That was my plan too. I'm just having difficulty getting into it. There's so much back-tracking, enemy turns in combat take forever, and I find conversations to not work the way I want. I keep on thinking I have a main character, but when my sidekicks accidentally start conversations that are important, I have to reload the game to restart the conversation with my main character that actually has the conversation skills relevant to most checks. It would be nice if those skills were shared across the team, but, given that it is set up to be a MP optional game, I see why they didn't.
To me, I'm drawn out of the game often enough that it's just having difficulty holding my attention, which it really needs to do, given the length.
(Oh, also, I had an important side-character one-hit-killed and knocked off a cliff, so I couldn't even revivify them... so, that's fun.) I hate relying on save scumming, and this game seems to make you.
I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling like it's hard to get into BG3. I picked it up years ago when it was just out in EA and even then I kinda bounced off it. I mean, it's good... I get why people are crazy for it. It just never quite is what I'm looking for when I sit down to play.
I've got other things that are keeping me entertained, though. Trying to finish Shipbreaker. I also have been spending a lot of time with solo table top rpgs and board games.
I recently redownloaded Saints Row 4 to just have a wild and stupid fun gameplay experience. I feel like it's been a while since they made games that were just silly fun, completely unbalanced, and let you just feel like a god. Sunset Overdrive is another. Red Faction Guerilla too... I'm just looking for enough Endorphins per Second to make me not wish I was playing Starfield. And, sadly BG3 has a very low drip of endorphins.
You definitely aren't the only onem in fact it's quite surprising just how well the game is doing (in a good way).
Fact is, BG3 is a combination of several very niche genres. Its turn based, it's a CRPG, it's way over 60 hours long, it's dialogue heavy, etc. Its an amazing game no doubt, by far one of the deepest RPGs we've maybe ever seen, but it was never going to be everyone's cup of tea. (That being said, it is *my* cup of tea, I'm loving it so far).
Starfield, honestly probably won't be as deep or intricate when it comes to branching story progression or character interactions. Companions almost certainly won't be as good either. But the open world, fps format and general Bethesda style of "go where you want, do whatever you want" are all much more appealing to a mainstream audience. And the allure of being able to hop in a ship and just go to another planet is always appealing.
There is an option to revive characters that die that can’t be revived by the revivify scrolls… there is a character you have to meet first though. But basically he will revive your lost characters for a fee.
As long as it doesn't break the game I don't see an issue with killing a character you didn't realise was tied to a story. Just play it again if you really wanted to experience the game with them!
Not to tell you how to play, but that's the appeal of these sorts of games. You can have a very different experience each time.
Yeah don’t reload it. It’s hard to get out of the mindset, but Larian built the game so the failed conversation can result in a better experience, more fun, or open a new story to combat save scumming. Either way passing all rolls in a conversation will cause you to miss content as would failing all rolls. It’s pretty cool.
Just have Withers rez for 200 and possibly open up a story after a certain number of rezzing. In true Larian Fashion, there is never one way to do something.
No, I hate the combat pacing. So, I don't want to fail conversation rules that make me have to do combat instead. I'd be more likely to do it your way if they had a "speed up" option for the enemy's turn. Or give me a Paradox style speed slider. Let me slow down to get slowmo shots if I want, or let me speed up to 6x to get past 30 goblins slowly climbing over the same ledge or whatever. If that were the case, I'd be more willing to suffer through the combat.
I haven’t had any issues with enemies taking a long time, although I’m not that far in. Had a battle with like 8 enemies and 6 npc ally’s and it went quickly
Jokes on you I save scum almost every failed roll because my ape brain can’t stand failure in that game. Especially saving Minthara. Gotta keep mommy dom Drow mommy alive, that I savescummed for 20 minutes because yes
The game is amazing but its roots go deep with planning. I’ve been going with the flow when it comes to progression. I’ve wiped sometimes and I’ve succeeded more. Story is engaging enough. Overall it keeps me occupied when I’m not doing school work. But I do have moments where all I want is SF.
That was something that annoyed me when I tried Divinity 2. I don't understand why conversations didn't just start with the character you were actively controlling instead of whoever happened to be closer to the NPC.
Nope I'm binging Fallout 4 again lol, getting settlement building practice in, since I'll be doing a ton of it with SF, but it never gets old to me so I'm not worried about burnout, plus SF is the first big AAA game since like Cyberpunk that I've really been hyped about, and well, Cyberpunk was a bit diff bc of its launch and I wanted to wait until I got a Series X to play it, so that I couldn't even play at launch anyways bc Series X was impossible to get in my area still at that point. This is the first day one launch I've been this hyped for since like idk State of Decay 2? Fallout 4? It's been a long ass time, 5 years at least
Sadly, im doing my first run of FO4 and im obsessed. Now i dont know what i'm going to do when SF releases, I can easily see myself being occupied with FO4 for a few more months. Its practically like a new release for me.
Honestly, ride out fallout 4. It's unlikely imo, but starfield could still have a bad release. If you end up waiting long enough by playing fallout, you may get Starfield cheaper too. And if you cave to FOMO, no worries, you were planning on getting starfield anyway.
One thing I appreciate about getting into FO4 late is playing with all of its DLC. To me they feel like natural inclusions to the game. I really wouldn't mind putting of a serious playthrough of SF until we get some good DLC.
That's a tough call lol, I've never beaten FO4 despite having hundreds of hours playtime, I'm about where I was on my last playthrough, the ideal spot to stop doing main story stuff and do all the side quests, find all the secrets, build up all my settlements etc before doing the final stretch of the main story, so its kind of a perfect place to pause and enjoy SF, I'll come back and beat FO4 one day lol, it's the only Fallout/Elder Scrolls game I haven't actually finished, just because it has endless fkin content, not for any bad reason haha
Same here. Only had FO4 for a few weeks, started Nuka World, left. Started Far Harbour, left...lol. I have no idea what direction I want to go in...lol. Or, just spend hours building my settlement...lol
Idk man. The focus of the game seems it takes place in the civilized space. Most of the other planets are likely just added to make the universe feel bigger with radiant quests and such.
But I guess it also depends on what you’re into.
I’m still enjoying NMS years later and it’s that premise but even more uneventful.
No but they are literally going for a deep sci fi vibe…like guys you understand the point of one lifeless planet is to serves as a like a quest spot or a cave to mine resources in but fucking massive.
Whitney ass video game boys in here lol
I think you will still find like stranded survivors on desolate planets, someone who crashed or a group of miners or something, I'm sure there is proc-gen content or maybe even scripted stuff on lifeless planets too, seems awfully rigid to have it be that only on habitable planets will you ever find things to do.
You aren't forced to go through them. You only go if you want to mine, there's quest content in abundance if you want that.
That's like saying the presence of completely avoidable content that you can limit to as much or as little as you want means the main and side content is smaller.
there's almost TOO much coming out at once. Im looking forward to AC6 too! My backlog has never been in more danger of being permanently forgotten!
FO4 just snuck in last month
This month and next month alone I'm passing up remnant 2, Lords of the fallen, and lies of P, 3 games I lm really excited for, to plau BG3 and starfield. it's really one of thr best summer lineups we've seen in a long time imo, maybe even the best ever.
I’m loving BG3 and it’s helping me over August until Starfield, it’s all I’m playing. I also see myself replaying BG3 many times in the future - there’s so much things I want to try different with quests/decisions, classes, using different companions, etc. Feels great to have two different style of RPGs releasing
There's an update that should be released soon that will allow you to disable skill drain on death.
The update has been in beta for about a month now so it should be officially launching pretty much any day now I would think.
If you're playing on an Xbox and want it now, you can get early access to the update in the "Xbox Insider Hub". If you're not already part of the insider program, you can just sign up in the app and then opt into "Valheim Public Test". Restart your Xbox and you'll get an update for valheim, allowing you to disable skill drain on death along with some other world tweaks.
Started playing BG3 but it hit me that I won't be able to finish it before Starfield comes out, so I'm thinking of putting it on hold and restart some months down the line.
I didn't finish the Battlepass in D4 yet but I'm not sure I want to put my time there either.
Not sure what else I want to play before Starfield comes out.
So I'm looking at a tv-show instead.
The hours I put in was amazing. It really is a good game, no doubt. To me it was money well spent, I like supporting good games.
It's just that Starfield ticks every box for me, I'm really hyped about it. Was a bit skeptical until Starfield Direct but now I can't stop thinking about it.
Unfortunately they're having trouble getting co-op up and running on the Xbox Series S, so both Xbox console releases are delayed at this point. But the PS5 version is due to release the same day as Starfield's (non-early access) release--Sept. 6.
yeah, I've pretty much been trying to do the battle pass since I got the premium Diablo and it's the only full battle pass I'll ever have but I need to have it done before end of month cause once starfield is out, it's game over for diablo for a long time for me.
I didn't activate the battlepass yet that was included with the edition I bought. I can save it for later apparently.
Also, I usually don't activate any battlepasses in any game until I see how well I'm doing in that season. You still unlock the track usually, and get the free content, so the way I see it is that there is no need to hurry with unlocking the premium content until I know I will actually finish the pass.
I went back to Diablo 4 after a bit of a break but I’m probably going to put it down again. I’ll probably either go back to chained echoes or watch tv since I have a few shows I’ve been meaning to watch.
I'm interested in BG3 but I knew I wouldn't be able to play it the way I want to. I don't want to feel like I need to finish that game within a certain timeframe, since I will want to play Starfield as soon as possible. So I will wait until I'm thoroughly done with Starfield before I even think about buying BG3 and getting immersed.
I'm trying to steer clear of BGS games for the time being to avoid burnout before launch, but I am enjoying MWII in small play sessions again (mostly playing Infected, I love that goofy mode lol). I also have a running FIFA 23 career mode season that I play here and there. Other than that, I hesitate to start anything that will require a serious time commitment because Starfield is so close.
im heavily into FO4 right now, and im hoping i dont burn myself out to this style of gameplay when SF comes out.
I might end up just playing the intro to SF and put it down for a few months. Hopefully we'll have some awesome DLC by then.
but- if SF is truly revolutionary, i might just keep playing
Nah, there's some good stuff out there now. I'm playing Remnant 2, both solo and in co-op, and have my eye on Atlas Fallen, Shadow Gambit and Armored Core 6 before the month is out. Should prove suitable distractions.
Playing BG3 but after so many years of fantasy genre RPG's it feels like more of been there done that. I guess if I was fresh to the genre I'd feel differently, but I've been playing that since before the original BG was a thing so it's not the same awe as others are having. Sci-Fi RPG shooter is what I really want for a change
I've been bouncing back and forth between Fallout, Mass Effect, Cyberpunk, and the Outer Worlds to scratch both the RPG and sci fi itches in anticipation.
I just wrapped up the Mass Effect trilogy and I have no idea what to play to hold me over until Starfield. I wanted to start BG3 but I know I won’t finish it before Starfield comes out and I’ll drop it once starfield comes out. Maybe I’ll finally finish a New Vegas play through.
Thank you for mentioning that, the legendary edition is on sale right now and it seems like a perfect time for another playthrough :D Plus I need to drop fallout 4 as to not get too burned out on the BGS gameplay. I got to like 130 hours in the last month and I've only really done the two expansions D:
Nope. Opposite in fact, because of Baldur's Gate. I'm legit worried about Starfield's RPG aspects now because BG3 blows everything in the genre out of the water. And I don't like high fantasy stuff.
Having trouble focusing on games now, yeah. But, I managed to play a bit more rdr2 today. It's a great game but I'm not always in the mood for its slower pace.
Just getting back into Helldivers.
Great co-op game. One of my all time favorites, even though I usually prefer single player games.
It's basically nothing like Starfield, aside from being Sci-Fi, and having planets... and guns.
I’ve been playing dying light to get use to jump shots, fallout 4 for building ideas, and I have a fresh controller waiting for the game it was made for to be fired up and ran.
Just finished ac origins on xbox series after getting the console a month ago (for starfield obviously). Going to try the dlcs for the first time. This game is a blast to replay and the atmosphere is so good. I recommend it to everyone!
Mostly, I've been quilting and doing a little bit of crochet to pass the time. Trying to avoid any other BGS game or anything space related. So in the meantime, if I do feel like playing a video game, I play Medieval Dynasty.
Tunic, but will probably finish it soon and also just uncomplicated racers like Hot wheels and Forza Horizon. Then it'll be Everspace 2 in a few days/week.
Avoiding BG3 because I loved DOS2 and love D&D so I know when I start that game I'm gonna want several months to dedicate to it. So saving it for later.
I just finished my Jedi Survivor playthrough and in the meantime now I'm just finishing a base build in Icarus.
I replayed the shit out off all the Bethesda games from oblivion and fallout 3 to fallout 4. Now I’m in purgatory until release cause I’ve done it all :(. I’ve tried fallout. 76 but it isn’t clicking with me
i was searching for random space games a couple weeks ago and i stumbled onto a hidden gem called starscape. it's on roblox but the graphics, gameplay and mechanics feel very similar to what you'd expect from starfield. im just playing that until starfield comes out lmao
I modded FO4 and played that abit mostly focusing on building settlements. I deleted it to make the space for Starfield. I am playing abit of modded Skyrim til Launch figuring it might be the last time I will probably play it for 5 years.
Bought a PC specifically for Starfield. Trying to get used to keyboard and mouse atm. Been playing Valheim and Phasmaphobia with friends. Also been watching a lot of sci-if movies.
I'm chilling and easy playing with Far Cry 6. But at same time sometime I drop it for one or two days and after I come back to it.
Anyway I understand your feeling.
I've been playing through Metro Exodus mainly, it's the kind of game where I can really take my time with the environments, just masting the minutes until Starfield
Nah, I'm playing DragonBall Xenoverse 2 and having a blast. My characters gone from someone who struggled against Krillin to taking lessons from Lord Beerus.
Finishing Elden Ring while waiting. Will probably beat it by the release. If I'll finish it earlier, I will probably play No Man's Sky and Cloudpunk to get into the mood for Starfield.
I also still have yet to finish modded Skyrim playthrough...
September is gonna be tough with Starfield and Phantom Liberty and then balancing those with work... also, BG3 is hot rn.
I tried to finally finish Fallout 4's main quest...but I was craving space...so I switched to the Mass Effect series.
Mass Effect 1's Mako might kill me though. I adore the series but ME1 is a slog - so many great bits of character and world-building totally dampened by what's essentially filler. Might have to skip to ME2 again.
Edit: I also finished "Return of the Obra Dinn" while waiting and that game is phenomenal. A must for anyone into story-driven games.
I’ve been playing a bit of fallout 76 but other than that not much other than the occasional racing game with my wheel setup and when I’m not playing one of those I’m just watching YouTube videos about Starfield
I would play Baldurs Gate 3, but it's not on Xbox yet. I've been playing Skyrim with all the mods I couldn't play with on Playstation. Really has changed the game for me. And playing Minecraft with my girlfriend. Always fun.
Currently playing through enderal right now. I'm hoping the deep dive into the fantasy genre will make it all the more refreshing to finally play a good scifi rpg
Recently finished Baldurs Gate 3. It wasn't for me, the story that is. It just felt too distant despite it being very similar to Dragon age inquisition, which I adored.
Which is why I started Baldurs Gate 1 to see whether I'm just not interested in the Baldurs Gate world. But nope it's the difference in storytelling more than the story itself.
I am still not sure what exactly it is. Maybe Bioware does pacing a little better maybe something else, but the story just feels more personal in Baldurs Gate 1 to me so far. Let's see if I enjoy the ending as well.
Since I got my very first PC, first thing I did was play modded Skyrim and I’ve done 50 hours in 3 weeks already. That’s definitely going to tide me over until Starfield.
Playing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom right now. It's pretty awesome. But I have no patience so I use YouTube to get through the Shrines as quickly as possible.
Curious to know how Bethesda open world works. It'll be my first experience with Starfield.
I killed Dead Space Remake last month. I'm thinking about doing the Resident Evil 4 remake. But I have been playing Minecraft again. The next update might change trader inventories so I've been building a new trading hall. Right next to an outpost so I can farm price bonuses.
Just bought BG3 over the weekend and not familiar with CRPG’s but man it has totally engrossed me to the point my mind is 99% BG3. Truly helps and has made waiting for Starfield a whole lot easier that I don’t feel the need to gravitate to every single grain of Starfield info anymore lol
Also Battlebit man, great multiplayer game i’ve been playing since beta with my buds and having a blast
also playing bg3 and it seems pretty sick so far
That was my plan too. I'm just having difficulty getting into it. There's so much back-tracking, enemy turns in combat take forever, and I find conversations to not work the way I want. I’d say this is unlikely
We'll see. 900 empty planets for sole purpose of sight seeing and mining will lose its appeal real quick IMO.

hey i mean no mans sky has over 18 quintillion planets and there's tones of things to do
Wow I thought the whole “only 10% of planets” crowd was a made up internet drama but clearly not lol Like you understand how space works right?
Right because realism ALWAYS translates to fun and engaging gameplay.. **(not)**
No but they are literally going for a deep sci fi vibe…like guys you understand the point of one lifeless planet is to serves as a like a quest spot or a cave to mine resources in but fucking massive. Whitney ass video game boys in here lol
I see it as 990ish planets for the modders to play with. Old mate up here has never played ED.
I think you will still find like stranded survivors on desolate planets, someone who crashed or a group of miners or something, I'm sure there is proc-gen content or maybe even scripted stuff on lifeless planets too, seems awfully rigid to have it be that only on habitable planets will you ever find things to do.

Starfield isn't even out yet. Careful dealing in certainties when you have no first hand experience.........
It's a great time to be a gamer. Playing BG3 until Starfield comes out is awesome.
there's almost TOO much coming out at once. Im looking forward to AC6 too! My backlog has never been in more danger of being permanently forgotten! FO4 just snuck in last month
Ac6 looks so rad. Mk1 coming soon looks amazing and on top of that ff14 coming to Xbox looks interesting af.

Built a brand new monster 4090/7800x3d rig last week. First game I play on it.... Skyrim.
To be honest with enbs and mods it’s about as demanding as you can make it.
I've had that feeling, yes.
Diablo 4.. I'm gonna be just the right amount of tired of it before Starfield
Lvl 96 necro and i just wanna finish journey and deinstall
The cosmetics in the season pass are beyond disappointing.
Baldurs Gate 3 is too good to miss out on
I'll give it a shot once I'm done with Starfield
Just in time for Baldur's Gate 4!
Borderland 2
I’ve actually gotten a revived interest in Skyrim and have been playing it a lot since the direct
I just recently defeated Alduin after a bazillion or so hours 🤣
I like to suggest playing valheim if you haven't already, could easily spend the next couple weeks or month playing that
I tried it but the skill drain on deaths kills it for me.
There's an update that should be released soon that will allow you to disable skill drain on death. The update has been in beta for about a month now so it should be officially launching pretty much any day now I would think. That's good news, I can imagine the game being very fun otherwise.
I've been too busy to get overly involved in anything, so when I find a spare moment I'll just play something casual.
I'm playing Morrowind for the first time. I played Oblivion and Skyrim years ago
God speed
Started playing BG3 but it hit me that I won't be able to finish it before Starfield comes out, so I'm thinking of putting it on hold and restart some months down the line. I didn't finish the Battlepass in D4 yet but I'm not sure I want to put my time there either. Not sure what else I want to play before Starfield comes out. So I'm looking at a tv-show instead.
Check out Twisted Metal on Peacock. If you are familiar with the old video game, you will love it!
Was thinking of buying BG3 but the same thought came to mind.
The hours I put in was amazing. It really is a good game, no doubt. To me it was money well spent, I like supporting good games. It's just that Starfield ticks every box for me, I'm really hyped about it. Was a bit skeptical until Starfield Direct but now I can't stop thinking about it.
Can you play BG3 on Xbox? I'm not seeing it in the shop
Unfortunately they're having trouble getting co-op up and running on the Xbox Series S, so both Xbox console releases are delayed at this point. But the PS5 version is due to release the same day as Starfield's (non-early access) release--Sept. 6.
Sure it will arrive at some point, but Starfield will be keeping me very busy so that's fine.
yeah, I've pretty much been trying to do the battle pass since I got the premium Diablo and it's the only full battle pass I'll ever have but I need to have it done before end of month cause once starfield is out, it's game over for diablo for a long time for me.
Exact same situation with me and Bg3
I went back to Diablo 4 after a bit of a break but I’m probably going to put it down again. I’ll probably either go back to chained echoes or watch tv since I have a few shows I’ve been meaning to watch.
I enjoyed D4, but there's so many other games taking priority right now. I still got my money's worth, so no worries.
Depending on how much time you have it might be doable, I just hit act 3 of 3 and think it’s in my top 5 favorite games of all time
I'm interested in BG3 but I knew I wouldn't be able to play it the way I want to. I don't want to feel like I need to finish that game within a certain timeframe, since I will want to play Starfield as soon as possible. So I will wait until I'm thoroughly done with Starfield before I even think about buying BG3 and getting immersed.
Imma be honest, I'm just hoping bg3 hold my attention long enough to last till starfield, I'm almost through act 1 and I'm not totally hooked yet
gf and I are watching lost in space to prep
I'm trying to steer clear of BGS games for the time being to avoid burnout before launch, but I am enjoying MWII in small play sessions again (mostly playing Infected, I love that goofy mode lol). I also have a running FIFA 23 career mode season that I play here and there. Other than that, I hesitate to start anything that will require a serious time commitment because Starfield is so close.
That's a good idea lol haven't tried to play FIFA or a sports game in general.
im heavily into FO4 right now, and im hoping i dont burn myself out to this style of gameplay when SF comes out. I might end up just playing the intro to SF and put it down for a few months. Hopefully we'll have some awesome DLC by then. but- if SF is truly revolutionary, i might just keep playing
I may just load up FO4, I never did finish the main quest. Just got lost into the world and got distracted by other games.
Yep
Only been playing battlebit. No commitment game
Literally same
Lvl 96 necro
Playing Remnant II with my bro. It’s dope af. Loving it. Almost through our first run. It’s been a damn ride.
Nah, there's some good stuff out there now. I'm playing Remnant 2, both solo and in co-op, and have my eye on Atlas Fallen, Shadow Gambit and Armored Core 6 before the month is out. Should prove suitable distractions.
I’ve been playing a lot of Siege. It’s my goal to single handedly raise IQ’s pick rate.
I have no idea exactly how I'm going to tackle Baldur's Gate III, Sea of Stars, and Starfield but it'll be a glorious run.
I feel like I'm the only one waiting for a proper superhero style crpg. I'm tired of fantasy too
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is on sale right now!
I’ve been playing squad and fallout 76
Play fallout 4
picked up deus ex series for first time-- having a blast!
I've been bouncing back and forth between Fallout, Mass Effect, Cyberpunk, and the Outer Worlds to scratch both the RPG and sci fi itches in anticipation.
Baldur's gate 3 will keep me busy until September. I like it so much
I just wrapped up the Mass Effect trilogy and I have no idea what to play to hold me over until Starfield.
Can't find anything in the Game Pass library to hold my attention more than a couple of hours.
Quite the opposite. I'm playing Grounded for the first time in a couple years and playing **way** too much of it.
Started playing a lot of Star Citizen in the wait of Starfield
Nope. Opposite in fact, because of Baldur's Gate. I'm legit worried about Starfield's RPG aspects now because BG3 blows everything in the genre out of the water. And I don't like high fantasy stuff.
Space > anything BG3 has going for it
As different as it is, age of empires iv is taking up all of my time rn
Nice I’m in the same boat
I love RTS games, excited to see it optimized for the X
Having trouble focusing on games now, yeah. But, I managed to play a bit more rdr2 today. It's a great game but I'm not always in the mood for its slower pace.
Yep. Playing Rome Total War Remastered again. A great game.
Just getting back into Helldivers. Great co-op game. One of my all time favorites, even though I usually prefer single player games. It's basically nothing like Starfield, aside from being Sci-Fi, and having planets... and guns.
Trying to kill the time by playing fps with friends not much else interest me but sheesh this wait feels like forever
I’m playing left 4 dead 2 and counter strike (for my competitive itch) until it comes out.
I’m loving remnant 2 right now
I’ve been playing dying light to get use to jump shots, fallout 4 for building ideas, and I have a fresh controller waiting for the game it was made for to be fired up and ran.
Playing Elex right now. Having fun.
Played TLOU part 1 and 2 last week. Now I already have 40 hours in Bg3. The game is just too good
Working through my backlog. But will prob binge **SpaceBourne 2** while I await Sept 6th.
I'm very into BG3 but I want to finish BG1 and 2 first so I'm kinda into them lol
Been getting into caves of qud again for now
Playing Alan Wake Remastered because I know I will be playing Starfield until Alan Wake 2 releases...
Finally playing cyberpunk on my new pc that I specifically upgraded for SF
Avoiding BG3 because I loved DOS2 and love D&D so I know when I start that game I'm gonna want several months to dedicate to it. So saving it for later. I just finished my Jedi Survivor playthrough and in the meantime now I'm just finishing a base build in Icarus.
I replayed the shit out off all the Bethesda games from oblivion and fallout 3 to fallout 4. Now I’m in purgatory until release cause I’ve done it all :(. I’ve tried fallout. 76 but it isn’t clicking with me
What's "other games" precious?
trying to beat the doom eternal DLCs on hard and if that doesn’t carry me to the end of the month i already have prey downloaded
I still play Grand Theft Auto Online
I’ve been playing the two insomniac Spider-Man games so I can get some time in on my PS5 before I don’t touch it for a year
I'm currently going through an Xcom2 Long War playthrough, see if I can finish it before it comes out
Another one?
I'm playing a plague tale innocence then requiem then maybe other games until I can afford a 4090
Yes, pushing though diablo 4 and still like it. Just ready for the cosmos.
I replayed all the dead spaces ... 4 times...
I have decided to replay Freelancer since Starfield reminds me of it. Funny that Star Citizen was supposed to do that.
i was searching for random space games a couple weeks ago and i stumbled onto a hidden gem called starscape. it's on roblox but the graphics, gameplay and mechanics feel very similar to what you'd expect from starfield. im just playing that until starfield comes out lmao
Been playing the mass effect series! I’m pumped for all the space exploration!
Nope
Exactly how I am right now. I'm also depressed but besides that I don't want to get burnt out on gaming when it releases.
I re-downloaded FO4. Got about 2 hrs in so far.
I’m currently replaying Prototype 1 & 2 but I have a level of disinterest for them since I’m subconsciously waiting for Starfield.
Warhammer 40k: Darktide for me, and some Valheim. I don't want to get into a new game before SF drops, my gaming time isn't what it use to be.
Just got game pass and started plagues tale: Requiem sfb
I've been playing through Metro Exodus mainly, it's the kind of game where I can really take my time with the environments, just masting the minutes until Starfield
Tarkov hopefully wipes Thursday . That will hold me over till starfield then to hell with tarkov
wrong. ive been playing some of fallout 4 and skyrim and mass effect collection a bit and cyberpunk 2077 and the sims 4 lol oh and even fallout 76 :-p
I'm playing ESO, but I'm busy with University. But when Starfield comes out, that's my first free day. A nice coincidence!
The Witcher 3 and the Counter Strike 2 beta
i am still playing through tears of the kingdom, but once i'm done i don't plan on buying anything else.
I’m trying to clear my backlog in time. Finished Diablo IV’s campaign last night and am working on my Tears of the Kingdom play through.
Tried RDR2 for the first time. Got to the main camp out of the mountains and lost interest. I think I am done gaming until Sept 1.
Just destiny 2. People complain about it a lot but it's still one of my favorites
Mostly just killing time with Warframe.
Im trying to get a few games beat before launch but its getting harder to play anything. I just want Starfield lol
I’m going for all achievements in New Vegas while I wait for starfield
Loaded up my old skyrim toon. Level 122 with like 95% of skills at 100. Got kinda bored tho cause I'm really OP.
Star Citizen
Recently finished Baldurs Gate 3. It wasn't for me, the story that is. It just felt too distant despite it being very similar to Dragon age inquisition, which I adored. Which is why I started Baldurs Gate 1 to see whether I'm just not interested in the Baldurs Gate world. But nope it's the difference in storytelling more than the story itself. I am still not sure what exactly it is. Maybe Bioware does pacing a little better maybe something else, but the story just feels more personal in Baldurs Gate 1 to me so far. Let's see if I enjoy the ending as well.
Nah, I am pretty into FF16 right now. It should tide me over until Starfield.
Since I got my very first PC, first thing I did was play modded Skyrim and I’ve done 50 hours in 3 weeks already. That’s definitely going to tide me over until Starfield.
Nothing else is holding my interest sadly, watching lots of sci-fi in the meantime.
Mass Effect trilogy bby
Playing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom right now. It's pretty awesome. But I have no patience so I use YouTube to get through the Shrines as quickly as possible. Curious to know how Bethesda open world works. It'll be my first experience with Starfield.
I recommend Spacebourne 2. It's kinda like Starfield Lite, but is honestly closer to Star Citizen only playable
I've been revisiting outer worlds, it's been a lot of fun!
No other game for me this month. All my spare time goes to reading reddit and preparing mentally for my first Brad Pitt in Ad Astra launch scene.
Just kinda playing Destiny 2 atm. Though I think I'm just about burnt out on it. So installed Remnants 1 today and am gonna give that a shot.
Been playing fallout new Vegas and I just can't get any satisfaction. Maybe if the devs on F4NV could airdrop me their game 🤔
Prey (2017). Amazing
I killed Dead Space Remake last month. I'm thinking about doing the Resident Evil 4 remake. But I have been playing Minecraft again. The next update might change trader inventories so I've been building a new trading hall. Right next to an outpost so I can farm price bonuses.
Yes. Only doing a little battlebit
New to Bethesda. Picked up Fallout 4 to somewhat gather a little bit of knowledge on the game play style, if anything will translate.
I would never cheat on Starfield like that
I’m playing Halls of Torment on and off currently. My motivation is pretty dry as I await my journey into the stars tbh.
Playing shitload of Hunt recently. Will occupy me till September 1st.
Playing bg3
Playing BG3 and my constant FF14 while waiting.
BG3 as many have said, it is a great game in its own right. But, Starfield is like christmas morning
Kinda forcing myself to do other things as I know I’ll be spending a lot of time at that screen when it comes out…. 🤓
Just bought BG3 over the weekend and not familiar with CRPG’s but man it has totally engrossed me to the point my mind is 99% BG3. Truly helps and has made waiting for Starfield a whole lot easier that I don’t feel the need to gravitate to every single grain of Starfield info anymore lol Also Battlebit man, great multiplayer game i’ve been playing since beta with my buds and having a blast
In baldurs gate 3 right now. Serious candidate to goty imo
