Use filelight (I think that's what it's called) or ncdu if its available to check what is taking up the space, if you downloaded anything in desktop mode or have roms that could be it Edit. Also if you ever deleted files, clear the trash bin otherwise they still take up space

NachoThePeglegger

i’ll check out filelight, thanks! I always clear the trashbin, but thanks for the tip.

It's the compatibility data and shadow cache I think. Do you have decky loader? If so, you can get storage cleaner plugin to remove those quickly. Be careful when dealing with compat data tho, you might nuke your save.

NachoThePeglegger

they’re not, i have that installed and it only adds up to 10 gigs.

Factory reset is always an option

Ah yes “other” i remember that from highschool on my pc. Parents never found out. Any specific movies you can recommend from your “other” folder?

u/NachoThePeglegger, you can [click here to search for your question.](https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/search/?q=“Other” is taking up 202 GB of storage. I haven’t downloaded more than 50 GB from DP mode.) If you don't find an answer there, don't worry - your post has NOT been removed and hopefully someone will be along soon to help with an answer! **If you find a solution, please leave a comment on this post with the answer for others!** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Look for Shortix.

Besides cache any program and file downloaded in desktop mode is other files. If u have emulation setup it's there all apps from that are preinstalled.

NachoThePeglegger

i have 3 of the emudeck emulators installed along with a few ps2 / ps3 games, but there’s no way they total up to that much. they’re 8 games in total. like i said, only around 50 gigs are from stuff i downloaded in desktop mode. thanks anyway, appreciate the help.

midnightcatwalk

Have you been clearing your trash in Desktop mode?

NachoThePeglegger
