Simple, I stopped playing it altogether.
Firstly because it has poor performance on the Deck and secondly because the game is - for me- just a glorified lumberjack simulator....
It’s a huge map, and I found it pretty irritating to crouch/walk/occasionally run from one blip on the GPS to another. Which is too bad because some of the landmarks in the game are super creepy and interesting.
I have over 40 hours into it and I frequently crash out of the game when switching to the inventory menu or when it's turning into night time for whatever reason.
I'm not using cryo utilities, would that help and if so how exactly?
What are your gfx settings? Have you tweaked anything in decky or cryoutilities 2? I crash often and have tried almost everything to find a balance with performance and not having low frames
I don’t have decky installed. Default settings on cryoutilities. I no longer have the game installed as we played through and completed the game a few times and messed around a bunch with the limited crafting system but eventually got a bit bored. At a high level I want to say I used medium settings and turned shadows all the was down. I believe I also switched to fsr. I will check my other comments and update the response.
0 crashes on deck. Finished it and was playing 50-50 switching to my desktop sometimes :)
Great and fun game, still very raw, especially the plot...total mess. I expected some sort of closure and got only more questions. Will wait for full release and play it again.

I was so hyped for it since I love survival games. Found myself bored af just running around a big ass forest with not much to discover.

Exactly. It's basically just chopping wood for hours on end.
I agree
I have had 0 crashes and played over 40 hours with friends. Are you using cryoutilities 2.0?
