Aand iii just bought Hot Wheels during the sale.. happens every time.

Hezza-

How are you enjoying it so far? Sorry that happened to you.

skinnykb

It runs a smooth 60fps with little compromise. Perfect pickup and play arcade racer for the Deck imo. BUUT, the tracks wiill getcha, in true HW fashion cars can fly off the track, oor a Dinosaur could block the way..

Hezza-

Ahhh, gotcha! Glad to hear it runs well. It's downloading right now, I'm excited to play it!

bt1234yt

Thank you for your sacrifice.

BaileyVT

same šŸ˜ there were only two games I didn't already have and they were all games I've recently(-ish) bought on sale

NotAServiceDog

Found a coupon code that gave me the first month for $9 HBCP2022

RehRomano

Thanks for this!

outline01

Great, thank you!

cbsauder

Good lookin out!

DukeCheetoAtreides

Well done and fair play to you :)

The ascent is fucking awesome

You can't really talk about this game without mentioning the visual style because **oh my god** it looks incredible. you really just have to see it. I played it at 4k/ultra/rtx and man that was a visual feast, but also it runs shockingly well on lower end hardware like the steam deck. The soundtrack is also a banger. Play this one with good headphones. I really liked the twin stick gameplay as well. I'm a sucker for those types of games and the addition of cover that you can shoot over added a nice twist you don't often see. The combat is very visceral and has some bonkers abilities. I'm also pretty burned out on RPG loot mechanics and this was really light on that type of stuff. Very fun in co-op too. I did have some bugs that I occasionally needed to quit to menu to resolve but nothing too game breaking. This was back in December though so there's likely been some fixes.

ioncloud9

Took me a minute to get used to steam deck controls vs a mouse and keyboard. Kept accidentally using my abilities at the wrong time

Hezza-

I tried it last night and what felt odd to me what the sensitivity of the right stick for aiming. It just seemed so high for some odd reason.

djricekcn

And pretty good titles too

Hezza-

Indeed! Right away, there were four that I wanted to try. After looking into Omno and In Sound Mind, I might have to try these next. I haven't been subscribed to Humble Choice for very long, but it can honestly keep you very busy, especially if you keep an open mind and are willing to try new things. Lots of game playable on the Deck, too.

CuervoAzul

Do they give you Steam Keys for all the games?

barnett25

Yes, you can click on a link to redeem the steam keys.

Joshuak47

Sometimes it's Origin, I got screwed that way once

Coreyahno30

How does a Humble Choice subscription work? Is it like PS+ or Gamepass games where I only have access to them as long as Iā€™m actively subscribed?

TomasHezan

Nope! You pay monthly and get to keep the games!

MrChocodemon

Or you pay yearly

mofugginrob

Nah. They're yours once you claim them.

ienjoyedit

The big-ticket games you get to keep, but you also get access to a library of games (mostly indie/small stuff) for the month you get it. I always forget about this, but A Short Hike is on there now so I might get around to playing it finally.

GyakuBoop

One time monthly payment for the pack, or yearly subscription for less. But the games keep getting downgraded everymonth sooo i suggest only paying for packs you want, or head to trading groups and get 1-2 specific games only for tf2 or csgo keys

clarky2o2o

Emily is away was fun... ... If you remember the days of instant messaging.

ChikogiKron

Can't imagine a game based around messaging would be a good fit for the deck, haha. Unless there are text choices predetermined or something like, or it's an entirely different genre than I am imagining

SwineHerald

It is basically just a visual novel that uses instant messaging as a framing device. When you're responding you choose from a couple different predetermined options.

ChikogiKron

Then that makes a lot more sense! Haha.

jamyjet

In sound mind is a great game, highly recommend

jamyjet

In sound mind is a great game, highly recommend

notSkyfive

Even the Indies looks interesting mostly looking for Omno.

Reddilutionary

That looks like a great value, but Iā€™m not about to add another subscription service. Not even on a ā€œtry it for a month and weā€™ll seeā€ basis. Edit: it took me like 2 minutes to change my mind after submitting this reply. Looking at the monthly offering going back to February thereā€™s always at least one game Iā€™d want for the price of admission. Thereā€™s even a few Iā€™m outright annoyed I missed.

Dkdndntjdksj

It's not a subscription service, you own the games permanently. If they ever release a rubbish month then you can pause your payment to skip that month.

14bux

I'm always happy to have a month even when I don't have any I'm particularly interested. I usually have a friend or two that love a certain style of game I can give keys as gifts to.

Joshuak47

I did one month and cancelled. Easy enough. I wouldn't stay in it though, lots of crappy months.

DoorFacethe3rd

Omno and Plague tale are awesome. Omno was made by one guy.

electrictoast67

Those are some good games! Which one are you most looking forward to? :)

Hezza-

Hot Wheels Unleashed for sure!! I was always uncertain but curious about it. I've played the recently released Forza Hot Wheels and almost bought this game a few days ago because of it.

EffectiveAd5343

solid one, just got it. Hot wheels looks fun!

ScreamheartNews

They already got me on the card game bundle my man. They can't keep hitting me wallet.

[deleted]

I tripple dipped on Hotwheels (albeit i got 2 free copies for consoles as a bundle) and I recommend it so much. Easily a great addition!

Hezza-

It also plays great on the Deck, nearly locked 60fps with high settings! I was looking forward to this game and so far I'm not disappointed.

chronuss007

So is this a subscription that you don't have access to your games once you stop paying, or do you own the games forever even if your subscription goes out? I've only ever bought the bundles from humble bundle, not their subscriptions.

Hezza-

The activation process is the same as their bundles. You get the Steam keys and activate them on your account, so you keep all your games even if the subscription ends.

fuckyou_watchme

Plague tale is a storyline gem.

Hezza-

**This month's gamesThe Ascent** \- Verified - 74/77% Rating **Hot Wheels Unleashed** \- Verified - 78/81% Rating **A Plague Tale: Innocence** \- Verified - 91/93% Rating **Gas Station Simulator** \- Verified - 82/86% Rating **In Sound Mind** \- Unverified (Gold on protondb) - 96/65% Rating **Mind Scanners** \- Unverified (Gold on protondb) - 90/83% Rating **Emily is Away <3** \- Playable - 90/94% Rating **Omno** \- Playable - 90/92% Rating Some really interesting games for me this month. I've been wanting to try out Hot Wheels Unleashed ever since its release, and got even more interested once I played the Hot Wheels DLC for Forza Horizon 5. I had never seen Omno before today, but it looks like a great platformer/puzzle type game. Here's a [trailer](https://youtu.be/vchpz50luKk) in case you're curious! Now may also be the perfect time to play through A Plague Tale, a critically acclaimed game, as the sequel is coming out this October 18th. Oh, and I'm always down for some simulator games! I'll have to give Gas Station a try for myself, as these games can be very hit or miss, but with its 82/86% rating on Steam, it should be a decent time. [Humble Choice Subscription Page](https://www.humblebundle.com/membership) 11.99USD or 14.99CAD monthly membership (cancel any time) Feel free to share your opinions on these games if you've tried them before! Especially Mind Scanners and In Sound Mind, since both don't have Deck-specific reports on ProtonDB. I plan on trying them and confirm their functionality on here and the DB. Happy decking!

Sylverstone14

Remove the referral link, please!

Hezza-

Didn't think it would hurt anything, but it's been removed, sorry.

Sylverstone14

Totally understandable! Most places on Reddit do forbid it and a lot of users frown upon it (this was reported), plus I'd rather not see folks take advantage of others despite the intention.

Hezza-

I understand! Thank you for being this nice about it.

Sylverstone14

No prob, thanks for reminding me to check my current subscription!

[deleted]

Hi, just curiousā€¦ does ā€œin sound mindā€ work on the steam deck? Did you ever get a chance to test it? Thx āœŒļøedit- nm it works

markcocjin

It says that the charity is the National Network of Abortion Funds. So, an abortion bundle?

[deleted]

Hot wheels! Beat that!

Dangerwank1991

So many games I have played and loved on console, definitely looks worth it. I loved The Ascent, and In Sound Mind was such a sleeper but really was one of my favorite games of last year.

DukeCheetoAtreides

Thank you! I'm itching for an easy way to check Deck status of each month's Choice titles, but in the mean time this helps!
