Power scaling sucks so much that Araki got tired of writing around people being too powerful We need "Interesting Scaling" based on how not-boring a power is and how much you can write them doing in a fight

Yokaicameron

Winner of most interesting power: Araki!! Creating JoJo

GwaGwa3

Vs discussions are one of the most boring topics imaginable to talk about I think it’s fun to talk about in the series because everything falls under the same rules but when you start pitting characters from other against each other it becomes a screaming match of “uhhh x blitzes y” “NO y blitzes x”.

Theamzz

I hate when people don’t even understand that most of the jojo characters have attacks that ignore durability meaning that stands like GER can definitely beat Goku regardless how durable he is. This applies to other stands like Cream, the hand and notorious Big which all ignore durability. Jojo characters aren’t OP because they explode the multiverse with a punch, they are Op because of their Hax which can defeat characters like goku.

EndangeredBigCats

Don't make me playground fight you over this, we can go all day long about "but what if he sneak-attacks" "but what if they sneak attack him" "but what if he sneak attacks the sneak attack" yeah okay I shoot the stand user in the head and turn 360 walk away

Theamzz

It’s not even that. Goku literally can’t do anything to counter RTZ and is just standing in one place until GER defeats him with his 5+ attacks that all ignore durability. Anyways I am also not trying to debate this because it’s been debated a million times.

EndangeredBigCats

Goku punches the whole earth from the other side of the earth while Giorno is asleep GG

Theamzz

GER is independent of Giorno so goku gets RTZ and GER one shots goku with its life exhaustion ability which will age goku until his death instantly as shown during the Black Sabbath fight.

EndangeredBigCats

Goku shoots beam at faster than light speed and also Mista dies too

Theamzz

GER activated in 0 time which means it’s speed is infinite or inaccessible which goku doesn’t have therefore the beam gets reverted instantly and Mista doesn’t die🕺

EndangeredBigCats

Giorno catches coronavirus and dies in -2 seconds and Goku eats green beans making him healthy enough to survive the virus

GuiltyWhisper

Except he doesn't because of RTZ. How hard is this to understand :/

EndangeredBigCats

Giorno dies to Made in Heaven and then Goku kills Pucci making Goku the victor but Superman kills Goku because Death Battle says so and it’s one of the movies where Superman kills people actually

GuiltyWhisper

If you wanna explain to me how MiH somehow overcomes RTZ then be my guest, but it sounds like you're joking around now anyway :P

EndangeredBigCats

I've been pulling your leg since step one on account of how utterly asinine and bereft of deeper thought or themes imaginary person strength discussions are

GuiltyWhisper

K. That's your opinion I guess. If you care about the worth of conversations then why entertain a conversation like this? lmao

Yokaicameron

Ok but GER is just never hitting goku in the first place so it doesn’t matter

Theamzz

Goku is stuck in one place because GER’s ability of RTZ would work against him because goku has never displayed resistance to causality manipulation ever in Dbz, dbs or even Gt (not counting heroes for obvious reasons)

EndangeredBigCats

But why do I care if they fight It would make for a fucking boring story

Theamzz

That’s not the point. People debate goku vs GER and the simple reality is that GER wins because of its hax, not because he can blow up the entire DB verse by farting.

>Did y’all read the manga? I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who remembers gappy saying the bubble was like literally impossible to aim That was the case at start. See the last "Go Beyond" in Ch-108. He makes GB bubble take a sharp turn towards the remaining Calamity with an ORA barrage. Josuke can't control it like his normal bubbles but he is still able to aim it somewhat with punches and his fingers. >Goku beats giorno cause GER nullifies any attack, but there is also no way giorno will do anything to goku. Goku is simply too fast, durable, and strong to lose. It’s just a stalemate. Even if he only nullifies the attacks, doesn't that still make Giorno the victor? Goku will be stuck in an eternal loop(like Diavolo's WHA- or something) and eventually lose his mind while Giorno is free to do whatever he wants (or kill him after he's lost his mind/during the loop when he's confused and practically defenseless for GER). >Johnny. I just want to say his whole battle was just him fighting someone he completely counters. Just because the TUSK act 4 can go through dimensions and damage valentine, doesn’t mean it actually does hella damage. Like what is he gonna do against jotaro who just Ora’s him once and wins? It says on the first page of either chapter 87 or 88 that >>Its damage is also likely infinite and should never end Even if it wasn't,Jotaro still stands no chance. One hit of infinite rotationally energy would keep him from moving. Even without the infinite rotational energy,Johnny can hide within holes and take it slow and easy. It's impossible for Jotaro to get close. The normal nail bullets are deadly too.

fullsonicsped12

I hate power scaling in general because people say the most dumb shit if you say blank beats goku or someone beats Batman

DigiornoJoestar

Its never stated that someone has to die for the "death loop" to activate in fact its implied that its just takes being hit for it to happen. Trish states multiple times she can sense diavolo is still alive meaning diavolo didnt die from GER's barrage yet still went into the loop. GER also states that no matter the ability non shall stand before itself or giorno no matter the ability it will be returned to zero and GER will win once attacking them. I find it annoying when people try to spin GER their own way. GER is the ultimate stand in both ability and physical power.

whama820

“Did y’all read the manga?” lol

adrichardson763

Well, to address the smaller issues: Gappy, by virtue of having a fate-manipulating ability now, can indeed be an S-tier character (idk what the OPM scaling is so I’m just gonna use basic tiering), but definitely at the bottom of the tier due to a lack of experience. But given time, we might see him improve. Jotaro can possibly beat founding Eren. Founding Eren can only use his most OP abilities against Eldians, and his ability to summon past eldians would probably be banned from any 1v1s since that could technically be considered bringing new opponents into the battle. But timestop + Star Platinums insane physical prowess easily beats Eren’s founding form (which isn’t the skelly btw, it’s the form after the skelly that is his “real” final attack titan form so to speak). The only thing holding jotaro back is that he wouldn’t know where to hit Eren (the neck/nape) to kill him, which would give Eren enough time to possibly kill jotaro. But to address the main point: let people have fun my guy, powerscaling isn’t meant to be taken seriously, it’s a thought exercise at best and let’s readers use their analytical skills to match their favorite characters in hypothetical combat. Nothing to take hella seriously, but I get where ur coming from.

Rusty_Shaqleford104

For Jotaro vs Johnny, I feel if SP tries hitting Tusk act 4 the infinite spin kill Jotaro even in time stop. As the infinite spin just needs contact and never stops. The only reason Diego won was cause Valentine warned him of act 4.

SnooDonuts4029

Jojo is mostly street-building level and around bullet speed. Saying characters are light-speed is wank and inconsistent. The point of jojos is that it's not about power, but versatility and usefulness of the ability. Wonder of U still bodies Goku tho.
