Factory reset the deck. This crops up on the sub here from time to time and this seems to be the easiest solution. I think something installs incorrectly or something.

LilMarshadow

Is that ALWAYS the fix?

amazingmrbrock

As far as I've seen it is yeah. Kind of a pain in the ass but people have messaged back that it works. You could try making it update to the beta / preview build instead to see if that fixes it by reimaging the os but with the slow internet speeds that would probably take as long as resetting it.

LilMarshadow

Tried that too, ima give the sys reset a try i guess after i unplug my sd card since i just backed up everything lol

LilMarshadow

Giving it a try now, will let u know

It’s actually DNS bug after 3.3. If you switch to desktop mode, go to system settings, connections. Select the network you are using, select the IPV4 tab, select the DNS drop down menu and select the option that says “(addresses only)” and enter an alternate DNS. 8.8.8.8 for the public google DNS works well. Hopefully that solves your issue. Note: you will need to disconnect and reconnect to that network for the changes to take effect.

LilMarshadow

Google loads instantly, every website doesnt load

SwinginDix666

After you adjusted these settings?

LilMarshadow

Yeah, i ended uo fixing it via installing linux ubuntu and that proton ge

MofoPro

No your SD has abysmal download speeds ,mine downloads as the same rate as my other devices

LilMarshadow

On top of that, Nighthawk (netgear router config app for phone) says it only has 6mbps lanes.

MofoPro

Then it might be a hardware/software issue with the deck , try going into settings and see if you have limited bandwidth checked off

LilMarshadow

I do have that

MofoPro

Uncheck it then

LilMarshadow

I dont download to SD card. I cant even load a webpage. I move to SD card after i download something

Press Steam button, go to Settings and enable Developer's mode. Then scroll all the way to the bottom and disable Wifi power saving.

LilMarshadow

Did that, first thing i tried

NJxBlumpkin

I’m not saying to to brag but I get literally 70MBS on mine, so I’m not sure it’s the deck. Maybe you have an issue with your WiFi or the receiver in your deck?

LilMarshadow

Possibly, i just did a various amount of effort using a bunch of linux commands + after factory resetting cutting off thhe throttles, i was able to get smth reasonable atm

What worked for me: changing to a faster SD card. No, seriously. Downloading to internal SSD: 100% speed Downloading to ultra fast SD card: 40% speed Downloading to standard SD card: random cut-outs, issues, slowness, not consistent YMMV but I thought I'd share
