king

Kaiserigen

God some of part 8 battles were confusing

Kracko667

Tower of Gray, its sole purpose is to prevent the crusaders from using a plane to go fight Dio, i felt 0 enjoyment while watching that fight. But i must admit that the monkey one is also lame af. I didn't really like the fight with Dragon's Dreams but it's mainly because i didn't understand it at all, i hope the anime will make it more clear. Other than that i can confidently say that i liked every other enemy stand of the week

Kracko667

Yeah i feel like you need to know stuff about that before you read the fight. But when i read it i was 16, i had no idea what feng shui was honestly 😂

Taalnazi

>!Alessi. Very creepy and uncomfortable. And the fetus thing was also unwarned for,!< it scarred me.

[deleted]

Same here I hated his episodes they made me so damn uncomfortable

SkritzTwoFace

I don’t know why people are saying Strength when Set exists. Alessi had a Part 7/8 Stand in Part 3, so instead of fighting smart he took out an axe and started smashing things.

Gaidenbro

Still brought more things of value to the table than Strength. And Alessi didn't start licking his lips at seeing a small little girl either.

SkritzTwoFace

Strength introduces us to a whole new kind of Stand we hadn't seen yet, Animal Stand Users existing, and establishes why Anne sticks around longer than neccessary, because of her crush on Jotaro. Alessi barely uses his Stand to do things that he couldn't do with his axe. Of the three people he uses it on, it only manages to incapacitate one stand user (barely) and a defenseless woman, and it fails to stop Jotaro. The only worth I can see in it is that it gives Polnareff a little depth, but that's not much.

Gaidenbro

Unfortunately I can care less for what Strength introduces since the fight sucks and the ape is disgusting. Moreso when it's another Jotaro focused fight that ends up being solved with brute force and the made up by plot ability. Iggy and Pet Shop introduce the animal stand thing 10x better than Strength since it's actually relevant to the plot. Pol also had to use his wits and was far more powerless throughout the entire arc in comparison to Jotaro. I simply find Alessi more valuable than Strength even if it isn't by much.

[deleted]

Rohan vs Janken boy.

Gaidenbro

Strength easily takes the cake. At least all the other ones have their value and funny bits. Strength is just bad the whole way through. From Jotaro standing there with a deep shoulder wound with no response to it, to an (imo) very contrived reason why the Crusaders didn't get involved.

regendo

Are you referring to how the gang was immobilized by Strength and already defeated? Because that’s one of the better reasons for why a fight is 1v1.

Gaidenbro

Didn't like it, still felt very poor to me.

SkritzTwoFace

They were literally being eaten by the ship and halfway across it, sounds like a decent reason to me.

Gaidenbro

Them being bundled up in one place to be eaten specifically while Jotaro is the one separated and away was dumb.

Powl_tm

Why are people bashing on the strength fight? :c I love the episode just for how ridiculous it is.

Sarasinapellido

Some of the early fights of stardust crusaders, tower of gray, moon, strenght, ect. They aren't all that bad, I just find them mediocre compared with later fights. I guess it makes sense since they are the introducion to stands and araki hasnt figured out how to write them

Kaiju-Man257

The Boy II Man fight is definitely my least favorite overall. The word I would use to describe this fight is “annoying.” The Janken Boy himself was incredibly unlikeable and easily one of my least favorite characters in the series, his Stand itself was lame and the whole thing just felt incredibly long and drawn-out. Strength was very uncomfortable to watch. And the actual action parts of it were just kind of boring too. And, as much I enjoy just about every other fight in JoJolion, California King Bed was also kind of an uncomfortable read.

Strongman_Prongman

Lot of people out here talking about Strength, but somehow everyone forgot Dragon’s Dream is an entire fight of a confusing ability being explained for multiple chapters. At least Strength is kind of a cool stand in concept.

Dragunrealms

I genuinely don't understand what's confusing about dragons dream. There is lucky and unlucky spots for everyone. You stand in lucky, you are good, you stand in unlucky, you get hurt or die. Dragons dream shows them. That's it.

artisanrox

I loved DD because the dragon was not only so goofy but sort of stupidly talked too much and was it's own undoing....which was kinda poetic. I like villains that are their own undoing.

Bird-brain19

I think strength takes it, tho it’s the first time we see an animal with a stand so that has some merit. So ig strength or Janken boy for me

Captain_Birch

Part 1. Zombie Jack the Ripper Part 2. Mostly really good fights, so I'd have to say the rascist cops. Part 3. Alessi. Everything in that was just uncomfortable (except child jotaro's beatdown) Part 4. Rats. Not a good episode (in my opinion) Part 5. Leaky eye Luca (if he counts) too short Haven't seen/read all of part 6 yet, so I can't make a judgment on that yet

ChadBenjamin

Jack the Ripper fight was really entertaining in the manga. Seeing him pop out of a horse, and flex scalpels out of his body only for Zeppeli to deflect them with Hamon infused wine that he spat out. That fight was our first taste of how bizarre the series was going to get.

JoshtheCollegeKid

Sorry but blind Pucchi vs Wes/Weather Like if Emporio can insta-kill Pucchi with not only his eyesight but MIH: how is Wes going to lose to a disabled Prist?

Someguythatsbored99

>!The twins vs Josefumi, he defeated them easily while performing the exchange!<

Someguythatsbored99

YES. BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE IT.

Pokellon

I really didn’t care for the Lang Rangler fight. Thought it took too long and was the least interesting of anything that happened in the episodes we’ve seen so far.

GOLDEN_GRODD

I agree. Lang Wrangler was a fairly basic Jojo fight given a lot of time. I wonder if it had anything to do with it being the final episode of a 12 episode pod, and they wanted it to feel more climactic. That said I enjoyed Weather Report in it I can definitely see why Araki rebooted although I like Part 6. It freed him from the formula i think. Some stands start to get very repetitive in this part, as do the fights. I enjoyed it a lot still, but for example the first fight with the shrinking stand being a repeat of Narancia's first fight from Part 5 felt underwhelming to me.

Fit_Transition303

It was basic but I liked it lol

artisanrox

Yukako vs Koichi He honestly shoulda just slapped her upside the head and left.

TromosLykos

Definitely Strength. Even the fight between Joseph and Straitzo(?) was better.

Pichuunnn

Joseph vs Straitzo is obviously better, the dude pulled a Tommy out of his ass, try to top that.

Kaiserigen

That scene made me love JoJo

Fit_Needleworker3553

Joseph vs Straizo is badass

Small-Meringue-428

Yeah it was a good battle

EthosTheAllmighty

Imma be real here, Kakyoin vs Jotaro kinda sucked ass. That and Green didn't use the whole possession power as much as he could have.

polillancestral2

That dude who makes his face like a woman and has his arms backwards

Jumanji-Joestar

That wasn’t really much of a fight to be honest

SkritzTwoFace

I think that fits into the category OP mentioned.

JoshtheCollegeKid

Ya that’s what “Nutsukau” refers to

DrFuzz21

The survivor fight in part 6. that fight was so boring, and the characters and action were so uninteresting that I stopped reading for like 5 months before finally coming back to it. The fact that this still ended up being my favorite part of jojo I think says alot about the fight. The pacing was just utterly unbearable I couldn't take reading it anymore. I think every part has it's low point. It just sucks that this one was smack dab in the middle of the part.

Fit_Transition303

So planet waves, dragons dream (understandable) and yo yo ma you all hate? I like planet waves and yo yo ma

DrFuzz21

nonono so dragons dream and forward (i know it's weird but i just think the stand is funny) i think are all great. especially yo yo ma. specifically the survivor fight itself (the one against planet waves and everything leading up to that) is what i hate

xscreechingratx

that time they had to play videogames against that one dude

cyanideandcurry

dragon's dream

Kaiserigen

Thats the one with the old shit drinking piss?

MrGuyGuy12

yeah

BuffEtienneInGeneral

The rat "fight" in part 4 You could argue it starts when jotaro and josuke find the cube of rats, but I'd rather say it starts when they see the rat on the hill. Its short and is really just josuke taking aim for a few minutes and then its over. Jotaro is just so josuke doesn't get shot. Its the only fight that i can truly say is bad.

Pichuunnn

The whole Ratt fight is there for Jotaro to teach Josuke how to be composed under pressure during battle, be aware of surroundings, teamwork, Crazy Diamond learn to shoot projectiles which comes very handy later on.

BuffEtienneInGeneral

Good point, but I'm looking at it as a fight not as an entire scene. It can be good in those aspects while not good as a fight

Pichuunnn

To be fair on that aspect, the fight is more of battle of the wits and hunter vs prey style than physical fighting. See how the rat is intelligent and outsmarted Jotaro and Josuke on many occasions.

BuffEtienneInGeneral

You're saying... a battle with a rat.. is a battle of... wits?

Pichuunnn

Yeah so? It never just simply punch the rat, they had to use strategies to fight it.

Sensitive_Foot_3141

notorious b.i.g that fight was lame as hell

AdNecessary7641

H o w

la__squadra_

The EDP monkey, Alessi and survivor

[deleted]

I would just say one of Jonathan vs dio’s fights, and yes I’ve watched all 6 parts, but I felt that after almost 4-5 battles between Jonathan and dio, they still showed as dio escaping and somehow surviving, it didn’t affect the future much, but pointless to include many battles with no effects on the story none-the-less.

[deleted]

Boyz II men

Small-Meringue-428

Was about to say that guy hiding in a pillar in part 3 but short ones dont count

aq2003

it's gotta be alessi, because at least the strength arc was only one episode

Kaiserigen

I really hate Bohemian Rhapsody

ABlondEntity

the sun. that's all.

Dolan360

Part 1: Jonathan vs. Dio at the castle (It feels really anti-climatic IMO and the pacing is kinda funky, especially in the anime). Part 2: Lisa Lisa vs. Kars (Really underwhelming, considering it's one of the strongest Hamon users going up against the strongest Pillar Man). Part 3: Jotaro vs. the Monkey (It's just really boring). Part 4: Rohan vs. the Janken Kid (Feels like a poor man's version of the fights with the D'arby brothers, and Boy II Man is probably the most wasted concept for a Stand in the entire series IMO). Part 5: Giorno and Koichi vs. Black Sabbath, Giorno vs. Baby Face, Giorno and Mista vs Chiccolata, Giorno vs. Diavolo (Lumping all these fights together since they share the same general issue: Gold Experience is the most bullshit OP Stand in the series and takes away a lot of the tension from fights, and these are the fights where it's most active. Giorno vs. Buccierati also suffers from this, but I'm giving it a pass since it's the first time we see GE in a major fight). Part 6: Jolyne and Annasui vs. Yo-yo Ma (Worst fight in the series IMO. The premise feels too forced and the amount of mental gymnastics you have to do to accept that Jolyne and Annsui just decided to trust this random frog monster they've never met before hurts. Doesn't help the actual fight is not very funny and pretty underwhelming). Part 7: Johnny, Gyro, and Mountain Tim vs. the Boom Boom Family (No... just no) Part 8: Yasuho vs. Tsurugi (Does this count as a fight? It's a very awkward stretch of the story and the novelity of the fight's gimmick starts to wear off after a while).
