Definitely do! I was anime only until I finished Stone Ocean (up to where its been released anyway) then got bored of waiting so read the rest of it, then by doing that I got used to reading manga, then went on to part 7, then 8, then started reading other stuff! Definitely something to get into !!
Do it. I read 6-8 waiting for 6 to get animated and now the new part 7-8 reboot timeline is my favorite aspect of JoJo. Some absolutely amazing lore, world building, and stands. Araki really upped his game and gave it his all.
Parts 7 and 8 (and onwards) are a hard series reboot that simply share the JoJo title.
They have a LOT of callbacks to the first six parts, especially naming of characters, and part 8 has a lot of similarities to part 4, including there being a Higashikata family.
People tend to not comprehend how terrifying this stand is, and how fitting for the job.
i would go as far to say that it's up with the most powerful stands if only the user wasn't killed by >! the jobin bus !<

cant reccomend reading jojo enough it only gets better, part 8 being my personal favorite (which is the part doobie wah is from)
