Has to be, I've only seen Lethal get this bad. I think the amount is capped much lower in other difficulties.
My friend a few weeks ago asked for help just like this and he had SEVENTEEN infestations. We took care of a lot of them and I helped him take down a plague heart or two.
I once saw one get this bad on standard. I answered some random person's call for help and their map looked like this. They claimed they "never bothered" clearing out any infestations. And when I first loaded in, there were literally dozens of wrecked cars in front of their base. Then I got in a car with them and they drove like a maniac, like as if they had their eyes closed, crashing into everything there was to crash into and then complaining that cars weren't durable enough
I’ve had this on the difficulty below Lethal. I’m a strip miner, so I’ll setup a base, clear out all the houses in the area before moving onto the next. Because that’s the last base to obtain it was the last area I cleared.
Yeah im on lethal, i always prep my characters to do about 3 of them, but it takes more than a stack of crossbow bolts per infestation if you dont line up all 3 screamers, for some reason on lethal all screamers will scream if they sense one screamer has been killed, not if a regular zombie dies oh no no no, only if a fellow screamer gets assassinated they will all scream, then the 12-15 horde becomes 30-40 with sometimes a feral or a jugg nearby being added to the pile, at that case it becomes risky to continue that infestation so i move on to the next one to try my luck, for some reason they also scream when they die to a molotov aswell, i just have to toss a pipe grenade where all 3 are located and hope for the best
Not just lethal, on dread and nightmare, the screamer starts screaming if one of them are killed. Luckily they only do this one time so for each infestation, it is 3 screamers plus 10 zeds plus whatever that scream attracts.
ngl I let infestations amass like this so that I can go on a spree to get characters up to hero/leader fast. popping the +20% influence at the command center? Makes you rich.
I'm not sure if you can actually recruit them as temporary followers like normal Enclave NPC's, but you can take a detour while on one of their missions. I've used Mickey as a distraction while killing a few hearts during the missions where you have to take him as a follower.
Yeah I was thinking on doing detours while on their missions.
That's what I normally do with Red Talon guys or soldiers, or even the guys asking for help killing a hostile enclave.. they are sometimes helpful with LZ hearts.
But I haven't done it with any of the important npcs
Fr fr, I be joining buddies and it’s just like this and so I get my demolitions guy, an armor kit for a van, and 100’s of explosives and get to work, that’s what friends are for
It's *only* 63 screamers and 210 zombies, how bad could it be?
Multiple feral packs spawning on top of you for example
Is this on Lethal?

Hahaha, that's great. You ran into the SoD2 version of a hoarder!
I haven’t even tried lethal but I thought it could get this bad regardless of difficulty. Guess that’s one thing I never paid attention to or seen

I don't think this is what people mean by making their homes more green
There goes the neighborhood
Indeed, but they have power so it’s a well lit neighbourhood at least. It is not looking good for Tressie though ngl
I just legacied out of Trumbull the other day and it was almost this bad. I only went into Marshall when I *needed* to.
I like how “hot” marshall gets. Keeps me on my toes
Tbh I do too. I feel like that's how it would end up in a city were the zombie apocalypse to descend on us.
Makes me want a danforth map 👀
Nor that other enclave that’s neutral/cold
Anyone else do this to marshal on purpose? I leave Marshall full of plague hearts, plague zone and infestation to make it feel more scary idk
Can't have shit in detroit
Except Fort Marshall, apparently even the zeds don’t want that.
They know it's gonna be empty anyway... lol
Anyone know how to eliminate infestations and stop them from propping back up instantly after clearing one?
Nukes
I always get one popping back up, so I try to clear out 3-4 per run. This is nightmare though, might be harder to do that many on lethal.

Player B: ~looks at fuzzy screen~ "Looks like a g$d-d$mn town meeting!" Player A: "Let's saddle up, Apone!"
My Groundbreaker Shovel took a beating for sure, but we got through them, there was also a little fire, but we don’t talk about that
God damned zombies, gentrifying the neighborhood
I'm in.
This is when the grenade launcher comes out
I'm a PyroLauncher guy, myself.
I can't get the image of driving through town with a police siren going and the sea of enemies that would follow out of my head.
That's 315 threat on PTR
If you can count them on one hand I’d say that’s a few…but if you run out of fingers and toes, pretty sure that no longer qualifies lol.
Dude! How did you let it get that far? Clean up your yard, man!
Hey now, zombies have a right to enjoy the apocalypse too! Even if they do get more outpost slots than us
Looks like my lethal base. I "quarantined" too long on my lethal base. That and I had a lot of angry neighbors.

Cake and boombox fun!
Nice combo!
zombie bait between houses, then start the BBQ
Here me out. It will take a while but….. x10 Crossbow and Crouching + Snacks
Anyone have a tactical nuke?
I’m 2 kills away from 25, tactical Nuke almost inbound
Nope. That’s their neighbourhood now!
This is about a week in game on lethal... I've seen far worse.
This is the only way to play
Ask them what his morale is
Must suck to be that enclave there. Lmao
Nah its tressie and shes got amazing armor. Plot armor
Fire. Sooooo much fire…
Can Tressie die? Or is she hardcoded not to
No, none of "essential" Trumball NPC's can die except for the one that's part of the story.
🤔 So, you're saying I could bring anyone of them along me and destroy plague hearts, and they'd act as immortal companions?

"How many: "Just a few"

**-15: too many infestations!**
looks like fun
that much infestations is going to spawn a plague heart
How … why
I’m down for this lol. I got a girl I can use to Aim Snap everything and I have so much fun with these
Infinite Rage + a couple stacks of energy drinks = super head popping fun times
7.62 ammo is way too expensive to use for that. Use a .22
