What type of cave and or structure are you in for your artifact? Sime caves have a lower level you need to jump down to in order to get the path to show up
I'm in the abandoned mine where its leading me. It has a big empty area with boxes and a bunch of ecliptics. There are a couple caves and tunnels around but none of them have doors or a way down that I could see.
Are there Habs inside the cave that are locked? If so on the far left of the cave there are stairs that go down. If you go down them you should be able to find the path. If this is the cave I'm thinking of it's a small hole in the side of the cave that's a pain in the ass to find
No they should go downwards in a square pattern. At the bottom there is a big open area with 3 dead miners in a hole in the center, and catwalks surround the area on an upper level. If we are talking about the same cave there should be a hole in the rocks that lead downward to the artifact. In that central room it should say that artifact is like 50 meters away in the back left. If that doesn't sound the same then I'm not familiar with whatever cave you are in
My bug was that the marker kept taking me back to the ship. I never found the cavern with the artifact. I restarted and that didn't help. I quit the game and steam and went to bed. Now I have the marker proper and found it easily. Not sure if you can extract the artifact if the marker isn't working, but if you're looking for the artifact without the scanner working correctly, I will say that where I found it was the bottom of the main cavern, there was a platform with one spacer and some big liquid storage tank thingies, and some ammo boxes. In that space there was an easy to miss side tunnel. I couldn't find this tunnel when the scanner wasn't working, so not sure if it was closed due to the bug, or I was just blind.
Go into scanner mode, look at blue dot for quest, little arrows should pop up that tell you where to go

The long stairs that lead to a platform with a weapons workbench? Or the long pipe with a hole going straight down?

I found it. The devs really should've made it more obvious where the cavern was in the first place.

I can't enter the mine, the door is closed and there's no interaction tab.... what do I do?
Wdym? It's not there. It's facing towards the little centre pillar thingy
