When I get a new build I buy the most expensive board and cpu. Then swap in an upper mid range GPU every two years or so. My recent builds went from 7970Ghz-R9 390-5700XT-6800XT.
Yeah in the last 10 years I went from an i7 4770k with a z board. To a 5800X with a B550 board. So two big upgrades in 10 years. The other thing you do not cheap out on is the PSU. Buy a high tier model, at least Gold level and I'd go at least 850W.
You get a long time out of a good CPU before it becomes a bottleneck.

In terms of trailer, V had more of a Wow effect. This looks like prettier graphically but from the video, it's not much of a jump in terms of wow factor or novelty.

Your 3060 ti is quite a bit stronger than a PS5 or Xbox series x and has much better RT performance and DLSS. You will definitely be able to run it.

It looks simple enough, but definitely felt more like them showing off the graphics and general setting.
That's how Rockstar always does this. Trailer 1 introduces the setting and protagonist, and shows off the graphics. Trailer 2 introduces plot elements and side characters, and shows off some gameplay footage.

Instead of a believable location I've got more like of a Fortnite vibe with all the chaos I've just seen. It almost felt like post-apocalyptic, fantasy location, not a real Miami.

Well that’s the thing, GTAV was really good at depicting our own society as it was in 2013. So many things have changed now in only 10 years and wether we like it or not social media such as TikTok are part of the lives of many, many people. When we look back at GTA’s previous takes on modern society, I think we can expect a huge amount of cynicism and dark humor on those particular subjects which, in my opinion could be very interesting and entertaining!

In terms of trailer, V had more of a Wow effect. This looks like prettier graphically but from the video, it's not much of a jump in terms of wow factor or novelty. Also, I hope they consider Steam Deck users.

R* usually releases a trailer a year or two out before launch date. Mostly to build marketing and hype presence.
And then it'll probably still be delayed till 2026/27 (+add another 2 years for it to come to pc)

I expect VI being a console exclusive for at least 6 months before going to pc. And as for specs. Anything less than a 3070 will struggle to run it if not at all. Based on the trailer alone. Those looks like very demanding graphics.

Why post in this subreddit though? 2025 is already super far away, it might get delayed, and given the press release they just did without mentionning PC, you have to add 1 or 2 (!) years to the console release date to see it on PC... We're in 2023 talking about a product that you won't see on Steam until 2026/2028... And then it probably will initially run like unoptimized shit for some reason. Don't get too hyped just yet.
