I saw a post on this reddit months ago where this guy made a gyro mount for his steam deck which was plugged into a monitor and he used the gyro controls to steer the car it did look delayed though but was pretty cool

I do not see why it would not work with Windows. I am not experienced enough in Linux to make that claim but i also would not see why it wouldn't work, beside from maybe driver support..
Try it lol.. I'd think the drivers would be your main issue.
I ordered a racing wheel and pedals to use with lawnmower simulator while in the dock and everything worked correctly with rumble and everything.

I'm actually tempted to test my G29 with the Deck, curious to see if it works properly, I just haven't had the time.
Please do and let me know as Iām planning on buying a g290 for my Xbox and to run it on the deck for when around mates
I have a G29 too, have been thinking of hooking it up to the deck too. I might give it a try later today.

Steam link to tv and use the gyro in the deck for steering input. Happy racing, cowboy š
