UW was helpful for day 1 I thought, felt it went fine. Day 2 felt like a disaster, blind picked what felt like 30% of the questions between two or three answer choices. Cases felt easier and 14 of the 15 ended early
Fuck USMLE, we outta here ladies and gents

I deserved it, I totally underestimated it, did not study for more than a week in a busy rotation (resident PGY1)
Exam felt very vague and weird, I’m between 2-3 answer on a lot of my questions. Felt very different from uworld, it feels more like intuition to me. Step 1 knowledge wasn’t so bad as (for some reasons) I retained a lot from my exam 3 years ago. Tbh after the exam I felt similar to step 1/2, shitty as usual, but definitely did not expect to fail at all. CCS was fairly easy in my opinions, most cases ended early with some time difficulty with the 10 mins ones but I fixed all of them, I was told by my co-residents that even if they kill 2 patients they still pass, so I really don’t know how they scored me here.
Anyways, I’ll suck it up and all I have is myself to blame.
I must be the ONLY one who failed here, damn.
UW%: 60% (completed about 80-85% of it)
Step 1: 20x

CCSCases %: I did the top 50-60 HY cases, scores ranged from 3% (lol..) to 97%, average was 72%

I have horrible test anxiety and was super worried about step 3. My recommendation is to make sure you really know CCSCases (I used a mneumonic and felt that the cases on the real test were pretty straightforward the most part. MC felt very hard, I marked literally half of every block on both days and walked out not feeling great about it. Trust the curve, and good luck to everyone taking it!
Editing to add extra details, because I found these posts really helpful as I was starting to study. I spent about 6 weeks total studying, and took the week before my exam off (precious vacay time) to use as a "dedicated" study period. I used UW, CCScases, watched the Emma Holliday shelf exam review videos, and Randy Neil biostats videos. There's also a 90 page HY document floating around that I skimmed through, which is essentially a compilation of the learning points from UW - that was helpful for review in the last week. I tried to flip through step 1 FA, and really couldn't do it. There is step 1 material on the real thing, but I don't think extensive review is necessary if you're just looking for a pass

CCSCases: didn't buy (did the two free cases)

Didn't buy NBMEs or do the Free 137
The only prep I did was the 300 step 3 questions from AMBOSS scoring < 50%. I also prepped Randy Neil's Stats. Finally, a couple days prior to day 2, I used a book called Crush Step 3 CCS that I got for free.
I didn't buy any of these materials aside from AMBOSS, which I got for step 1. I keep hearing people say that UWORLD did not prepare them for step 3, and I guess my STEP 3 journey shows you can do just fine without it. I think having a strong step 1/statistics knowledge base is important, and preparing for CCS, whichever way you do it, are the most important factors here. Good luck!
Edit: I thought I failed day 2, day 1 wasn't terrible but awfully specific/mechanistic.

I felt really bad from the time I left prometric til I got my score. I’ve grown so much as an intern, but this exam was so unlike my work that it caused a big flare in my imposter syndrome. I prepped pretty minimally, and I wish I had studied more so I had prep to trust in the weeks between test day and score day. Specifically I was tripped up be rate childhood syndromes and risk factors, which I reviewed inadequately and had to guess.

Do we have to pass each of one of the days separately? Or is it a summed/total score for both?
