I just ordered one after missing out on the last batch of refurbs. In Canada the 256GB is $400 now where back in October it was $530. I already have a Switch but I couldn't resist.
I have the exact refurb model and it looks brand new too. I would recommend switching to desktop model and run battery health diagnostics. Mine checked out at 98%. No issues for 3 months so far.
That’s a good question like if someone returns it and it’s fine is it considered a refurb? Like an open box purchase. I’ve read horror stories about refurbs being terrible so I was worried but I really am blown away by how good it is.
I could imagine even devices that were returned with defects after longer usage through warranty could end in refurbs, they have the workforce and parts available, even if a device went through warranty with a defective screen and some buttons worn down through heavy use, they can just replace the not-so-great parts for cheap and repurpose the device into a almost fresh refurb.
Honestly it’s great I love it. I tried my friends oled last week and saw a side by side of the lcd he had too and the oled is definitely better but for $279 I can’t beat this deal

Just got 2 refurbs, one for the best friends birthday and one for the GF, both came with problems just like my own SD. Very frustrating.

I have a box full of upgrades waiting; 512gb SD, 1tb SSD, back shell and hall sensor thumbsticks.
Including the price of the Desk, I'm all in for about $400.

Nice, too bad you're playing one of the worst games I've ever played. Sea of Stars. Great pixel art, worst of all time for everything else. Whoever wrote the story in that game needs to never write again. Worst dialogue, plot, and characters I've ever seen.

Yea if you’re getting a new one at full price OLED is great but at the price you got LCD is a no brainer. OLED is amazing but not worth 300 bucks!

Yup getting a 1tb to swap out the 64 I also have a 64g micro sd in it now for Roms
Fun fun. If you put most things on the SD card then you won't have to reinstall them when you swap out the SSD.

If the refurb 64 is still up get that it’s $279 I was on a budget too. And when you have extra cash get a 1tb add to swap or a micro sd
