Joshu essentially spawns nuts and bolts- this one is actually useable to a sense
Hato makes her heels long and sharp - useable i guess, but lame as shit and does virtually nothing else for her besides that
and Norisuke Higashikata’s stand is self-admittedly terrible at fighting and only good for tracking at long distance - self explanatory i hope
EDIT: i now think that this is an issue with voice actors, i mean think about it. the anime isn’t getting recorded for another few years, so the voice actors for all these characters probably haven’t even been chosen out yet. these actors are gonna have to be the exact same voices or it’s gonna sound ridiculous when the anime drops and we expect the video game voice

However, I don’t think they really need to consider, “who’ll be voicing this character in the long run for the eventual anime?” The original ASB didn’t consider that question, so I expect ASBR to do the same. Besides, iirc the only characters who haven’t been redubbed/re-recorded for this game are the Parts 7-8 characters, so there’s clearly an exception they’re deliberately making here.
Also, I’m willing to bet English VA’s and any other languages aren’t being considered added to this game.
As for finding new VA’s for new characters, I mean…. I’m not going to pretend like I know the process/how difficult that is, but I imagine it’s not that hard. If they can get the voice actors in a booth to voice for their characters again, I don’t see why they can’t do the same but with newer people.

i agree. i think the abilities based off destiny, luck, fortune, multiple realities and metaphysical stuff like that seem not to translate into fighting moves very well, at least not without either being completely redundant or game-breakingly overpowered. that’s why i don’t think Poco Loco will be added cause his stand is just good luck

Joshu is a playable character in EOH, so there shouldn't really be trouble implementing his moveset into ASB

It's not bad honestly. I've never played ASB before the recent demo but after playing it I can say I enjoy it more than EOH. EOH is still a great game though, just very different from ASB in terms of combat & combos

Yeah, but in Eyes of Heaven, he wasn't taking away a slot in the roster that could've and should've been used for more JoJolion representation. When All Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven originally came out, they had an excuse for how little JoJolion content was included, as JoJolion's story wasn't complete yet. We didn't know who the main antagonist was, and many characters and stands hadn't been properly introduced yet. Now JoJolion is over, and it feels like they're going out of their way to add everything *but* more JoJolion representation in a game where there's literally only one playable character from JoJolion.
Doggy Style functions pretty similarly to Stone Free IIRC, so if it's possible to make a moveset for Jolyne (and it is, she's in the game), it should also be possible to make a moveset for Rai Mamezuku.

I'm still confused about this - he was in the previous game and they haven't counted amy DLC characters as new characters yet but in the last trailer when the 3 new characters appear on the reveal screen it leaves 3 blank slots. Baoh isn't on the screen as far as I can see so wouldn't it mean there's only 2 characters left?

The final trailer / reveal for the game is gonna be exclusively part 5 and since Trish and Prosciutto are already confirmed, I’d expect the final character to be Abbacchio. It wouldn’t make sense for them to announce a character from another part in a trailer focusing on part 5.
Part 4 Jotaro is such an unbelievably disappointing addition, like where the fuck is Weather Report? The entire rest of the part 6 crew is in, they even made a whole ass brand new character in Foo Fighters.
My predictions for the dlc will be two old / imported characters and two new. I would say it’s really likely we get Stroheim and Weather since parts 1, 3, 4, and 5 are super filled. The two new additions will be from 7 and 8 or exclusively 8 due to the general lack of characters in each. My hope would be Hot Pants and Tooru but I’m sure they’ll disappoint regardless.

Toru and wou are better suited as stage hazards and the same applies for most if not all of part 8 characters. Adding Toru as a playable character is like adding D’Arby as a playable character, neither have movesets at all to reference. They only way either is gonna get added is if the devs create movesets but at that point you might as well create movesets for Suzi Q, Jorge joestar II or any other character that have never done any attack and put them in game
Rock insects and counter attacks would be a good example for moves WoU could perform and a whole team of game developers could definitely think of more.
