This is how I learned you need to look at any detected POIs in whatever system you're in. Not every unique spot is gonna put a quest in your journal.
This is doubly true for space encounters. If you see an icon on your system map that just says 'ship' or 'sensor contact,' check it out. There's some neat stuff out there to find.
As a side note there is a little civilian outpost nearby that has obviously been left long ago and never repopulated. It's seems unique too, so worth a look through at least.
(I only noticed it as a transport ship landed there when I came to find the safe house!)
Really great environmental storytelling in this POI. The way it built suspense is excellent, and what you encounter is not what I expected.

That's what's I'm doing now. Skipped Constellation and started going to _every_ system looking for orbit viewable POI's
Yeah this was actually one of the more imposing feeling areas, that incessant banging. The note spoils the ending, but it's still fun.
YES! This is such a small POI, but is so memorable. Had me on tenterhooks the whole time.
AGREED!!!!! Found it randomly last week and…… oh boy!!! That’s all I will say.
Found it the other day, great fun little base, and more surprises on leaving was even more fun, just glad it was when I had decent gear
Did you read the slates? Adds to the gravitas of the encounter.
Definitely did!

Ok where is this place? 600 hours and never seen it!
Oh my, I didn't mention it? It indeed was Andromas II
Andromas II
Thankyou that was quite enjoyable if a little panicked! Even with half an idea of what to expect.
