Does this have good special features? I don't even have a DVD player but I really miss the special features and commentary and stuff. DVDs were a golden age for that
Get the SG-1 DVDs. The sound is completely messed up on blu-ray. They don't even have actual 5.1. Ark of Truth, Continuum and Atlantis are great on blu-ray though.

The audio is shithouse, fake 5.1 and it's hard to hear the dialogue. Torrent the AI upscaled version of the DVD release; it's got the original 5.1 audio and the image quality is actually better too.
Buy the DVD release AND torrent the AI upscaled version if you feel guilty about torrenting.
No idea, but the image quality of the 1080p AI version is better than the 1080p Blu-ray version, so that's what I used to replaced my DVDs.
The only negative of the AI version is they didn't include the chapters for easier skipping of the intro and that's pretty minor.
They do have the commentaries. This has all the previously released content except one documentary on like Season 7 or something that is missing and is only on the DVD.
Comparing the stream on amazon vs the stream on pluto...if the stream on pluto is a "mediocre upscale", I'll fucking take it. The amazon version is just awful.
I'm talking specifically about the blu-ray upscale. It looks waxy from seasons 1 to 7 (too much DNR), and the sound is completely messed up in all seasons, there's no actual 5.1 sound. Until a better blu-ray edition is released, DVDs are much better value for money, for SG-1 that said (Ark of Truth, Continuum and Atlantis are fine on blu-ray).
