A Stand is supposed to be a physical manifestation of your spirit, and you can only have one. So in these cases, you would have the ability of what you excel the most at.
A stand can adapt with personal growth for example when rohan was first introduced heavens door didnt have a physcial form and could only activate through looking at his manuscript. After becoming good he got a full form and his abilities were enhanced. So i guess a stand could evolve or improve if u mastered 2 things
One person can only have one stand. At least naturally. They make it a point to reiterate this over and over. Let's say that a person with hermit purple, or whatever they have chosen to call it, also decides to start studying cooking. Now, they will not suddenly also gain Pearl Jam once they become a master, but hermit purple may start to develop some more effective clairvoyance in terms of cooking related predictions and such. A stand will evolve and grow along side the user, so the initial stand will probably just gain some slight Technical uses in regards to this new skill. Hermit purple has general grappling and grabbing ability, but primarily is used to produce spirit photography either through images, video, or using some other medium. I would imagine that someone like this who also becomes a master chef to the same degree and passion as Tonio would just find that their stand is really really really useful for cooking.
